I've been to too many places that have told me that ill fitting clothing looked great, when in fact it did not. When asked he has also pointed me to some excellent resources for me to learn more on the subject on how to dress like an adult. 2) The brands you will find at this store are not what you will find at your department store. That is because the brands here are a much better in fit, finish, and materials than what you will find elsewhere. 3) While the prices are a bit high, you are buying an item that is of much better quality material and finish. So dropping in usually ends in a sale off the sale rack for my husband and the other reason is that their original alterations employee hemmed clothes to make them look like they would after purchasing the clothes directly off the rack, which makes my very hard to fit husband look like a million bucks, business man become styling and profiling! And when your meeting that client for the first time, and as well all know, first impressions is what counts the most! Another thing that I love about this place, it's a small family owned business that's been around for over 100 years, so their motto is that the customer always comes first! I was told that the hours for having clothes reviewed were 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so I rushed to…read morearrive before closing and got there at approximately 2:50 p.m. When I arrived, the counter clerk indicated that they were closing early. There was no prior indication that the review hours had changed, and I explained that I had rushed to get there based on the hours I had been given. The clerk agreed to allow me to leave my items and briefly explained the process. When I asked her to repeat the explanation, I realized that leaving the clothes would automatically indicate that I accepted their offer. I was not comfortable with that, so I asked to wait instead, which I was allowed to do. My clothes were then piled together, and I was offered $56 for approximately $400 worth of clothing. I asked how many items they intended to keep and was told nine. I decided to decline the offer and thanked the clerk for her time. At that point, she picked up the clothes I had carefully folded and shoved them back into the bag. When I later counted the items, there were actually 13--not nine. The entire experience left me feeling that the process could have been handled much more professionally and transparently. Clear communication about the hours, a straightforward explanation of the process, accurate information about the number of items being accepted, and respectful handling of customers' belongings would have made a significant difference. I understand that a business is not obligated to make an offer that a customer considers satisfactory, but I do expect honesty, transparency, and professionalism throughout the process.

They carry a wide variety of popular streetwear brands like Stussy, Vans, and Carharrt. One nice addition to the store is their matcha bar. I took advantage of this and ordered the strawberry matcha latte which was really good! The staff is always cool and never pushy with sales. Since the MacArthur Center is closing this month, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what…read morethis place has meant over the years. It wasn't just a mall, it was a backdrop for so many memories. I still remember when it had Rainforest Café and Johnny Rockets, those were absolute staples of any visit. There was even a Sanrio store at one point, that had planko, which felt like a little slice of joy every time I walked in. It really was the mall of my time growing up. Some of my favorite memories include visiting Santa during the holidays, catching movies with friends and family, and just spending afternoons wandering around when going to the mall was a real treat, not just an errand. Not to mention using the photobooth before "selfies" were a thing. They even had a bounce house and play area which was so much fun as a child. It's definitely bittersweet seeing it close. While it's not quite what it once was, it still holds so many good memories for so many people. A solid four stars for everything it was at its peak and for the nostalgia it leaves behind. An end of an era, but one worth remembering.

They were happily riding the escalator, and I was taking a simple video of them on my phone. To my surprise, a security guard stopped me and told me that videotaping was not permitted. At first I didn't even realize she was speaking to me because she was mumbling from a distance. When I continued recording my children, she approached again and more firmly told me that no videotaping was allowed. What made the experience so frustrating is that the mall is literally days away from closing. The building was largely empty, my children were simply riding the escalator, and I was recording family memories--not conducting a commercial photo shoot or disrupting anyone. Meanwhile, there have been photographers and members of the media documenting the mall's final days. The whole interaction felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Instead of leaving with fond memories of one last visit to MacArthur Center, I left feeling scolded for recording my own children in an almost-empty mall that will no longer exist in a matter of days. Consumer habits may have changed over the years, but experiences like this certainly don't encourage people to return. It was a disappointing way to end what should have been a nostalgic final visit.
