BEFORE INTERVIEW: I want to start out with the fact that I have always been a huge supporter of the styles at Torrid because I use liked hot topic but it was missing some girlishness in the early 00s. Pros: Great clothing choices. Great sizing. Clean, organized store. Fitting rooms spacious. Clearance reasonably priced. Cons: Way too expensive for every day life. Want a shirt for regular price? $30 - $40 Need a dress that's not on clearance? $50 - $80 There is a Forever 21 right down the street with $15 - $30 plus size clothing. Don't get a lot of positive attention from associates. A hi when you walk in the door, and after that it's either no attention or they try to push EVERYTHING on you. AFTER INTERVIEW: It is really unfortunate that the interview I had didn't just change my mind about the associates, but also the company as a whole. Shows that employees can make a difference in whether you want to shop at a store at all anymore. Before interview, I would spend around $50 - $100 a month on clothes here (that's a lot for my budget). After the interview, I've been back once in three months and didn't buy anything because of price. During my interview, I was looked down on and both interviewers seemed annoyed and didn't take anything that I said seriously. One woman was wearing literally all black (black sweater that was plain, black jeans, black tennis shoes) and the other was wear a strapless dress with the straps and whole back of her bra showing with flip flops. Normally, I wouldn't think twice about this, except for the fact that they then asked me at least 10 questions about matching and fashion statements. How can you be rude and look down on an interviewee when you aren't even dressed the way you say "your associates" should dress. (Fashionably.) I have never been treated worse by employees at a retail shop. So just avoid the Zona Rosa location!

They have a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment spots. Saw an ice rink as well. There are both street and garage parkings available. It was busy when we visited around a Saturday afternoon. They had several big stores such as Dillard's, DSW. Barnes & Noble, Dicks, and Old Navy. There are many other branded and local small stores too such as Roots KC, Torrid, VS, AE, Sephora and more. Among dining spots I was surprised to see a Mochinut store. There were also Buffalo Wild Wings, Cold Store, Ihop, Outback, Red Robin, Subway, Smokehouse BBQ, among the well known brands. We spent some good family time here shopping and dining. All the places we stopped by had friendly service. Priced varied depending on store types. The area seemed safe and clean. Overall a really good place to visit outside of KC downtown area.
