Hot Wok - Crab Rangoons - Chinese Near Me - Copperas Cove, Texas

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered egg drop soup and it arrived ROTTEN! My husband ate one spoonful of it and had to rush to the bathroom to throw up. Called to let the restaurant know about the soup and they said it wasn't their problem??? Told us to leave a bad review. $2.40 for one beef egg roll. Absolutely do not reccomend. Save your health and your money. Photo is what arrived next to an orange for a color comparison. This place should be shut down read more

The food and services were amazing. Each entire had its own flavor which is not typical in this area. The service is top notch friendly and completely on their game. read more

The lady was really nice and the food was out in no time. I had vegetable lo mein and beef steak. Both dishes we're so delicious. The vegetable was very fresh and crunchy. I haven't had such good Chinese food in a while read more

Food is always spot on! We got take out. Hubby had sesame chicken and I had beef Szechuan. I'd asked my order be not too spicy and it was perfect. Food is always good lunch or dinner. Thanks Hot Wok read more

We ordered take out and had pan fried house noodles and kung pao beef. The entrees were tasty, the "fried rice" was terrible, it was hard and nothing but brown rice. The wonton soup was horrible. It was not even edible. The noodles in it were watery and completely uncooked. The broth unidentifiable as to what flavor it was supposed to be. We might try again given that we did enjoy the entrees, but be warned...AVOID the wonton soup and fried rice. read more

There needs to be an option for no stars. The fried rice was mushy, the Pepsi was flat, the chicken tasted like it sat in soap overnight. You are better off going to Heb and buying a frozen Chinese dinner. Look at the color of the chicken . I'm the type of person to usually be able to stomach anything and this was in the garbage with quickness. I practically spent $37 for two fortune cookies. read more

I really wish the soup and eggrolls were better quality. I was very hungry after leaving the VA Clinic nearby but after finishing the hot and sour soup, I definitely had some stomach problems leading to Gastro distress before bedtime. Well, you can't win them all but I don't think I'll be headed back to hot wok anytime soon... read more

If I could leave Z E R O stars I would! After eating half of my white rice & dumped the remaining on my plate to be greets by A DYING ROACH- a whole in tact roach I immediately called the restaurant back- they refunded me our money & drove back out to the house to retrieve all of their food. This morning I contacted the health department & to my surprise- they knew exactly who this establishment was. They will be sending an officer out to do another inspection. The employee on the phone asked if I had ever been inside this place. I had not- that comment in itself should have this place shut down. Save yourself the delivery fee (I live in Kempner & this is one of the only places to deliver to us), save yourself from the disgust! This actually was our 2nd time eating w them. The first I ordered Lo Mein & it was spaghetti- was attempting to give them a second chance. Never again- jokes on me DO NOT ORDER OR GO TO THIS CHINESE RESTAURANT!!!!! Dying roach free of charge when you order white rice. read more

There is very good reason their prices are so low; it matches the taste of the food. I had Combination fried rice which was tasteless with rubbery beef. The poorest meal I had in a very long time. The service was fine and the server pleasant. read more

PSA: The Hot Wok Chinese restaurant at 411 E Hwy 190, refused to fulfill our online order placed through a link on their website. They stated that it may have been a scam site even though we have ordered through it previously. Management was zero help and just didn't care. We gave them our order confirmation number and offered to email our e-receipt, but that seemed like too much trouble for them. Bottom line this is a business that does not care about the customer, and will never be trusted with my business again. Zero star rating if the app would let me. read more

I ordered over $14.00 of entrees and got hot mustard with my order. The hotmustard seemed spoiled and outdated. When I called, the manager on duty said "there was nothing he could do". I asked him if he would remake my food and he simply said "NO". No refund, no remake, just a "I apologize". Been going there for over 3 years now, and an issue was resolved, but now new management won't even blink an eye to take your money.. ONE LOST CUSTOMER. Will be telling people NOT to go there anymore.... read more

Last time we went, the food was disgusting and cold. They also got the order wrong. Service wasn't too bad

Everything was AMAZING!!!! I had a egg drop soup, shrimp fried rice, & chicken Lo Mein. Egg drop soup was an A ++ Texture, taste, consistency. Shrimp fried rice; rice was perfectly seasoned/ salted and cooked w/ great amount of shrimp! Lo Mein was tasty but we'll cooked. Liked how there was a great presentation; even for to go. Service was nice; served with a smile and intro with a hello. read more

very dissatisfied. Food had no taste! The waitress was very pleasant, but her pleasantness was overcome by the poor taste.

This place has the worst chinese food I've ever had, I've traveled the United States and have had Chinese food from every state I've been in. By far this place is completely shitty!! THE WORST FOOD EVER!! The food is so bad my dog wouldn't eat it, when trying to exchange or return food I was told to pay an additional full price for each item. I wasn't happy at all with the customer service or the food, Copperas Cove has some of the worst food ever! 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE read more

So, how many of the local folks use Hot Wok? We placed an online order for delivery. Called after 1hr 20minutes, manager said they never got the notification of our order. She said she will start the order now. It is almost 2 hours later. She never made any attempt to offer any kind of "so sorry" offerings to us. I understand that sometimes technology is not our friend, however the technology you choose to use is your call. Now, they will not fill the order and say that they cannot find the order. I feel like your stuff failed YOU and you should have offered something to try and keep us as customers. I feel like this is just one aspect of customer service that companies completely ignore these days. I shall never Hot Wok again. Hope we are the only ones who have gotten this experience. I would rate you at -100 if it were possible. read more

Nothing but liar and thieves This began months ago when my friend used my number to order delivery which shows hot wok inability to run a business being 3 hours late and the food being cold They black listed my number So I instead of taking accountability they refuse service like that will make the problem go away Fast forward a few months I moved to a entirely different address ordered online they charged my card Not only did they inform me they refuse to deliver my order but refuse to refund me So if you dealing with these people your dealing with liars and thieves read more

I just had the most marvelous vegetable egg fu young!! It's very hard to find a restaurant that serves it at all and then to find it very good, was nearly a miracle! I also ordered a combination plate that I'll be eating off of for the next 2 days! I'm in love with this restaurant and definitely will be ordering again! Never eaten here in person but my husband and I have ordered twice now in the past week. AMAZING customer service. The delivery drivers are amazing and so kind! The food is TO DIE FOR! I'm from Washington and haven't found a good takeout place here yet but I feel so at home with the sweet and sour chicken and egg drop soup, it seriously made me cry. Thank you so much Hot Wok! Add us to your regulars list!!! read more

Delivery was fast, people were friendly. We ordered the sampler appetizer which was hit and miss, crab Rangoon was good, spring rolls were good, chicken and yakimandu were not very good. I ordered the chicken curry and wouldn't order it again, it had very little curry flavor and was thin and they'd tried to compensate with spicy pepper but it didn't help. My husband ordered the pepper steak and it was great. The fried rice was not good at all, very plain and only a bit of egg in it, no veg or anything. The portions are huge though. read more

I work just down the road and for some unknown reason this establishment has decided that we're on their "no deliver list." When asked (very politely) if there was a reason or if we as a business had done anything wrong, they couldn't tell me. So that's fine. Panda Express will be getting our business from now on and we will never recommend this business to anyone again. read more

I decided to dine in at Hot Wok tonight. I have ordered delivery from them in the past, but never dinned in. The restaurant itself is a little dated, but was clean. Our waiter was very nice and respectful to us. I ordered a combination spicy lo mein with a side order of fried rice (pictures coming soon). Now I can see why a lot of people don't like the food, it is pretty salty. However I love a lot seasoning on all my food! So I really enjoyed my meal. The General Tso chicken is really good too, that is what I would recommend you try if it is your first time trying this place. read more

Food is edible, but let's be real. I pay for food to be good, not just edible. Dishes were not clean. The yakimandu was mostly air. Cashew chicken was mushy (and tasted like pork, not chicken). Chicken lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles. Wtf. So this place is a no. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. We ordered the orange chicken & it was literally just fried chicken. I couldn't even tell it was orange chicken because there was no sauce. It was dry and flavorless. We also got the fried rice and chicken lo mein and those both were super bland as well. The fried rice was just rice with egg. No veggies. They really don't sauce anything!!! read more

Just ordered from top wok. They did not give us the lunch specials, charged us full price. Can't correct order, can't cancel order because managers day off. Am I wrong to think that I call at 12:40 ( lunch specials are from 11 to 2:30 )that I would want the lunch specials. Do not order from this restaurant. God dang food was bad too. Food was edible but far from good and was very bland. The pan fried noodles were literally just uncooked noodles out of the pack instead of cooked noodles that are pan fried. I love meat. Meat is my favorite thing ever. This place promised me a bountiful feast of dead animals on the Mongolian special. Shrimp they say. Beef they say. They even dare to add some chicken in there. But nay, all I got was onion. Seriously, I got onion sprinkled with meat. Now my gains are suffering and my muscles are dwindling. My breath smells like big foots dick. What kind of sadistic animal would lie to me and then try to MAKE ME A VEGETARIAN!! Also. The steamed wontons were all right. read more

Hot Wok - ONION ORGY - Chinese Near Me - Copperas Cove, Texas

I don't recall ever writing a review on a Chinese delivery place, but this one is a solid choice! The General Tso's Chicken had great flavor with a decent amount of spice unlike so many other places. The Crab Rangoon was perfectly crispy and had a delicious blend of cream cheese and crab (imitation of course) and also did not have the overly sweet flavor that seems so common elsewhere. The "fried rice" substitution with the entree was simply steamed rice browned with egg and a touch of oyster sauce, I believe, but it was tasty. As soon as I called I found out my hotel in Killeen was outside their delivery area. They said they could charge a delivery fee of $8 and still complete the order. Despite the fee, I thought if it was that far away surely my food would be cold and soggy, so I wasn't sure I wanted to go through with it. I'm glad I did, though. On a Sunday evening, it took right at 30 minutes from them to my hotel room door on the 4th floor, impressive. And the best part, everything was hot, crispy, and delicious. When it comes to Chinese delivery, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Hot Wok, especially in this area. I'm only in the area for a few more months on business, but I'm sure I'll order from them again. read more
