Most of the clothes (especially dresses and tops) are geared toward small-chested, skinny chics, neither of which describes moi. However, I've lucked up with more than a few super cute finds. You really just have to try everything on and not assume it will or won't fit. This particular location is quite small in comparison to locations in other cities. They rarely have what I'm looking for so I end up buying mostly online and just returning here if it doesn't fit (you cannot exchange unless they have it in-store). I agree with other Yelpers' sentiment about the workers. Service is subpar. They are completely disconnected from the customer service aspect of retail. I may get a greeting upon arrival, but usually that doesn't happen. I usually feel like I'm bothering them when I ask a question. I hope St. Louis adds another store in Frontenac or West County. In the meantime, I'll come here only if I need to return an online order.

I love the top's sewn in style in the front and also the shape of the strap in the front. I love how it gradually gets smaller towards the back. (The best part of this swimsuit is that you don't need to remove the padding and it doesn't get all messed up. It is sown in and it stays perfect!) I love the underwire push up, it gives it a nice push up look. I also really love the back of the strap, the style, and how it looks like a bra strap- it looks super cute! My favorite part is the back and how it ties and what it looks like! It's not complicated and is very simple. I also love the shape and style of the tie on the back. It is sown perfect, make it super comfortable and easy. I love everything about this top, it is sown perfect well constructed. Great quality and the stitching is well done, could be a little better. Thank you Altar'd State! Excited to see what you have next, looking forward to more pieces from you! I love the colors of the bottom and how it's mostly pink, especially in photos. My favorite about these bottoms are the sides and how it is held together. How it is sown and the style. I also love the back bottom, and how it covers your butt. I love the low rise and not covering the stomach area because I love to get tan. I don't love how some swimsuits are too high rise. - You can't seem to find any low rise ones anywhere these days. Also love the front coverage and how much it covers. The back emblem is cute "As Revival." The sewing is satisfactory and could be a bit better. Overall great quality and super comfortable. Easy to put on and take off. Absolutely love these bottoms and think they go perfectly with the top! Thank you Altar'd State! Can't wait to see what you have next!

Tried several pairs--none quite right. A sales associate in a fringe jacket "helped" -- she grabbed a few pairs, but one was three sizes smaller than I asked for. As I went back into the fitting room for a second time, she said, "Round two, huh?" Came out with two pairs I was considering. She found different sizes, then asked if I wanted to "take them home to try on." I said I live an hour away. Her reply: "So no then?" I asked another associate to hold the jeans while I decided to pay full price for jeans that still had waist gapping. As I left, the fringe-jacket associate went to the counter and started talking about me to the staff. Every item I tried on was re-hung or folded neatly on the chair -- I worked retail before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, so I know the struggle of running fitting rooms. Madewell's brand is built on inclusion, confidence, and helping every customer find their perfect fit -- values I've always appreciated. Unfortunately, this experience didn't reflect that at all. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome instead of supported.
