Finally, a good, fair, and most of all honest repair shop. The staff is very knowledgeable and Lewis the owner is one of the fairest and honest mechanics I have been too. I have been using them for all my boat repairs and never once got gouged. He tells you what is wrong and gives you a quote and sticks with that quote. No hidden surprises. I have been doing business with Hot Headz Marine, for over 15 years. Lewis has always put the customer first! When taking him some challenges, for him about different boats i have owned. He has always figured out the problem, and fixing it correctly. They do not, short cut the fix! Have sent several friends to him, thru the years. I wish I had checked reviews for Hot Headz Marine before I went there. They charged me more per hour than quoted, even up to more than double, they charged me for unauthorized work and said they put in more hours on my boat than they are even open. If you have a complaint about this shoddy operation and it's owner, Lewis Walker, forward it to Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas. They now have a file on these people. Hopefully, the AG will eventually shut this operation down. read more

This is now the third time I'm entering my negative feedback. They BLOCKED my Facebook entry and Yelp made me re-post. Hot Headz is completely fraudulent and deceptive. We were promised that our boat would be returned to us in time for a fishing tournament we needed to fish to qualify for the championship round. My Angler showed up only to discover the cowling had never even been cracked after two weeks of "being secured in the shop." They passed the office buck and said that no one knew what was going on with the boat, even after everyone claimed to be the one in charge. They lured my friend by saying his high dollar boat would be shop kept because of their vandalism and theft issues in the fenced yard....More Bullshit. After getting the boat home, we discovered muddy footprints all through the boat, missing tackle, and the A-holes even popped the CO2 cartridges on our Automatic live vests (pfd's). I won't be taking my boat there, and I'll be posting the same warning on my local community website. Great guys have an older sea-doo and did'nt know about these guys at the time so i called all the sea-doo people around houston and they all preatty much told me that my jet ski is to old and they would not work on it. Called hot headz up and they were friendly and said yes we could work on it and be happy to do it. I would recommend anyone with an older jetski or any kind of boat to take to these guys read more

They will explain and show you how to fix and maintain your boat on the spot. Yes it can be exspensive but you pay for what you get and here you get excellent service and free know how and education they give you is priceless. My father paid over $2000 to have his outboard engine fixed. They could make it run at the shop, but a normal boat battery would not start the engine. It would only start with their big jump box. We never got to use the boat because of this, and every time we brought it in for repair, they would just bring back out the big jump box, And say it was fine. read more

Be careful with this guy! The name of his business sums up his attitude towards his customers. Be sure to get any quote in writing, because his hand shake and word isn't worth anything. The repair quote discussed and the final bill were not even close. Off by over $1000. I understand things can change, but performing work without authorization is unacceptable. We purchased our very first boat about a month and a half ago and had already experienced the worst service possible by the dealer we actually purchased it from. We took it to Lewis and had him and his team run a full diagnostic to discover several things that were not only misrepresented but things that had been messed up by the previous service team at the dealer. Lewis was very attentive to our needs and put forth the extra effort to educate us as to what was needed to be repaired, why, and ways to avoid future issues, where no one else had taken the time to explain anything. They even uploaded youtube videos of what they were doing while working on the boat so we could see exactly what he was referring to. They provided us a detailed estimate which was exactly what we paid at pickup. They are honest and let us know up front that the work could take a couple weeks and they have a first come first serve policy. We will definitely be using their services from now on! read more

I went to this place as I had seen it from traveling. I went and talked to the people there and I should of stopped then. While there driving by a truck with two men drove by and yelled and flipped the owner off screaming some noise. He stated they were local thieves and he had reported them before. Oh well next I left my boat and asked for repairs. This place lied multiple times about the work being done and they had not touched it. After 4 weeks I went to check on it and it was not moved and wanted to charge me storage fees when I refused to leave it longer. I reluctantly paid to get it back 160.00. I will never go back. I brought it to Quality Marine and the boat was repaired in 3 days. Cost less to repair it than I had to pay this place for rip-off storage. NEVER AGAIN. I went and googled and found a few other poor reviews on Hot Headz and I should of done my homework. read more

What a joke. I left my ski boat there for a "quick look over" after I bought it. It was running a little rough. It took almost three weeks before they even touched it. I got an email with a $500.00 + estimate for a bunch of stuff that I knew I didn't need. The estimate had a comment saying that if I would authorize the work I could have it that day. I called back right away and declined everything but the fuel/water filter element. He wanted to try and sell me a whole filter kit. I asked to use the one that was already installed and just change the filter element. Calling back that same Friday afternoon to check the status, I was told that since I rejected the full estimate, it would have to be "RE estimated" and wouldn't be completed until the following week. When I went to pay my bill a week later, she took my money and dropped my boat out front and walked away. I can hook up my trailer alone but c'mon. No thanks or offer to help or anything. I did speak to the kid that did the work and thanked him (Shane) he removed, cleaned, painted and re installed my filter bracket and even threw in a piece of new fuel hose. After "inspecting" my boat from top to bottom, they didn't even notice that the air filter was clogged with belt dust. It was starving for air. After cleaning it out myself, It runs great. The mechanic is OK but the owner and front office suck. THREE weeks for a engine run and didn't even notice the simple thing that was causing the problem that I took it in for. Take your boat to a reputable dealer or mechanic. someone who's honest and knows about boats and customer service. read more
