Good food and service! Good vibe but could use a bit more speed and a carpet cleaning but it was still fantastic.

This place has great breakfast and a yummy club sandwich. They're busy so you may have to wait but it's worth it.

"Grab the Reins and Head to Rodeo: This Place is a Triple Crown Winner!"…read more I was in town on business, and this was a surprise! If you're looking for a spot that feels like a warm hug from the Wild West, Rodeo Steak House is it. Here are three reasons why this place is officially my new favorite watering hole: * The Atmosphere: The decor is spot-on--think rustic wood, rich leather, and just enough horse-themed accents to make it feel authentic without being cheesy. It's got a great vibe that's matched perfectly by the staff. Our servers were "good ol' gals" who were perky, fun, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. * The Food (Better than the Pictures!): Usually, menu photos look better than the plate, but here, it's the opposite! The food looked incredible and tasted even better. Pro tip: Get the Chicken Fried Steak. It's the real deal. * Legendary Hospitality: The service blew me away. I ordered a fresh-pressed orange juice, and my waitress told me she actually pressed it herself! That level of effort and genuine country hospitality is rare. You can really tell they care about the "home-cooked" feel.

But I was quickly greeted and brought to a booth, which I appreciated. I am not a fan of sitting at the bar. Not sure they have one here. I ordered a large Black Butte Porter, 9 ounce filet rice pilaf and a salad with balsamic vinaigrette. A roll with butter arrived shortly after my beer. Salad next was fresh and very complex, with a generous topping of diced bacon. The steak arrived - the moment of truth... and was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, tender and delicious. This dinner was so good, I ordered dessert to go: chocolate cake and ice cream. That cake - Wow! Thin layers of cake with frosting in between, a delightful end to a glorious meal.

I just now am trying the breakfast here at the Jersey Lilly. As I have stated before the food here…read moreis very well prepared and I will add the portions are generous. As usual the service here is outstanding. The severs are warm inviting and are attentive. The environment is as always very comfortable and relaxing. Now for the breakfast review: Today I being it's my first breakfast here I tried the biscuits and gravy with a sausage patty. The drink I chose for this morning's breakfast was a Spanish coffee. Typically when I try an establishments breakfast for the first time it's always biscuits and gravy. By far my favorite breakfast ever. If they prepare this dish well that tells me it's okay to be more adventurous. Well the Lilly nailed it today. The biscuits and gravy is everything that it should be. Authentic and not artsy fartcy. Just good old school down home biscuits and gravy and that is what I received today. The dish was flavorful and the biscuits are spot on. The sausage patty was of very good quality and very flavorful as well. The Spanish Coffee was very nice prepared and the presentation was excellent. Once again the Jersey Lilly has knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend that you try this establishment.

I have gotten the burger steak, almost every single time It was hot, thick & meaty with fried mushrooms & onions on it. The salad was big and so good. Tonight the burger steak had a film like it had been waiting. The salad was smaller and not real fresh. Baked potato seemed leftover. The fries, though, were right out of the fryer and really good. Service is still really good. She was back after nine years, is smiling and makes you feel welcome. I hope this was a bad night because this is one of the best places in Roseburg for a meal or a drink.

Here's a polished version that keeps your voice but adds a little sparkle:…read more Papa Morgan's is exactly the kind of place we love stumbling across -- a cozy little hole-in-the-wall that just feels right the moment you walk in. We were seated immediately, and our coffee and waters showed up almost instantly (always a great sign ). The place is a bit dated, but in a charming, homey way. I actually loved it -- cute decor and even a small jewelry area to browse while you wait... although "wait" might not even be the right word because the food comes out fast! My husband went with the chicken fried steak, and I ordered French toast from the light menu. We usually split a meal, but today we leaned into both sweet and savory -- and I'm glad we did. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. Service was quick, friendly, and on point. Our coffee cups never hit empty, which honestly deserves its own gold star. Would I return? Absolutely. This is one of those spots that feels like a local favorite for a reason -- and now it's one of ours too.

We had a variety of sandwiches (club and blt), tots, salads and iced teas (yes, we forgot pics this time. We were starving!). Prices are reasonable and you'll definitely have leftovers.

Yum. I stopped for the night at a wonderful riverside hotel and asked for a nice place for dinner…read more They had a few recommendations but the Parrott House stood out. It is a Victorian Mansion. (With several ghosts) set on a hill. The food was delicious, the ambiance was delightful, and service was attentive but not "in your face". The whole evening was special.

It has been a year since I've been to the Parrot House and wanting to try their reinstated buffet…read more I like a buffet where you can try different foods. I really wanted to like this place because it's the one fairly fancy place in town...but, it was a disappointing experience. We got to the restaurant for our 10am reservation but the door didn't open until exactly 10. People huddled under the porch because it was raining fairly hard. We were shown inside, then back outside to another room to our table. We ordered and they said the buffet was in the tent-outside. So, coat & rain hood back on to go to the buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet wasn't ready so we went back to our seats. The buffet wasn't ready for around 20 minutes-because some of the kitchen crew called in sick so they were operating with less help. The remaining crew was working hard to get it set up. So they were doing a good job-they just needed more help. The buffet had: Eggs, Potatoes, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy, Jalapeño Cheddar Bagels, Smoked Salmon, Salad, Dressing, Potato Dill Soup, an Omelet bar and Prime Rib. Unfortunately, most of the food we got wasn't warm. I think the top of the chafing dishes were able to cool off, even though, the bottom was hot. Didn't know that until going back in. Thats a dangerous situation where bacteria can grow. The bread was excellent. It was a chewy Italian bread. The butter balls were firm so hard to spread. There were bagels and smoked salmon but it would have been nice to have something other than just jalapeño cheddar bagels for the smoked salmon. Maybe, get something more neutral in flavor that more people would eat. I think I have fairly normal tastes and love biscuits & gravy but the biscuits and gravy had an odd flavor to me. I wasn't a fan but that may be a preference. The prime rib was ok but not terribly tasty. The Potato dill soup was just ok, too. The omelet bar probably was the safe choice since you pick your ingredients but I make those often at home so I wanted to try other things. I think they are trying to be fancy instead of just making good food that everybody would like. Service was good. We did have to wait for coffee but overall they were nice and did a good job letting people know when the buffet was ready. Overall: Ambiance is 5/5; Service 4/5, Food-the temperature, late food and having to walk in the rain to the tent and back with a plate of food while getting rained on drops the overall score to 3/5. Opening that heavy door with a plate of food is a problem, too. Maybe have the tent right outside the entrance to the main dining room so your customers and their full plates don't have to be out in the rain. There has to be a better way.
