We had Hot Shots to cater an engagement party for our Son and future daughter in law, it was GREAT! They stayed on top of the food coming out, table setup for the food, that allowed for us to enjoy the party. Kids attending were able to do Ax Throwing and play Miniature Golf. Well we've lived close by for a year now and finally thought we'd stop in and give it a try! I regret it. We both got hamburgers and they were super underwhelming. The burger was clearly out of a bag of frozen burgers. My husband insists they're Bubba Burgers. I got a blue cheese burger and it was overwhelmingly covered in blue cheese dressing. The fries were actually good but other than that I would recommend going elsewhere. I've heard better things from others so that's why they got 2 stars. read more

Came here for breakfast! Barely made it in time. But we basically tried every on the menu and so glad we did. Sausage gravy with biscuits. Yum! French toast, good. Pancakes, good and fluffy! My husbands favorite was the breakfast sandwich on kaiser roll with a fried egg. Service was good. The atmosphere may make you think twice about coming in, but the food is definitely worth it! read more

The staff here went above and beyond! After a round of putt putt on an extremely hot day, my son slipped and scraped his knee on the rocks. The staff were incredibly accommodating. Not only did they get him band aids and make sure he was ok, they got everyone in our group ice waters and cookies for all the kids. The course is fun and set up with cooling stations throughout to spray you down with a light mist. Perfect for a hot day like today. read more

Hey for a good burger, sandwich or a quick breakfast these guys hit the ball out of the park. The staff is friendly, its always comfortable and is a MUCH better option than the fast food joints that litter the Lake. I've had the biscuits and gravy, the meatloaf and countless other items. They are always good and I have never left disappointed. Some of the desserts and cookies are scratch made too! read more

ENTERTAINMENT !!!!! The nicest, putt putt course, lots of colored water fountains, new facility, clean, beautiful gardens. My parents and I enjoyed playing 18 holes Saturday night at about 9 pm we were the only ones playing! We had a good score and the course was both easy and challenging. The staff and other patrons were kind, helpful, and mature. They had good music on the course too!! Inside is a bar if you get thirsty or hungry. 2'nd time there and will always go back. read more

Food is ok as pub food goes - prices are ok but seem a little high for what you get. I have been a few times, and I have found the service to vary greatly from nicely helpful to indifferent and uncaring. It has a split personality - I don't understand who they are trying to appeal to - it has a bar popular with bikers attached to a kids mini-golf. I have concluded it doesn't appeal to me as a good atmosphere to bring my family and don't plan to go back anymore. We'll play mini-golf at bridgewater plaza. read more

We have played a lot of putt putt and this course is great. It is not huge like you find in Myrtle Beach, but it looks brand new. It is more challenging than a traditional Putt Putt brand course. They take excellent care of it. They have misters throughout the course for hot days (it was over 90 when we went) which really helped. They also have small nets to retrieve water balls which I thought was genius. We did not eat there, but the staff we interacted with was friendly and said they hoped to see us again next year. read more

I called ahead to confirm they were kid friendly and drive 30 minutes arriving at 7PM with my toddler grandson and learned that they wouldn't allow us to eat outside unless we paid $5 each cover for the band that started at 8PM. We clarified that we'd leave because we didn't want to keep our grandson there once the music started but they insisted on a $5 cover each...including our toddler grandson! I left and spent my money just down the road and had a great dinner at Moosie's. It's not the money it's the point. read more

If you come to Smith Mountain Lake, you have to stop by Hot Shots. Their putt-putt golf is the best course out there and their burgers are second to none. And they also carry ice cream from the Homestead Creamery! Then add that this is a family run business, and by that I mean a family that really cares and gives you outstanding service with a smile. read more
