I ordered a part on Friday, October 23, 2026, and was assured it would arrive the following day, Saturday, October 24. After receiving no communication or update, I called the store myself shortly after 2:00 PM on Saturday, only to be told that the part would not arrive until Tuesday, October 27. What makes this particularly frustrating is that no one bothered to call and notify me of the delay. Had I not contacted the store, I would have been left waiting without any explanation. Given that the part was suddenly not expected until Tuesday, I seriously question whether the order was even placed on Friday as promised. While I cannot confirm that it was forgotten, the circumstances certainly raise that concern. Delays happen, and I understand that. However, a complete lack of communication, accountability, and respect for a customer's time is unacceptable. When a business commits to a delivery date, customers should be able to rely on that commitment--or, at the very least, expect a courtesy call when something changes. Monument Auto Parts needs to do a much better job of communicating with its customers and honoring its commitments. This experience was unprofessional, inconvenient, and entirely avoidable.

After running all our errands this morning we parked our car in-front of my parents house all ready…read moreto go to the reunion. We started the car and all was well, then we forgot something in the house and turned the engine off and when we went to restart it the engine wouldn't start. Oh no!!!! Well we didn't want to be late so we took a different car. Thankfully we had 3 cars to choose from. Later that afternoon we went back home to tackle the car that wouldn't start. We packed all of our belongings for our trip home and went to start our car and it still wouldn't start. Thankfully we had a solo battery charger in our trunk so we whipped it out and jump started our battery and the engine roared to life. We next googled the closes O'Reilly and found this one on Monument Blvd just a few miles away. We zipped on over and parked right in front next to the other car with their hood up. We went inside and explained the situation to the sales person. He looked up and had our battery in stock. Next we went out to test our battery and yep it was a dead one. Our battery was purchased from O'Reilly back in Nov 2023 and the warrantee had just expired. Too bad. We went back inside and bought a new battery. There were several to choose from. We choose the gel one with a 4 year warrantee. He said if we loose the receipt not to worry as our purchase is on file. We all returned to the car and he installed the batter. For an extra $2 we bought some goop to put on the battery so the connections won't corrode. As it turns out the gentleman helping us has a daughter with the same make and model as us with the same amount of miles. What a coincidence. While we were having out batter installed 3 other people pulled up and were also having their batteries tested. They have a great business going on a Sunday afternoon. With the battery installed we were all set to hit the road again. Crossing our fingers that this one isn't a dud. We bought a battery for our other car last week and it was a dud. After a day the car wouldn't start again and it turns out the battery was a dud. It caused us so much undue stress. So beware lots of these batteries are not exactly new, but recharged and sold as new batteries. If there is a lot of stickers on the top of the battery you don't want it. For us this was a good experience. It's so nice that they will install the batteries for free and take the old one back to dispose of.

I called AutoZone on Clayton Road and spoke with Jim (store manager) to ask if they install batteries and could test the system to rule out the alternator. He said yes to both. When I arrived, there was a line; I asked for Jim and he helped me choose the right battery for my car and budget. I also picked up new windshield wipers and washer fluid. Jim came outside and, no exaggeration, had the new battery installed in about 10 minutes, popped on the new wipers, and ran a charging-system test. The test result showed alternator was fine; it was just the battery. What I loved: * Clear, honest guidance from Jim (no upsell, just what I needed). * Quick install and system test right there in the lot. * No installation fee for the battery (huge plus compared to other places.) * Convenient location with solid inventory. AAA was helpful for the initial jump/diagnosis, but AutoZone saved the day and my wallet. Big thanks to Jim and the team for turning a stressful morning into an easy fix.
