Oye, another business page that I started that I wasn't the first to review for!! Sad... Anyways, so I first discovered this place at the 626 night market in June. It was fried potato goodness! For $4 you get a whole potato that was cut, deep fried and flavored however you wanted. I tried got mine mixed with garlic and BBQ. It tasted good together and was fried well... really crispy and tasty! At that time, I would had given them 4 stars! I went again for the night in July with my friends and we just had to have this again!! The lines for this one are super long! All the way back to the entrance. There is another potato stand that sells this very item as well, but they are not as packed with people... I don't remember what flavors they have there though. So this time, my friend and I went with sour cream flavor, which did not disappoint at all! However, this time around, it was $6 instead! Increasing it about $2 a month later seems like a lot of me! Somehow, it also looked a bit smaller to me... Anyways, my friend and I devour this nonetheless, but I had to drop it to 3 stars for increasing the price too fast!! In talking to the workers, I learned that this business originated from Canada... kinda a long was to come here, right?? Anyways, I recommend this place because it's yummy and I love the looks of wow I get from the people who see me eating it! LOL. However, if they increase their prices again for the next night market... I will have to try the other potato place instead.

They had a booth at the OC Night Market and the line for this place was longer and had more seasoning options, plus their potatoes looked better than their competition, so we decided to try them out. It was fun watching them cut the potatoes into perfect spirals. They were fried to a somewhat crispy texture, but unfortunately, they looked better than they tasted. The chili lime powder they used was not good at all! We didn't even want to finish it. :( Luckily, we have a friend who ate the rest...he said it tastes better if you wait a while.

Longest line at the 626 night market!!! 5$ for a stick not too bad. They have 18 different favors!!!! Took a min but I chose Cajun cause I like spicy. Took a bite wow!! It was really good. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Service was great especially the lady that was taking the money!! The experience was cool. Had to wait awhile in Line tho. Gotta try it!!! There mango lemonade was bomb!!!

I've seen these spiral potatoes so many times when I used to frequent Downtown artwalk however I wasn't intrigued enough to try it until I saw the huge line at 626 Night Market. Each stick is $4 which isn't bad considering fries at any restaurant will run you around the same price. I tried both the garlic parmesan and the caramel. The flavoring is provided by powdered dust that is sprinkled onto the potatoes. The flavoring was good but I couldn't really taste the distinct caramel flavor...it was mainly a sweet taste which is great if you're in the mood for something sweet but isn't candy. I would recommend sharing as by the time I was halfway done with my stick I was pretty sick of eating potatoes -_-' It is worth a try if you haven't had potatoes on a stick but once you have, the novelty wears off :(

Tried this for the first time at 626 night market! The line was around 40 minutes, so we figured it must be good. It tasted like thick-cut potato chips on a stick. Extremely crispy and oily, but the bacon cheddar seasoning was tasty! Considering it more or less equivalent to a small bag of potato chips at twice the price, once is definitely good enough for me. (It did make for lots of fun photos though!)

Check out the cajun potato spiral to Tiffany ratio. *__*

Throwback to summer of 2014 when I had my first 626 night market experience! I asked my friend who is a connoisseur of these kind of events, and she told me the two things I absolutely had to try were potato spirals and stinky tofu. Not brave enough to try the latter, I decided to find some potato spirals, especially since everyone was yielding potato spiral swords it seemed ^_~. There were lots of different stands selling it, and not going to lie, Hotato Potato got my pick because it was so fun saying the name. (HOTATO POTATO ^__^V) Bf & I decided to share one, because unfortunately, we only had enough cash for one ($5). We decided to get the cajun flavor, and lucky for us, we came at the optimal time, because the line took no longer than 5 minutes. First impression (upon first bite): Man that is a lot of powder... Eventually it got better and the flavor was better distributed, but in areas where it's super concentrated, it was superrr salty. Cajun flavor was not too bad though, but if I come back, I'd like to try Sour Cream & Onion next time. :) Also pretty oily though, but you don't come to night market and expect health conscious food, right? Overall, not bad. Maybe if the line is too long next time, I'll try one of their competitors.

Lo and behold, thanks to Christina the business exists on here and has been christened "Jiang Xiang Bing Guy"! Although he was working solo that day, when I decided to return on an empty stomach, he had an assistant helping with seasoning and chopping up the 酱香饼. There were about five folks waiting by the time I got there Sunday evening. The guy with the blue UCLA hoodie was purposefully putting on a show, since he had two phones set up for streaming. Every now and again, when he gets a request from someone, he would say "OK no problem!" and continues with kneading, rolling, and transferring the dough to the big ol' frying machine. At $10 per order, perhaps a part of the cost is the spirited mini-interactions. After paying via Venmo, I showed the gal my phone. 他是老板 she said jokingly as she handed me the food. I had mine mild, and honestly it was a delightfully crispy and savory snack for a cold winter evening.

Intrigued and a lover of street foods, I went last night to check it out hoping he was at the same spot and he was! (Honestly San Gabriel Superstore parking lot be popping with bomb street food stalls and trucks over these past years). The guy was calling his food a Chinese pizza but it's actually a Chinese street food called Jiang Xiang Bing(酱香饼) which basically means "saucy pancake". If you can't speak Chinese(don't worry he does understand English though but he spoke to me in Mandarin by default lol), just give him $10 and he will give you a portion. If you don't have cash, he has QR codes for digital payments and once it goes through you can hear his phone notification from his car. When he's done making the bread and ready to chop it, he will ask you how spicy you want it. You can say "xiao la" for mild or say yes and nod your head for the regular spicy lol. The pan fried flat bread was crispy and the sweet and spicy soy bean sauce really went well with it, I'd get it again!!!

I already came here for tacos multiple times already but felt like trying something new so I got the California Burrito. They didn't give a receipt but I am guessing it is around $12-13. And I think the tacos are now around $2.50-$2.70. They take card and cash but I believe card has tax. They have the salsas and onions/cilantro out in the table in front of the truck so you can grab yourself while waiting for the food. The food took around 10 minutes are so which wasn't bad. The California burrito was nice and big and very delicious. It comes with steak fries inside with your choice of pork or beef. I went with pork after asking the lady which one she recommended. And it was good! There is also some sauce but I couldn't tell if there was any guacamole. Maybe there was but very little. But the thicker fries was just a perfect combination with the pork and sauce. The only thing lacking is a bit more meat to balance out the fries and some guacamole. I tried a California burrito at another taco truck before but this one is so much better! I will be getting this again and try the beef. I totally recommend this taco truck for tacos and burritos! They taste authentic but just a bit pricer for the tacos. I would say it is more worth on Taco Tuesdays when it is cheaper. This is my go-to taco truck spot.

I normally get tacos but their nachos, fries, dirty dog, and flautas are really good! They also have weekly specials. I haven't tried their fish tacos, burritos, or tortas yet but im assuming they wouldn't disappoint. Their sauce bar is basic but has everything you need. Their to-go cups are at the pick up window, probably to help with waste. I dont think their sauces are very spicy but they're fine. My fave is their salsa verde. They're open late which is nice after events. They're fast and super nice! the line can get long at times. 4/5. Would come back again.

We found ourselves at Chef Darko's pop-up, which turned out to be an awesome one-man operation set up in a random parking lot in Sierra Madre. Chef Darko told us he's cooked all kinds of cuisines over the years, but recently decided to do his own thing with this burger pop-up. We went with his OG smashed burger, though he also gave a strong recommendation for the chili hot dog. Maybe next time! We grabbed seats on the outdoor patio connected to the brewery, which was perfect because it meant I could enjoy my meal with my pup by my side. Chef Darko personally brought over our burgers, served on his house-made ube buns. He tells us the buns are baked fresh daily using ube straight from the Philippines. The burger came topped with cheese, onions, pickles, and mayo. For someone like me who doesn't usually go for burgers, I loved it. The pickles had a little kick and were nice and crunchy. Even my husband, who's usually not into bread, couldn't stop raving about the ube bun. He even ordered a second burger right after finishing the first! Next time, I'll see if I can ask for grilled onions instead of raw, but other than that, the OG smashed burger was a total win. We're definitely coming back.
