I hate giving bad reviews but this place needs a health inspection from the state. It was so unhygienic. I should've just walked out when I got there but I didn't. The technician had me put my hands in a dirty bowl with cold water and soap. The bowl was disgusting. They also don't sanitize their tools. She used a nail clipper, cuticle clipper and nail file that had been laying around. She didn't even sanitize it before she used it on me. The nail file was clearly out of grip and instead of getting a new one she proceeded to tell me I had weak nails. When she was removing the gel polish she was using a grit tip that was for fake nails. I kept telling her it hurt and that these are my real nails. She proceed to say that there was too much gel nail polish and that's why. I've been getting my nails done for years. I've also been going to another nail studio and NEVER had these problems. I've worked so hard to keep my nails strong and after this visit they are so damaged. The young girls behind the desk are so rude. They think you can't understand them in Spanish but I could. Oh the website it says that gel manicure as $25 but I was charged $30. I was so over it at this point that I couldn't wait to leave. This is a reminder to NEVER cheat on the place you're going too just for something a little cheaper. I'll gladly pay the extra price for cleanliness and a NON painful experience. read more

Worse worse worse nail salon! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! This woman, I think her name is Bianca, did my gel pedicure spa. She poked my toe nails so many times, and almost cut my flesh with a nail clipper! I was trying to stay calm and told her to stop - until she kept doing it again. The nail polish is all messy on my toe nails, paint scattered on my skin, and overall service is extremely sloppy. Every single toe nail's shape and color is uneven. I chose the deluxe, and the massage was horrible - minimal to no pressure, it just felt nothing. It supposed to be relaxing, but the whole time, I was under stress because she kept messing up. Owner should do some quality check before assigning a staff member to a customer. I was here back in November and had this same person that did my manicure. She cut me and I bled, but I did not make any comment because it could have been an accident. But this is the second time with the same person that did same mistake repeatedly - therefore, it is not a mistake, she should not work in a nail salon at all. Waste of time and money!!! Can be very hit or miss depending on who does your service. I have been there a few times for acrylic tips and gel mani, a pedicure also. I am the kind of person who NEVER leaves a review unless it's warranted. I got a gel mani for vacation, after 2 days they started chipping, I know their website says if there is an issue less then a week after they will fix it. Well I couldn't get back within that week. This was my first time here. The technician cut too much of my cuticles on a finger that ended up bleeding. The same occurred with one my toes except it did not bleed. The nail drill weakened my natural nails and it became super soft even with the completion of the gel manicure. The ombre polish was okay. The owner charges extra if you don't pay cash. I also see that the owner is quite defensive with his replies to some customers that leave a not so good review on Google. A few weeks later, I got a text from the establishment stating if I left a good review on Google, I would get a percentage off on my next visit. Not one sticker it's all her drawing even the letters. 1 hour and 15 mins in total with the entire design and I'm in love with them. Let alone the exceptional art, the hospitality it's great. First of all I really wanted to like this place. Nice decor and they offer snacks however their service is inconsistent and they're disorganized. I was charged miscellaneous charges at the end that I wasn't aware of. When I asked the girl who was ringing me up why I was being charged hidden fees she said because that's what they charge. I wanted something fun and clean for my birthday, but just in general it felt really sloppy. Not really impressed by application, nail tech cut my finger and the polish is pretty thick and gloopy. I have been a loyal client for 2 years. I have befriended my manicurists and I have tipped them well. Often overtipping. In fact, when the pandemic hit, I gave my manicurist a very large tip knowing that she would be out of work for sometime. I have never missed an appointment without cancelling. I have never been late for an appointment yet I've had to wait numerous times due to overbooking on their part. On 10/8/21 I had to cancel 2 mani/pedis for 10/9/21 because my 9 months pregnant daughter contracted covid. Her baby shower was scheduled for 10/10/21. Today, I called to reschedule that appointment and was told that I would have to "leave a $20 deposit" due to "2 or more no-shows". I was stunned! I asked "when have I ever no-showed?" She ran through 3 dates over the last year stating that I had cancelled all of them. She said "I guess it was a mistake but there's nothing I can do about it, it's a new system." This woman broke all of them to the point of no return. I had to tell her 3 times almond shaped and she kept squaring them off. She cut me, let me bleed on the towel, and didn't stop to clean until I asked if she was going to stop. She also painted over the blood, so heads up, their nail polishes are probably NOT sanitized and cleaned. Avoid this place. Very disappointed...I usually went to Gigi only to find out that she no longer is employed there. Instead, I was serviced by a new employee who did not understand my design request, or knew how to properly place the gem onto my gel. It fell off within TWO DAYS. I used to enjoy the ambience, however the salon was completely silent and it felt like there was an air of hostility between the client, and the technicians. You will never pay the price listed on the board. A $25 gel manicure is only for solid color gels. If you add even the slightest HINT of what seems to be a design in their eyes, it turns out to be expensive. The menu lists, complimentary drinks, and snacks, yet I saw no clients with any. Their regular nail polish for pedicures is crap, I got a pedicure with regular nail polish (not UV gel) and it did not dry 2 hours later while I was getting a gel manicure. The toe nail polish was still tacky and smearing. I had to get a few nails on my toes repaired only to realize the polish was still tacky and not dry. The girl that repaired my nails up-saled me with UV gel pedicure nail polish for $15 more, after I already paid $30 for regular nail polish pedicure. The owner had the audacity to say the regular nail polish takes hours to dry, not true! I refused to pay an additional $15 as $30 should have done the job. I'm definitely not going back there again! Went here for the first time for a fill in and was very happy with my experience. I broke a nail a week later so I went back to have it repaired. I came in on a Monday around 1PM and was helped pretty much immediately. The lady who did my nail was on her phone the whole time and made my nail lumpy and nowhere near as good as my other nails from my previous experience. I'm a hairdresser so my nails are constantly exposed to water, products, my shears nearly every day so my nails typically start popping off two weeks after I get them done but I went in mid December, and today nearly a month later my nails are still all on, none loose and none lifting in the slightest. I had an appointment for 12:15, by 12:30 I was seated and we discussed what I'd wanted. I was taken by Vincent, who had actually come in on his day off since they were so busy. I really really wanted to give this place a good review. I had sooo much hope for it. The inside is gorgeous, the little decor details are amazing. They were also awesome with rearranging things since I ended up being about half an hour late (I had called ahead to tell them but they were really cool about it). The issues started when I sat down for my regular pedicure with like the sweetest person I've ever met and this other lady came to soak off the sns that was already on my hands. She just seemed so annoyed but I chalked it up to her probably being tired and having it been a long day or whatever. I picked a light pink color for sns that I had wanted and I had asked a billion times if it'd be the same color as the one on my toes and she'd say yes but when she put it on, it was like the same color as my nails almost, and I felt bad asking her to take it off since she had just started with my second nail so I did say something and she got annoyed and she was like "what, you want me to take it all off after I already did it?" And it made me feel like crap so I was like "I guess not...." So she tried to compromise and put like 5-6 layers of dip which ended up leaving my nails bulky as all hell. She had trimmed my cuticles but then also left a huge gap so it looks like it's been like two weeks. Also none of the nails were the same length after she had filed them. The pedicure ended up having way too many coats of paint and was still smudging and sticking to my socks 3 days later. 4 days after the sns, the nails popped off one by one. I've gotten SNS from numerous salons over the past 7 years and has always lasted me close to a month. It has now been a week and I'm missing 6 nails. I feel so bad leaving this review, because I really wanted to like this place....but please save your money and go somewhere else read more

I saw an ad for this local place pop up on my Instagram, so I checked it out online and it looked fabulous... Hygienic with pipeless pedicures and a really cool spa-like ambiance. I made an appointment for a regular mani-pedi and went in yesterday. I waited a little bit but was happy to see snacks and grabbed a cookie then was seated at a pedicure spot. I didn't get the name of the woman who did my pedicure but I asked her to cut my nails and she said she didn't speak English, I asked if she spoke Spanish and she did, luckily I can as well. You would think you'd know the word for "cut" working in a salon, though. The pedicure was nice, but if you wanted what's standard at other local salons for the same price like the scrub or hot stone massage or paraffin heel wrap, it's extra. Not a deal breaker but disappointing as they tout the "spa experience." Next on to the manicure. The same technician made my cuticles bleed on 3 fingers! I can't tell you the last time that happened to me! She also forgot to ask me to pay before she started polishing my nails. When I remembered I asked her to pay (which she said "no English" so I re-asked in Spanish) so luckily it didn't mess up my mani. I'm rage-typing this review. I found out about this new salon because the owner came to the store where I work in the Rockaway Mall with 20% off coupons for mall employees. My coupon doesn't list an expiration date, and I don't remember her telling me that the coupon expires. Happily, I made my first appointment for a gel manicure and was excited to try a new salon that sounded, according to the owner's description, very beautiful and clean! I booked my appointment for 2pm and arrived exactly on time. When I walked into the salon, I was wowed! The salon space is gorgeous and totally exceeded my expectations! I've never been to such a beautiful nail salon anywhere else in New Jersey - the decor is meticulous, colorful, and high end. Guests are treated to complimentary candy and non-alcoholic beverages. WOW. Unfortunately, my experience all went downhill from there. First of all, the owner told me that I couldn't use my 20% off coupon because it expired on the 8th (uh...no). Second of all, I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated for a pedicure, which I decided to add on to my original gel manicure appointment. Anyway, no one was ready to give me my gel manicure, even though I arrived on time for my appointment. I was really impressed by the pedicure station because they don't use the jet tubs; rather, they use stainless steel bowls, which are more hygienic and easier to wash. I was seated at 2:30, and by 3:10 the owner was STILL working on my cuticles for a basic pedicure. I told her I didn't feel like spending my entire afternoon at the nail salon and asked if she could at least start soaking the gel polish off my hands to save time. She thought that was SUCH A GOOD IDEA as if it had never occurred to her to save me time. In the meantime, another customer without an appointment who had been waiting since 2pm for an eyebrow wax walked out because she had been sitting in the waiting area for an hour. Instead of feeling relaxed, I felt so antsy to be wasting so much time at the nail salon. I have never in my life spent so much time waiting for a nail tech to finish my pedicure. I demanded she stop working on my nails, and I didn't even get polish. I walked out at 3:30pm without anything except some filing and cuticle work done on my toes. Thankfully, she didn't charge me anything. Upon closer inspection, she didn't even prep my toenails that well. They look like crap, and I could've done a better job myself in less than half the time.
