Extremely pleased with everything thing about "Hot Yoga Jupiter". As a total beginner @ 58 years old I began September 23. Hot yoga Jupiter staff and members welcomed and supported me. Ninety minutes of any exercise is challenging but somehow everyone gets through it in my experience. Update: I took a class this morning and it was wonderful. I did express my concerns to the instructor and they gave the entire class their money back for dealing with the nonsense yesterday at the noon class. I will say today is what it is supposed to be. The guidance through the class was perfect, the atmosphere was relaxing and I left in the mindset that it's meant to help with. Thank you and Namaste I recommend everyone except one instructor. Today she showed up obviously impaired on drugs and/or alcohol. The class started late, she couldn't stand up and kept falling, she was trying to practice with us and by the 1 hr marker we were on position 5. I left sad and disappointed. Please get her the help she needs. Other than this experience I would give it 4 stars it is a nice facility. Instructors are good. read more

So I started going to this studio a couple months ago and I really like it. I met one of the owners Sarah and she super nice and welcoming. I started going to Svetlana's Sizzle and really enjoy it. I am one that needs a very hot class and she delivers. If you are not a fan of fans, LOL, and love the heat this is a must try class. It is now part of my Sunday routine. If you like Bikram and 26/2, this is a great place to practice. read more

On a trip to see some family while looking for a Bikram class I stumbled upon this gem of a yoga studio. The place feels like a temple. I don't mean in the sense that there's yoga kitsch draped over everything, but it feels like care and attention has been put on the space, its bright, and its simple. So many studios feel strangely laid out and this one felt just right in every conceivable way. I know it's been mentioned before but the owners/operators are twin sisters and a total delight. The instruction was clear and crisp and I found myself at a level of extension in my practice that I have a hard time getting elsewhere. They know the regulars and there is a sense of community that's palpable after just one visit. I even met a really cool dog. read more

Instructor 1 star. Studio 4 stars. I took a class with Kerry. The room was cold. He allowed the fans to remain on for the entire class. They were on when we went in and they were on when the class concluded. Beyond this he left the back door to the outside open, left the back door to the studio cracked open, and cracked open the front door to the studio. This created a draft that was unbearable. I was cold in a "hot yoga class". One person actually closed the front door half way through class, however Kerry re-cracked the door open. I guess he could not understand that people were cold. I also saw a girl cover up with a towel while laying down to keep warm. Now for the good! The studio is beautiful. I love the feel to the studio and the energy from the people was wonderful and rejuvenating. I have heard great things about the owners as well. Can't wait to come back with a better instructor. When I talked to some ladies about the cold class I was told that I need to find instructors that match my heat needs. "There are hot teachers and not so hot teachers". I feel this is a bad situation as Bikram is supposed to be consistent. It isn't supposed to be about the instructors interpretation. Where I came from, if you are too hot, step out for a moment and come back. But you don't negatively impact the whole class by lowering the temp. Quality control and holding instructors accountable for meeting the heat and dialogue profile would have me give this studio as a whole a 5 star rating. read more

The instructors are great at providing the right amount of motivation while still respecting where you are at in your practice. I took a hot yoga class here on 4*6*16 and let me tell you, IT WAS THE WORST CLASS EVER. I'll list why... *too many back bends *teacher/owner was not motivating *no music *talked the entire time (super annoying) *very poor instructions *she called me "distracting" because I did a headstand. *criticized my practice for going at my own pace and doing modifications that felt right for ME *corny jokes *class ended 20 mins late *left in pain instead of feeling relaxed I would have left in the first 10 minutes.. However, patience and perseverance are apart of my practice. The best part was leaving. She definitely put a lot of effort into singling me out of the bunch.. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience. On a positive note, the studio was very cute and clean. Also, the boutique had a lot of beautiful items.... Too bad I was convinced not to spend another penny there once class was over. read more

Been going regularly for almost a month now. Studio is super clean, and they have a nice boutique there as well. They offer a 1 1/2 hour regular Bikram style class, and they offer a 1 hour express class. My classes seem to be a mix of beginners to more experienced yogis. Bathrooms have showers and always seems to be clean. I would personally recommend this studio. read more

I just love it here. The owners are delights at every turn and know when to push you or just leave you to try your best. The temperature is always spot on and it is the best smelling Bikram Studio I have ever been to! Showers, Kombucha on tap, waters and coconut water available. Ignore the two poor reviews - it's Bikram yoga, people! It is supposed to be hot as hell and the instructor is supposed to lead the class through the same 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Check wikipedia. I had the opportunity to attend two classes in the early summer. The instructors Emily and Holly were great, the owners Sarah and Rachel were very welcoming, and the studio was spotlessly clean. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Wow I was really surprised by the 1 star review. I love this studio. Laid back. Dedicated teachers. They have one class that's super hot on Sunday. Maybe the other reviewer took that without realizing it they also have a great boutique and a warm welcoming spirit. Cassie the owner is a hoot. I was looking for their number and decided to write a review. There are seven 5 star reviews that are "not recommended" don't know why or what that means but read those too. Just moved to the area and actively looking for a studio where the instructors are knowledgeable, welcoming, and professional and I think I found it. I almost didn't try this studio because of prior bad reviews but decided to give it a try because those reviews are 2-3 years old. I have only been there once and will definitely come back. I like that they lock the main door once clad has started. This is great considering the students leave personal objects on a shelf close to the door. Rachel taught the class and her pace was good. I equally loved her guidance through the poses to ensure students are doing it right rather than hurting themselves. They have showers in case you need them. Everything was very clean. Finally, I loved they offered watermelon slices at the end of the class. Nice touch to cool down. Don't know if this happens all the time but it was nice today. read more

I don't know why anyone would go to a Bikram yoga class and then complain about too much talking by the instructor and too many backbends and being expected not to do headstands... People should really do a little research as to what type of yoga they are walking into BEFORE showing up at the studio--We are all presumably adults here. That said, I used to go to another studio because of the wild fluctuations in temperature here, but new owners took over this year and I have returned and now practice there regularly. It is a very friendly and clean studio with great teachers. They do have a scheduled super hot class called "sizzle" for those of us who like it extra hot, and they also have 1 hour express classes (which I was skeptical of at first but have begun to love). This is definitely a great Bikram studio, and I would recommend that anyone who had a negative experience there before the new ownership (but loves Hot Yoga) give it another try as I have done. read more

I have been to many different studios in the area and this one is my favorite. The new owners are very nice, the studio and bathrooms are clean, the practice starts on time, and they lock the doors when class starts. I appreciate this as it prevents late comers from disturbing the flow, and gives one a sense of security for their belongings. It is cleaner than other studios in the area, and the clientele is less "plastic" and more open. People come to practice Bikram, not "be seen." I am also a bit surprised by the one star reviewer who felt the talking, no music, headstand, etc. was an issue. It is clear to me that the reviewer may not be familiar with Bikram Practice. It is not for everyone. It is very specific and detailed. It uses 23 positions performed twice. The first time is to get used to it/understand it, the second is to correct in your body what you can feel is "off." One of the theories I have heard in many Bikram studios is that the class moving through each position, together, as one unit, increases the serenity, focus, and flow of the group. As with any practice, informing instructors of your injuries/limitations helps them move you through this practice. I have actually signed up for another year of unlimited as this practice has healed a great deal of my injuries. I am slowly improving, but by no means a yogi! Sunday evenings is SUPER HOT, but it is intentional and listed as such. The more you come, the better you feel! Try it! read more
