What compelled her to RSVP for this event? Maybe it was stress, maybe it was curiosity, perhaps it was boredom? We may never know what the motivation ~truly~ was. All we know is after this event the girl was changed. She woke up the next day and searched Yoga on Yelp, filtered by "nearby" and never looked back. Okay, so the 20 something was me. And I am 26, and I am a millennial so how is it that I have never tried yoga? Who knows. And I did look back! It took weeks of stalking Madeira Beach Yoga via Yelp to finally decide to sign up! The platform they use is integrated with an app called MindBody and so signing up for classes could not be easier! Not to mention, it's really, really competitively priced! I was able to purchase a bundle of 5 classes for just $65 to be used at any time through December. I love that I can select different classes each week..including YUP you guessed it, beach classes. I know I often equate food experiences to "heaven" but let me tell ya...this is on a whole 'nuther level. My favorite class I have taken was actually on the patio. It's in ROC Park which is beautiful in it's own right. The instructor named Vanessa began the class by asking us if there were any parts of our body we wanted to focus on. What an amazing personalized touch! Of course I whined about my carpal tunnel (I am certain this is something most Yelpers can relate to). She incorporated some special stretches for our wrists and fingers. The session was wonderful! But it got better. Because this patio is right up next to the intercoastal there were real life actual dolphins that joined our class. I am so serious. We found shashvana while watching a small pod of dolphins swimming by our sides. Am I deep in the Yoga koolaid now? Maybe not yet. But I am a huge fan of the practice, and even bigger fan of the instructors, and am totally over-the-moon for this business. Do you want to know the best part about Madeira Beach Yoga? This is the only "fitness class" that I have ever joined in for and haven't felt completely awkward ~new girl~ vibes. The ballet class was a great work out, I wore my baby in my Ergo Sling and learned the classic ballet foot work. The yoga class was relaxing, I let my baby play with the toys they have in the back of the room while I enjoyed the class. Om Sweet Om has family friendly classes every day, I love that I have something fun for both my baby and I to do especially during this hot summer. Everyone is so friendly, I love the community they are creating. They remind you of the schedule on Facebook which is nice too.

You can do so easily on their app. But keep in mind they do charge for cancellation less than 12 hours on top of that. Motivation right there! They don't like you being late, so if you can plan on being a little early. I personally like the Center & Balance, Reformer Flow, and Restore classes. Wish they had more of the Restore classes as that class gets packed and can sometimes be hard to get in.

There were a number of people who recommended Zen and we were very pleased with our services. Zen is located on Gulf Blvd just .25 miles from where we were staying so we walked to it. Cute little studio with lots of cute items to shop while you wait. The person at the desk is super sweet and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when I called on Monday and was able to get us all in the same week. I booked for a full one hour with Rebecca and the girls each had 30 minutes with Caroline. The atmosphere in the rooms is very relaxing, the only issue was that you could hear the talking and commotion in the hallway and lobby area. That was a little distracting but that could have been the room I was in. I asked for a deep tissue massage and Rebecca did that. Wow, she really worked some muscle knots out. I almost fell asleep. I would definitely go back to her when I am in town next time. The girls both said their massages were good, just short. I just appreciated being able to get all of us in on that short of notice.
