This is a super cool, friendly and unique hidden spot in a residential area. Built in a nice large house with a massive garden, it's perfectly welcoming and peaceful! Plus, there is plenty of parking! I've only personally discovered yoga a few months back and someone I met in class told me about this place. I probably never would have found it otherwise! I've visited a weekend market in the garden and enjoyed two classes so far. Each was a new experience for me! I even got to try 20 minutes of tai chi tonight before yoga stretching and perhaps some audio therapy! I don't know what that is about but it was an amazing in-the-moment experience! Came here for a Saturday morning hot yoga class. We had a new instructor who told a lot of stories during the class. I'm sure they may have had meaning or value but I wanted a more peaceful and quiet class with less talking. The class also had a lot of attendees and felt a little cramped. I've been practicing yoga at A Yoga Village for 7 years. The teachers are all excellent. During the pandemic I've been able to 'live stream' classes. It's been great to interact with the instructors and other yogis before or after class! (Almost as good as being in the studio). Lots of different styles of yoga, something for everyone! read more

Yoga Village is very close to where I live and I only wish I had started going there sooner. I started taking classes about 2 weeks ago and am enjoying it so much. They have such a variety of classes, for beginners and more advance students. All of the teachers and staff members are so kind and helpful. The facility is very clean and the exercise rooms are large and can accommodate a lot of students. If you are interested in starting yoga or are experienced, this is the place to go to learn or continue your yoga practice. Sacred sound bath healing with Deborah was absolutely amazing. I feel so calm and the entire experience was awesome. You can actually feel the vibrations in your body change. I've done yoga for several years, but I'm frugal and busy so, although I'll attend the odd class now and again, my ongoing yoga experience has always been limited to Youtube. Operate with that knowledge as you read this. I had decided it was finally time to join the 3D world of yoga when I was recommended A Yoga Village by a yoga instructor friend. I bought the 30-day "explore pass," exclusively for newcomers, for $30, which is a great deal considering that a single class is $15. Regular membership is $79/month with a contract and $99/month without. There are membership specials for students and families, and $5 community classes. If you need to use a yoga mat or, if you're like me and you have several but forget them constantly, you can rent one for $2. You can also purchase snacks (most are somewhat healthy), mats, apparel, books and miscellaneous trinkets. When I saw the alignment and deep stretch class I was excited because I've been wanting to increase my flexibility and I felt like my home stretches weren't cutting it. The class disappointed because it isn't as aggressive as I'd hoped. But the instructor gives clear directions and the postures are appropriate for someone looking for a gentle stretch. After that I took a power yoga class and felt the exact opposite. This is your hardcore contortionist gymnastic yoga, which I found kind of awesome but I was also worried that because I'd never done that kind of yoga before I would bring the class down. The instructor assured me that wasn't the case and she encouraged me to continue. I attended one or two Sunday power classes and two Tuesday power yoga classes, all with the same instructor. I really enjoyed the challenge, but sometimes the instructions were unclear (part of that is due to my own lack of familiarity with the postures) and I would got frustrated. The instructor is very energetic and kind, but sometimes when she would correct me with an instruction and I didn't follow, she would just repeat the same thing she'd said before instead of explaining in a different way. That's an important skill for a teacher. Especially when you're moving the back of your kneecap behind your upper left spine and while balancing on the tip of your pinky (not quite, but close). The studio is an interesting compound type getup. There is an outdoor space, possibly for kundalini yoga, something I wish I so could've utilized before my pass ran out. Were the regular monthly fee not so high I would've joined but, as I mentioned, I'm quite frugal and there are other yoga places in the area that I would try before committing to this spot. Why three stars? Because my experience was neither awful nor great. It was okay. And that's what three stars are for. So take that for what it's worth, and have a peaceful day. read more

Five stars for a great yoga spot with many, different classes that is way more than just a "studio". I've driven by Yoga Village many times before deciding to give it a try. I ordered my boyfriend a "Explore the Village" pass for $45 which allows one month of unlimited yoga classes before deciding to sign up for a membership. I visited with him a couple of times and was so impressed. They have SO MANY classes ranging in type and skill level. Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Hot yoga, meditation, restorative, prenatal, children's classes, Mommy and Toddler classes, intro/basics, and community classes for only $5. Their schedule is posted online and offers classes all week at different times during the day. Members can signup online to guarantee their spot in the class which is very handy for planners like me. The grounds are lovely. Nice outdoor area, chai tea always brewing, kind and courteous staff, and a shop with yoga clothes, gear, essential oils, books, etc. This seems much more than a studio and more like a community. Membership costs are a bit more than the original, first month pass, but for all of the different options, it seems like a good deal for steady yogis who visit at least a couple times a week. This is definitely my favorite yoga option in the Clearwater area and is very welcoming for anyone who wants to give this yoga thing a try. Namaste. read more

I'll preface this review by saying that I do not like Yoga: I went to this particular place because it does serve my area only being about 8 minutes from my house and I needed a very low impact workout and to relieve a wealth of stress that I've been carrying for awhile. I walked into the place and the atmosphere is as you would expect therapeutic oil smell, and a boutique with yoga clothes and jewelry also art work and other small items for sale. The lady that signed me up was very nice she explained all the types of classes I could take and which ones I would like according to me preferences. They where not snobs, I was made to feel I was welcomed. It cost 45.00 for 30 days of unlimited classes which in my opinion is a great price. My instructors name was Carol Anne she was very gentle and sweet we had a very relaxing class which really only consisted of 4 or 5 poses. I found that wonderful because I could use them later in the week and learn as I went. I am also usually pretty overwhelmed as a frequent beginner of yoga because I find that teachers would rather show off their own ability with a million poses which I never can remember rather then truly teach for lasting practice. The class only had me and another woman in it which was very nice as well. The studio was clean and felt very cozy, I also think that was due to my instructors personality. I wrote this review a day later because I enjoy working out generally and I also look forward to being slightly sore the next day so I know I did well. I am ! The best part is that I didn't know I was doing hard work. I'll definitely be back. read more

This yoga studio has become my home away from home. I came to place on a whim (I happened to see a groupon and decided to join). I'm so incredibly glad I did. I've practiced yoga in the past however yoga village is a more traditional experience. You take you shoes off before entering and the little shop when you walk in is always welcoming. Yoga village focuses not only the physical and emotional aspects of yoga but also on the spiritual. They offer a tremendous amount of different yoga classes which I love. I practice almost daily and this allows me to vary my routine. The teachers there are wonderful. They will assist you in elevating your practice. Yoga village also has a very zen like garden which I love spending time in. If you want a more welcoming traditional yoga practice with immense variation and opportunities then this is absolutely the place to be. I simply adore Yoga Village. Side note: since joining I've lost 22 lbs due to my healthy diet and almost daily practice! read more

I've been to this location periodically through the past ten years and it's continued to grow so arguably there is benefit to be had. I think the main benefit is it's easy accessibility to McMullen Booth Rd/Enterprise Rd/ US 19/ and Tampa Rd. The location is situated to attract a lot of clientele. Which, because of its large reach, I feel it very important to make my review about a discomfort and undercurrent I perceive there. It is a very odd experience there if you are not a practitioner of their religion. I'm not certain what religion is going on there (I'm guessing Hinduism) but it is a yoga studio posturing as a pseudo-religious environment. Multiple multiple women are dressed all in white with headdress that is not explained anywhere in class or on their website. Most teachers have religious pseudonyms and there are offerings to a religious figure on the wall. If you want to just stretch physically and feel your body move, this is not the place to do, it in my opinion. It limits my experience to mentally protect myself from indoctrination and question their motives because it's not explained or discussed so customers can make an educated decision. If it's a religious Hindu yoga studio, say that so expectations can be set. There is a subtlety that says practice yoga and here long enough you'll realize you want our religion too, which is dangerous. I hope that is not what they are doing but that's how the experience is received. All over their website they talk about practicing yoga, however when you arrive you're surrounded by these costumes and pseudonym names that are very religious therefore it becomes uninviting if you don't want their type of religious practice. Then it feels isolating to have to separate self from environment while there to practice oneness in the body. It's a very uncomfortable experience if you are not looking to pursue whatever religion they are clearly practicing but not stating. I think they need to be more transparent about their philosophy and belief system to make it clear what to expect. It's a dangerous and slippery slope to engage people in yoga practice with a religious agenda, society is deeply troubled and prone to disillusionment already as it is. read more

A Yoga Village offers classes 7 days a week in their beautiful studio space in Clearwater. The instructors are all wonderful teachers, and they inspire me to keep improving every week. The staff is welcoming, kind and friendly. The environment has been recently remodeled and has expanded. It is absolutely gorgeous and state-of-the-art. Many types of yoga are represented at the Village. I love the kundalini, hatha and Amrit method classes, and think it is also wonderful to be able to try new styles in one peaceful place which is easy to do at Yoga Village.They offer interesting gatherings and workshops on a regular basis. The studio updates their calendar online so it is easy to see who is teaching and which classes are being offered that day, week or month. I like to attend regular classes and also find new ones, especially if I have to miss one of my regular weekly classes. I have been very happy because if I miss one of my favorites, I can find always find something interesting to try that week. Some of those "try-outs" have turned into new favorites. You can pay class-by-class, and multi-class bundles are also available. Studio memberships are the best deal if you come to class at least twice a week. I highly recommend membership! I am so glad that I found Yoga Village. It is everything that I want in a yoga studio. read more

Yoga Village offers many different styles of yoga from Hatha and Hot Yoga to their wonderful Kundalini Yoga classes. Make sure to attend one of June's classes for the gong or one of Sunder's full moon gong meditations! The Kundalini Yoga teacher training is a wonderful 9-month, life changing experience. Our weekends were packed with great information from experienced teachers, wonderful meditations and new friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a strong foundation for teaching! The gift shop is always full of new and time tested yoga music to inspire your practice and books to deepen your knowledge. I have never been to a yoga studio where I feel this comfortable. I had Lindsay as my teacher twice, both times she was extremely helpful. She didn't make me feel out of place or uncomfortable once. Just from taking two classes from her I already feel that I'm better at yoga. Next Time im in town I will definitely be going back to one of her classes. The studio is beautiful, but several of the employees are quite off-putting. EVERYONE I have ever dealt with at the front desk has been short, cold, and at times downright rude. It is unfortunate because, as I said, the studio is so lovely. I've been practicing yoga for many, many years now and I don't know if it is because I was a new face to the area, but I got the feeling that I had wandered into a private clubhouse. It seemed like a burden to the man or woman at the desk whenever I wanted to purchase more classes. All in all, lovely physical atmosphere, truly it is. The psychic atmosphere, not so much. There are many more great yoga studios in the area: Hot Yoga just a little way South on McMullen from this place, Life Work on Cleveland, and I've heard wonderful things about Anala, also on Cleveland (which I will give a try). read more

I enjoyed my Introductory month of unlimited classes very much while visiting Clearwater. It gave me the opportunity to try all their classes and teachers. They do a lot of things well here. Studio is beautiful, clean and has a great vibe. Front desk staff are efficient, kind and friendly. I like the online schedule. Many classes are crowded, mat to mat. I wish some students would behave better....don't come in late, and do your 'before class gossiping' outside the practice room! But the teachers are qualified, and seem to want to help their students. They start on time and were always prepared. My true love is Bikram right now, and some of their instructors come closer than others in their hot classes. They have nice products, too! I did a little retail therapy here before class. They offer many different levels and styles and they were very professional. They even have a small store inside which I don't always find in a lot of studios. I didn't get the greatest service or the best welcome when I first signed up which eventually made me change studios.
