I came here to do their buy back program. The objective is to bring your gently worn clothes and make a profit if they like your items. I'm not sure what they are looking for but they really don't take good name brand items. Plenty of traffic doing this and all customers including myself leave with literally the same amount as I came in with. I've been wanting to check this place out since secondhand is the way to go! We were greeted once we entered, and they let us know about their current sales. Since we were just browsing, we weren't looking for anything in particular. Their men's section was pretty big, and I liked the styles we saw. As a plus size girlie, I was kinda impressed that they had plus size.... but then also not. Unfortunately, the plus size was grouped as one universal size instead of the usual 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, etc. We left without finding anything, but it wasn't too bad just maybe not the right space for my needs! read more

Great option for discounted clothing however it is VERY misleading to have discount signs (40% off) hanging on racks of clothing where such a discount DOES NOT apply. When asked about the discount the staff comments that such discount applies to items in the store that are not even on the rack where the discount sign is. read more

First time at this location. I walked in the door took a quick glance and right away a young associate approached me asking if it was my first visit and I responded yes she did and proceeded to say welcome in and these are specials if you have any questions please let us know. That presentation right there Gave me the OK to continue to browse and shop around. I was in there for at least a good 45 minutes up to one hour proceeded to go to the front counter purchase my pieces the young lady there asked if I found everything OK and I responded yes and then from there are three ladies working the counter proceeded to have a conversation with me. This by far was one of the best visits I've had at a retail/resell location in a while. These young ladies being between the ages of 19 and 22 can definitely teach a lot of other individuals how to represent their workplace, And their work and firemen. Very clean location very nice staff. I really liked the selection of clothing that was displayed also. Nice gently used garments reasonable pricing. I've brought in SO MANY name brand items just to be offered nothing. I've brought in MK, COACH, HUGO BOSS all with tags am within season. Today I brought in a genuine leather jacket (purchased brand new last season for $120.00 w/ trendy silver hardware & 2 Hugo Boss men's medium tees with tags from last spring) & I was offered $13.00. Meh. Prices are a bit high for a resale shop. If like immediate, overwhelming attention before you're barely inside, this is your place. A gal with a ton of energy bounded up to me to explain where things were (with her head turned away and talking over the people at the register, so I caught only half of it) told me about their current sale, which sounded ok, but after the ambush, I felt a little confused and put-off. I'd honestly have preferred to get my bearings and look around first. When you are asked to right someone else's wrong, and yet you suffer the consequences, it makes me want to ever do the right thing because of someone else's mistake. Uptown Cheepskate St. Peter's location- My daughter and I have been customers since you opened. We have bought items from there and sold items there. We've recommended your store to others. After today's treatment, by the manager on duty (Jay), we will not shop there. We will not recommend it to others. You've lost two customers. We questioned the total as we were checking out. The associate verified our purchase and we left. About two hours later I received a phone call. The acting manager stated that there was an error with the transaction. I called and they wanted to charge us for an error that their associate made. While technically, they couldn't charge our card we asked about the error. I was quoted their return/exchange policy, which was irrelevant considering we did nothing wrong and they contacted us. I asked if we returned can we get a refund since this is poor customer service to call and tell me to right their wrong. The acting manager needed to pause to take a moment (when I said, hello and received no response- thinking she hung up). They said that this is not policy-they do exchanges or store credit only. Plus, we used a Visa gift card, she said they could only give store credit because of this. You get the idea. Since it took us a couple hours to return to correct their associates error, we made peace with returning one item and keeping the items that were charged to the gift card. When we returned, unbeknownst to us we were now being refunded for everything, including the gift card, HOWEVER, when we explained that we were willing to return the one item and pay the tax which was the difference we'd owe, the acting manager failed to listen and now we have a bigger mess. While I appreciate the gesture to return everything to, "make it right," not listening, contradicting what we were told, and then not informing us of the new option/change/transaction only turned this into a much greater mess. The acting manager would not once take any responsibility for the associates error, her error, or the fact that she wouldn't listen to what we came back willing to do to right their wrong. She just chose to return it all. The store manager listed on the business card that the acting manager pointed me towards and the owners will be receiving phone calls. Rude, condescending, "polite" comments of the acting manager made this situation even worse. The sales associate that made the error didn't apologize or acknowledge her error while we were there, either. However, one associate clearly felt our pain and empathized. read more

I'm conflicted about this place. I really love the Ballwin location but this one is just not that great. I fit in a size L clothes, sometimes XL, and there are rows and rows of XS, S, and M. To the point where there are 10+ racks of tiny sized clothes and then half a rack of L, XL, and two items that are labeled as plus. The ratio is crazy! Also, all the XS and S are at the front of the store and any other size, of their limited selection, is at the very back. The employees here jump you as soon as you open the door and push their sale on you (there were having a "dollar days" sale but I didn't see a single item that was on sale), even if you tell them you've been there before they keep going on and on, it's just a not very friendly atmosphere. Make the drive out to Ballwin instead, or just go to Ross next door. read more

This store is open just for selling currently. I went in last night, and the workers were so kind! They were upbeat and showed real interest in the people walking in. The store hasn't opened yet, but once it does I believe this will be a huge hit. The store is spacious and very clean. Most resale shops are cluttered, and it's hard to even shop. I just was hoping for more of a thrift shop, like cheap prices instead of just a few less dollars then it would be brand new. I went to platos closet and only found one outfit I liked. I was discouraged because I've been putting on some weight and didn't know what size I am and what to expect with my weight change. I was discouraged and ready to head home but my boyfriend found uptown cheapskate so we decided to try it out. I left with 3 rompers, a t shirt, shorts, and a skirt all for $50. they are all high quality and super cute. On this trip, I purchased a pair of brand new (tags still on) pair of jeans from The Gap for $9.99 and another almost brand new pair of black dress capri pants from Ann Taylor Loft for $11.99 along with several other items.
