I wanted to switch bras. I had bought one online, with a slew of coupons, sales, and discounts, it ended up with me paying next to nothing for the items I bought. Not surprising the combination I used since over the course of a year I bought over three thousand dollars worth of merchandise and had racked up quite a few rewards. So I went to exchange a bra for a different size. They pulled up my receipt and told me that since I didn't have a packing slip,I had thrown the wrong one away, they would only give me the credit amount of what I paid for the bra. Never mind that it was a new bra, in a size the stores don't carry -44B- and it still had all the tags on it. I just wanted a difference size. But they fought with me over it and made me really reconsider shopping as much as I do with this brand. In fact by comparison To last year I've maybe spent 500$ vs the few thousand and I have no desire to strike it up again with Torrid solely based on what I experienced with that store. I understand policies. I understand if it was clearance. But it wasn't. Not in their computer. Not when I bought it. I just wanted it exchanged for a different size! Ironically when they finally did process it after threatening to go through customer service one of the girls working out it aside to buy later specifically because that size and style were online exclusives. It was ironic and a bit insulting.

The old store manager was sweet as well, just didn't have the best staff! I was so excited when this location opened, but was quickly disappointed in how poor the customer service was. I dealt with it for a few months, but after November I was done with this location. I turned to online or Grapevine. I could not get over how rude the staff was at this location. My favorite employee there... Can't believe I forgot her name. (Short colorful hair with piercings) she's awesome. There was another one, but she's no longer there. They were the only reason I returned as long as I did. I vowed to never return to this location but my friend was visiting and had never been to Torrid. I recently had a major surgery and wasn't up to riding all the way up Grapevine, but just had to take her to Torrid. I decided to put my issues aside and take her here. Boy was I surprised! From the minute we walked in until The minute we left, we had the BEST Experience. Rachel was there every step of the way and made sure we had everything we needed. My friend was very pleased and I'm glad her first experience wasn't tainted with the rude customer service I received in the past. Can't wait till my next visit:)

I came by yesterday after over a year (I prefer Torrid) , but after being in the store without any…read moreassistance or a simple hello, I decided to leave. However, I really needed bras and decided to give them a second chance today. When I walked in, again no greeting! I made eye contact with one of the employees (different employee than yesterday) several times, but still nothing. I decided to look around as they were having a spectacular sale and I couldn't let an unwelcome attitude stop me from getting what I needed. While browsing, I came across another employee (manager ) and still no greeting. I was still determined to get what I came in for. After a while, I felt like I could spend my money elsewhere (where I feel welcomed) and was headed out the door when the manager approached me and asked if I needed help? This may sound like I'm being a diva, but this basic customer service. Greet your customers and make them feel welcome! After expressing my experience and frustrations to the manager, she went out of her way to make today's experience a pleasant one. I truly appreciate it and was able to find some great items at a wonderful price. I even got shoes for $8. I'm glad my experience was turned around and I plan to return again soon.
