One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. Your Birks, like ALL shoes, have a life expectancy. Don't blame Hakky for not being able to bring your sandals back from the dead. If you're asking to have the sole replaced, you're likely better off buying a new pair. If your cork is damaged, it's DEFINITELY time to buy a new pair. Yes, the father is better than the son, but the skill of the father has been learned over DECADES of experience. If you're giving them poor reviews because of this, then you're the reason shoe repair is going the way of the dodo and should be ashamed!
