First time here to hot pot kitchen and did not disappoint. What I love the most was the broth, ofc besides the amount of meat that came out, generous portion. But the broth though, despite whichever you choose, when she added more broth into our base, they were still as flavorful as how it was originally. I chose the spicy beef oil which I found out I didn't need to end up using any extra sauces like usual. My friends got tom yum and mushroom which were also flavorful. Service was attentive , not too crowded as we did come dine on a Wed night. Will definitely be back here again and perhaps also trying their bbq next time!

Cajun seafood all you can eat menu

We went for the new Cajun seafood. This is possibly the worst meal I've had so far in 2025. The Cajun seafood is all you can eat. However, the seafood being served is not good. The only decent part of the meal was the corn and the potatoes. They need a lot of work. We had the mild as well as the regular spicy sauce. Neither had any spice. Overly sweet. The seafood had a fishy smell rather than a fresh seafood smell. The blue crabs were not blue crabs. And they were also black as you can tell from my photo. The snow crab legs were okay however they did not have any crackers in order to open the crab legs. I would avoid all the appetizers. Then again, I would avoid having the Cajun seafood here. We should have noticed it was going to be downhill when everybody else was having hot pot.

Was craving hot pot after apple picking with the fam and found this place on google (just seeing what's the closest restaurant). Upon arrival, it was extremely quiet in there with a few tables being occupied. The staff were very friendly but more on the chill side. Keep in mind that this is a AYCE place and you order everything on their tablet. There were a few times we ordered things and it just never came. The burner itself takes a pretty long time to boil even at the highest temperature and nothing in it yet. Soup flavors were good though! Another thing was some ingredients weren't that fresh so we ended up not eating it.

    Skewers!

Honestly probably my current favorite hotopt place within moco & hoco. Probably some of the most flavorful /seasoned broths around (however the downside is that it does get a little salty once the broth concentrates) but so good to drink even before dipping all your hotpot items. Def have some nice Chinese items such as various organ meats (kidney, intestine, kidney) as well as shrimp paste. Fresh ingredients and they come in great small portions sizes of you have a smaller group. This is probably most comparable to Hulu skewers who does have decent hotpot. But the broth here is probably better. Hulu has better skewers& more skewers options. Kanpai is also good, but I think it's better if you want variety/options. I think hotpot kitchen will be my go to i want hotpot specifically (and I always love some skewers as well). Would go to Hulu skewers if I want to do focus more on the skewers aspect with hotpot as a bonus. Oh and FYI - as typical of very old school Chinese restaurants, they give you a small discount if you pay cash instead of card!

For perspective, there are 6 snow crab clusters for 6 people. $45 for half that bag.

Scam alert!!! I never post, and yet a day later I still feel compelled to. We got to this literally, completely, empty restaurant at 12:30 on a Sunday for their AYCE Cajun seafood, and was given water while we waited until our last 2/6 party members got there. This is when our 90 minute time limit must have started. 12:45: The earliest time point when we actually ordered food. 13:15: The first bag of our seafood boil came out. 14:14: We were told we could not order anymore, and that the restaurant has been more than generous since we have been there for an hour and 44 minutes. Regardless of party size, you can order 3 appetizers and 3 seafood items at a time to be shared by the entire table. We were allowed to put in another order as soon as the first bag came, but we were still waiting during when the bag is finished and the next bag comes. In total, we only got through 3 shared bags for the table during this duration. 6 snow crab clusters for 6 people per round for perspective. Corn and potatoes only in the first bag. No blue crabs, crawfish was black and bad. Seasoning is light, ask for more seasoning on the side. AYCE?? What a joke. All they'll ration you out to eat while stretching out wait time between. You average out 30 minutes a bag if we say we were there for 90 minutes, or even worse since they were generous with time 34.67 minutes per bag since we were there for 1h44min. Calculate it out. I paid $45 excluding tax and tip for half that bag in the pic. EVEN IF the food was amazing, which it was missing, dead, and mediocre at best, it's simply just not worth it at all. My recommendation? Don't bother and don't ever come here.

My favorite hot pot in MoCo, fast service, fresh produce, and everything is done to a high quality. But what really steals the show is the crispy pork and onion pancake, I could just do those and some meat for the soup. The BBQ skewers are very good also. Friendly staff and the place is never packed for lunch. The place is always clean and quiet creating a nice dining experience.

Hmmm...really need to improve service. I was waiting for 20 minutes and keep waving my hand to try to get the server to add some soup base. Food has some variety, but really needs to improve taste, some of them are clearly not fresh. Also need to add more flavor to soup base. The spoon is very hard to use.

Pro: moderate size parking lot, friendly staff, clean interior, price. Con: one hotpot, limited sauce bar, fee, ordering on phone. I was sad that I never got to try the old hotpot restaurant that closed down here but when I found out this new hotpot restaurant was opening so knew I had to try it atleast once. Parking lot size is on the moderate size but you could parking at the giant next door if needed. The interior is very modern with good music playing in the background. The broth here comes in one big pot that can be divide up to 9 section. The staff were very friendly and checking in frequently. The meat quality here is not that amazing and the sauce bar is very limited. I didn't like that you order food through your phone compare to a tablet at other hotpot. All in all, it was a slightly above average experience here and I would recommend people come in and try atleast once.

Cozy new restaurant tucked away in a hidden strip mall on Hungerford Road (across from the N. Washington post office and around the side of Popeye's Chicken). I never knew there were so many great little shops in this small plaza...it's not at all visible from the main road). The setup is different from the other hot pots I've been to: firstly, the menu is on a QR code and you order everything from your phone. We weren't sure how they were going to separate each person's order (or if you wanted to try more than one kind of broth) but then they brought out a large pan with dividers (I would've never guessed). There is an area where you can get your own sauces and many of the general dishes are the same but there were some cool additions which I've not seen at other hot pots: fried rice, sticky rice, scallion pancakes, and water cress, for example. Lunch and dinner include almost everything--if something costs extra it will say so on the menu. I loved the broth (I had the original) as well as all the food brought out. The coconut sago has taro in and was super yummy...cold, sweet, and refreshing. Our sever was very helpful, attentive and friendly. I was extremely full (and happy) and we will definitely be back....

I had a pleasant time here. There are a lot of hot pot options nearby and in the surrounding area, and the thing to keep in mind is that a hot pot place is the best when they just open. This place opened recently so the place is clean, the staff is on point attentive, and the place is not super crowded. The food options are better and fresher than the hot pot places that have been around for some time. I have been to all the other shops and have observed that over time, every hot pot place declines with time. My recommendation is that you take advantage of this newly set up place before it deteriorates. With that said, on to the review. The place is clean and they have a QR code that goes to their online ordering system. It is actually quite intuitive and it made ordering much easier than the supplied iPads from other places. We got our items really quick and it was not frozen like another review stated. I really like their 3 selection pot where you can choose several different soup bases. Remember they only have large pots and not individual pots. Their sauce bar isn't as grand as other places, but they have the basics and some unique choices. I enjoyed my sauce combination. The price is pretty standard around the area and the service was - in my opinion - better than some other places. Parking can be limited as this place isn't that big and getting in and out of the strip can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Overall, it was a good experience and would come again in the near future. Not so sure how this place will hold up in the long run, but at lease for now, they are doing a great job.

As much as I like my own individual bowl, it was cool they have shared bowls that has a split divider so you can try different soups! Every soup we tried was very flavorful: of herb, tomato, and mushroom. You order off your phone using the QR code on the table. That was pretty neat and made it easy to order! Came out on this cute tray. As you can see, you don't get a lot of what's ordered which is nice so you can get a taste of different things! But except reordering a bunch! They had a nice selection for their sauce bar as well! Tasty and affordable spot! Hidden in the shopping center next to Giant/Popeyes.

Forgot to take more pics before we started eating....

The food was delicious. This place has the most diverse variety of ingredients to add to your hotpot. Best of all, the ingredients are super fresh. You can really taste the difference. Also the fountain drinks are free which is such a huge bonus to the eating experience.

Delicious hotpot and amazing service, ingredients are fresh, good variety, highly recommended!

The inside had a lot more tables than I thought and the space was bigger than I thought. If i'm being honest, I first chose this place due to the conveyor belt, robot, and $20 lunch price point. Unfortunately, I only kind of got one of those. To my shock, the price increased to $25 for lunch and the conveyor belt was no longer working. I was honestly most excited about the conveyor belt. I saw some reviews that said due to covid they stopped it but if you ordered things, it was sent that way. Unfortunately I think the conveyor belt hasn't been in use for a while because they had decor and everything on it. They did have to robot but it only delivered drink and desserts sometimes. There were even times the robot was on its way to deliver something and the waiter stopped it in the middle of the walkway and deliver the item himself. I wouldn't say the experience was bad but I think it was subpar. Although I did like that the tables give you individual pots because I've been to some places where six people have to share one pot in the middle and it's chaos because you have to reach over people so the individual pot was great. In terms of the actual food it was not bad. The server was actually nice and brought us angus beef which was a dinner item, although we were there for lunch. I mad a great sauce from the sauce bar. I loved the appetizers they had. The fried rice and noodles were exactly how I love it. The fried rice was how i'd have it growing it. All and all loved it and will probably go back at some point. Parking was a little of a hassle so I would keep that in mind. Even during lunch it was hard to find adequate street parking.

Everything was good except for one thing, which I think is pretty important and influences my final score. When we arrived, I told the server we were new to hot pot and we wanted to try two broths. He showed us the iPad ordering device and told me that we should order a half and half pot for $1 extra to get two broths. So, I ordered a half and half pot, and then ordered a variety of meats and fish. We went up to get veggies, which were all being stored at a good cold temp and all looked good. Then a single SMALL pot (they have two sizes of hot pot) was delivered to our table, half one broth and half the other. As I put some of the ingredients in (we were feeding two people), the hot/spicy broth spilled over to the other (tom yum) broth, and essentially turned the whole meal into a spicy broth meal. We got no taste of the tom yum. As we ended the meal, I noticed that other couples had two different pots. We essentially were cramming food for two people into a single pot (and it was one of the small pots, not one of the big ones). As we went to pay the check, I asked the server if we should have gotten two individual pots, each with a different broth. He said "oh yes. I should have told you that." What??!!? So, we basically spent well almost $90 (including tip) for a single small pot of spicy broth mixed with other broth, and having to spend the time minimizing the transfer of broths from one side to the other by minimizing the amount of food we put into the small pot. Yes, I'm ticked off (and I don't tick off easily). The meal would have been very good, but I feel like we got taken advantage of and the server, when he saw us struggling to keep the broths separate and knew he should have been served two pots, didn't say a word, apologize, or offer us any discounts. I reached out twice to the restaurant through Yelp, but heard nothing back. Again, the meats looked good, the veggies looked good, the sauce station was a nice addition. But everything was crammed into a small pot that tasted the same. And they charged us an extra dollar for the privilege! Ugh. I'm really disappointed - and ticked off.

I got a seafood and mushroom. I also made myself a few sauce combinations. The food arrived quickly. Looked great. Food was fresh and cold and the meats (I only got chicken but looked at other's tables) looked great. The servers were helpful and friendly. Filled my water glass when I asked them to and took away empty plates pretty promptly. The place is equipped with a conveyor to transport plates of veggies, but it wasn't operating (maybe because it wasn't crowded). There's a robotic server that they used on occasion to bring drinks and plates of food to different tables. I liked this very much. The broths were good and the food was fresh. The cucumber and kimchi were very tasty, especially the kimchi. Each portion I ordered was large - one portion of marinated shrimp was 8 healthy-sized shrimp and the white fish (bass filet) was 4 pieces. Sweet potato was 4 pieces per order, etc. So be aware of that when you order, especially if you come solo. There's a lot that comes out with each item ordered. There's ice cream in a freezer for dessert and also cake and orange pieces. Dinner has more items in the menu, including more extensive seafood and meat offerings. I think the price is reasonable. Large prawns with the shells on were fried in salt, pepper and chili powder. The shells were crispy and edible and absorbed the flavoring well. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and succulent. Great place, will need to try other dishes.

If this was closer to me, I'd come a lot more often, but I have already taken the hike to come here twice, so I like this place that much! The bathroom is nice too with their sink.

The huge chicken with taro dish we ordered felt a bit cold in the middle; the bbq skewers and the spices they used felt subpar; and the non-bbq eggplant dish felt underwhelming. The huge chicken soup ($45) was forgettable. The taste reminded me of ramen instead of pork and chicken broth. The highlights were the pineapple fried rice, the pig brain, and the bbq eggplant (we ordered two different eggplant dishes). The mala dry pot was not bad either. Overall, the serving portions were huge. The service was pretty good too. The price for the portion was great. 3.5/4 and I bumped it up to a 4.
