We were seated immediately, and our coffee and waters showed up almost instantly (always a great sign ). The place is a bit dated, but in a charming, homey way. My husband went with the chicken fried steak, and I ordered French toast from the light menu. We usually split a meal, but today we leaned into both sweet and savory -- and I'm glad we did. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. Service was quick, friendly, and on point. Our coffee cups never hit empty, which honestly deserves its own gold star. Would I return? Absolutely. This is one of those spots that feels like a local favorite for a reason -- and now it's one of ours too.

Waiting 10+ minutes at the window or counter and being actively ignored the whole time is ridiculous, but then to be greeted with attitude when you are acknowledged makes it even worse. Don't think I'll be back for awhile, the food is good but it's not worth the lack of customer service or attitude.

The staff has been uniformly great and they will give you your drinks as soon as you order, but at a certain point, I was looking to have a snack before my meal arrived. It is all outdoor seating with a tables and benches under an awning on the porch with additional tables getting full sun or shaded by a tree. In addition to traditional grill fare, I enjoyed the deep fried mushrooms as a side this time around and would absolutely do it again. Portions are nice and prices are reasonable. Just don't plan on a quick roadside stop.

Now the bar.. it reminds me of the bars I grew up in back in Buffalo, it's just a small town watering hole and it might not be much to look at on the outside.. but it's on the inside where the magic happens. There's Oregon lottery machines, pool tables, dart boards and shuffleboard. The drinks are cheap and cold, the hospitality is heart warming and the food is delicious. Sean, the owner, greeted us and showed us where we could park. We had a couple of ice cold beers and a couple of great sandwiches, patty melt (pictured) and s grilled cheese. Thank you Sean for your hospitality and we hope to see you again.
