A major plus is the price as the yoga classes are only $6 each, less if you buy multiple. The…read moreinstructor is not the best. She does not have a calm voice, says the pose name typically instead of saying how to pose, and is easily distracted. It's a very small class, about 6 people. This means plenty of room and you can be assured a mat as well as a ball, if used. Sadly the instructor doesn't really pay much attention so she won't advise how to adjust your stance despite the class size. Very friendly and chatty group often. Each session is about an hour long.

It's great for all ages and we have a diverse class of all ages and abilities. If you're looking for a positive, encouraging atmosphere, wanting to challenge yourself in new areas THIS is your place. Ive tried other gyms before but was always worried that I wasn't pushing myself enough, working out all of my body or even getting my moneys worth. After a classes here I feel that I've really worked out, and I see lasting results because of it. Lorraine has been a great friend of mine and I always feel comfortable asking questions. The class seems to go by fast as there's a variety of exercises you do and stretching after. I feel confident here. Step Into Fitness really is a gem in this city! Kenyon is home to one of the most exciting athletic centers of any small college in the country. Spacious, welcoming, architecturally stunning, and equipped with top-flight facilities, the Kenyon Athletic Center opened in January 2006. Soaring glass walls, arching steel trusses, and sleek lines make for a dramatic design. Open views and abundant natural light throughout the building promote the friendly interactions that shape Kenyon's spirit of community. In 2020, the Kenyon Athletic Center was renamed the Lowry Center to honor William E. Lowry Jr. '56 H'99, a three-sport Kenyon athlete. The building features the 200-meter Barrett A. Toan Indoor Track, an Olympic-sized pool named the James A. Steen Aquatic Center within the Lowry Center, the 1,600-seat Tomsich Arena for basketball and volleyball, the stunning 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art Patterson Fitness Center that houses over 200 pieces of exercise equipment, and the 120-seat Beulah Kahler Theater for game film review and team meetings. In addition to the previously mentioned sections, the Lowry Center also holds ample room for racquetball and squash courts, multipurpose rooms for dance, yoga, and aerobics, several study lounges, a Multi-Activity Court for recreational use, four conference rooms, a café, and substantial locker room space. There was lots of activity like a basketball game in the arena, a swim meet, students working out at the Lowry Center. I swam in the Steen Aquatic Center that was wonderful because the college hosted the Special Olympics Ohio South Central Swim Meet which first class for a NCAA Division III school. The Kenyon Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams have won multiple National titles in NCAA Division III. The facilities has lots of historical things of the past accomplishments in sports at Kenyon College. I will have to come back to work out and swim with the help of Kenyon student, facility member, or alumni. It is one the best facilities for a small college because it has every thing that a student, facility member, alumni, and guest needs. Thank you.
