I love the location of this hotel, right near the Georges Pompidou center, and not far from Chatelet-Les Halles... it's also very easy walking distance from Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame!
It's very small. This is a European thing, I know, but it's still very cramped. The room has great wifi, a TV with satellite television, and not too much else. The bed isn't terrible, and the shower has great water pressure.
A couple of notes:
* The staff is friendly
* There is literally ONE electrical outlet I can use... near the floor outside the bathroom door. There is nothing near the desk that isn't already occupied (TV, minibar, coffee maker). This makes me unhappy.
* The shower is TINY. But above all else, the floor is slippery. There is no mat, so be very careful.
* This is an old building, so there are stairs to get to the elevator. Yes, you read that right.
* I came in after 9 p.m. one night (dinner), and I was prompted by the front desk clerk for my name and room number, I guess to prove that I was a guest? Not sure.
With all that said, it really isn't a bad value, given the location. Just be prepared for what to expect. read more
