Very nice staff. Food was fresh and good! Would give 5 stars but the up charges on some items were too high.

Hot Head used to be great but now they suck. I would say the last 6 months of them hiring new employees have sucked. Employees given out half a scoop of proportions. Whether that's being the rice, tomatoes, corn or even the meat. It's all half a scoop which doesn't fill up the bowl. In fact, it doesn't even fill up half the fucking bowl. Why the fuck are they shaking out half the food that is in the scoop?? I'm still hungry after finishing off the bowl. I might as well order three fucking bowls just to fill one bowl. Sometimes the food is cold and old like it's been sitting out all day and perhaps from the previous day before. The rice clumped together hard as a rock when you bite into it. Two hours later after eating my bowl, I got sick and went to the doctors just for them to tell me that I got food poisoning!! The rice used to taste fresh with lime and cilantro, but not anymore. Oh, and don't get me started on their so-called "steak"! When I ask for steak, I want steak bites not ground up hamburger meat, which is used for tacos meat. read more

I walked in and ordered the Ghost special in a bowl. Barely was filled with anything to the point of even adding sour cream and guacamole it still didnt even touch the lid. A customers bowl was right behind mine fully filled like you would expect. I heard the guy tell the cashier ghost little bowl and I was still charged over 11 dollars for this barely filled bowl that had more jalapeños than chicken. I will never eat at a hot heads again. I know I rated this a 5 star so keep in mind that this is a Hot Heads restaurant. I am normally a Chipotle boy, but the Englewood one is in such shambles that I refuse to go there. That lead me to the Englewood Hot Heads and I am so glad it did! As far as Hot Heads goes this one is something different. The food in there you can tell just has more care when being made. It is fresh, tastes good and they are fairly generous with the portion size that they server here. It's not like they really give it to you, but I have always been happy and never have felt gypped out when they are filling my bowl or burrito up. I think this is such a good one because the owner is in there working everyday and knows what is going on and seems to give off the vibes that she cares. You can tell that she wants the food to taste good and it absolutely does. I also have noticed that this place really goes against the sad more recent Englewood trend of just having terrible employees that are lazy, not on it and just don't care when working. That is not the case here, the employees that they have are on it, fast and attentive when you are speaking to them. I would assume this also has to do with the owner working in there along side of them, but what ever the case is it is working. I really hope that other places catch on to what is going on at this restaurant, because again even though this is a hot heads they are doing it right and it tastes way better than pretty much all of the other hot heads I have been to. read more

They're never open the stated hours that are on the window I come at 9:10 they close at 10 is what their website and the door says. They decided to close early on a Sunday. The workers are in there looking at me at the door trying to get in laughing talking about were closed I'm like it's not 10, but they laughing and giggling like it's funny. Their customer service sucks I will not be coming back to this location it's a damn shame I got to go 10 miles out my way to get to a Hot Head Burrito store because I like hot head. I placed an order for pick up and specifically asked for NO beans! When I got the order home, the bowl was full of beans! When I called the store to report the issue, I was treated with "I didn't make the order, so it's not my fault" and "you can drive back here and we can give you another one" (from Tipp City) where we live. I asked if it could be delivered and the sarcastic gentleman, "Lambert", stated he could not do that! He gave me corporate's number if I wanted a refund on an order that could not be eaten! So, I had to leave a voicemail and wait until who knows when, for a response. I come to hot head every single day for my post workout meal. I think chipotle will be my new go to as the rudeness of staff at this location is insane. The employee who took my order was literally "huffing and puffing" stating, "ugh.. it's been like this all day.." in reference to customers coming in to order their meals. If you have such a problem with people coming to the restaurant to buy food, let alone pay your check, I guess I just won't come back. I was hoping this would be something like Chipotle or Qdoba, but it wasn't nearly as good. I've tried Hot Head Burritos several times, at several locations, but this is probably the one I've eaten at the most and the most recently so I'm reviewing this one. The burritos aren't BAD, they just aren't good either. The salsas taste... bitter. Not fresh and bright like salsa should, but somehow off. They also have some sauces available that they can add to the burrito. These sauces are all, at least as I've experienced them, not good. The hot ones are mostly just spicy oils that run over all the other ingredients and then out of the burrito while you're eating it. They do little to add flavour, and mostly add pure heat. The milder ones just didn't seem to taste good when I sampled them. It's a theme I'm noting including the salsas. It's hard to put my finger on what makes them taste off, they just don't taste right. On the plus side they do have some deals where you can get 2 burritos for around $11 on Sunday, which isn't too bad of a deal if you like their burritos. For my money, I'll drive to Chipotle and get a delicious growth hormone free, antibiotic free, sustainably raised, natural burrito that tastes good. read more

The staff is rude, they Never have name tags on and act like it's a problem when you ask for something extra on your bowl. specifically the female manager with brown curlish hair, not sure of her name because again they never have name tags on. She is always rushing customers and is rolling her eyes when you ask for a little extra pico or corn. I am the one paying for The food I would like it made right. I wish I could give 0 stars. went in today, this is not my husband's favorite place because when we get the bowl his is always cold from all the cold stuff he adds to it. Today, NO ONE was ahead of us but we stood and waited while the manager (at least I think it was the manager) prepared taco shells and tortilla shells and continued to argue with another worker about the procedure (she didn't think he was doing it right). anyway she had told us someone would be right with us, so we continued to wait for someone to take our order. I love other locations. This one is awful. Shift leader was trying to prep our food without gloves and without washing his hands after we waited for 15 minutes for him to get out of the bathroom ("He's the only one that knows how to cook shrimp.") We opted to leave without our side of e.coli. Normally service here is hit or miss based on whose working but this experience will keep us from going back. I recently moved to the area and miss the food from back home. I tried a burrito at Hot Head, and it was okay. Nothing worth writing a review for, but nothing to complain about either. I probably visited once a week or so for about 6 months. On one visit Cheyenne convinced me to try one of their sauces on my burrito. I am not big into spice, and with a name like Hot Head, I was reluctant to try. However, she insisted and gave me several samples on the side. This was the breaking point for me. I asked for a refund for all my past visits as I feel I was short changed. Eating a burrito there without sauce on it is a waste of money, if only they had told me this on my first visit. While I didn't get a refund for my past 20+ visits, I did find myself returning more frequently. They still are not the burritos I grew up with, but they are good. Then about 3 months ago Cheyenne suggested I try the Deluxe Quesadilla. Please don't do it, as I now I have an addiction problem. I probably eat 2 or more of these a week, and I can't bring myself to go back to the burritos. I do have one complaint/request. As a business owner myself I understand portioning out ingredients to control costs. However, it seems some of the employees get a bit stingy on the meat. These are not cheap burritos/quesadillas. Please add a little more meat, so we are getting our money's worth. read more

Love Hot Head Burritos..Englewood's Is even better with the massive arcade attached to it. Indoor batting cages this place is massive I tell you. After you sit down and eat you wanna go play a round of miniature golf just walk to the back of the restaurant and there is a glass door walk through and POOF your in a climate controlled paradise lots of cool games to play, Skeeball, wackamole, basketball, arcade games of all kinds. I always wonder why anyone would choose Chipotle when Hot Heads is right next door. HHB has better rice, better chicken, and IMHO better everything! I can't handle insane spiciness and HHB lets me customize my burrito around that. They are a little expensive (Chipotle is no different) but HHB always has coupons available, whether they're paper coupons in the mail or digital coupons included in their free app. But a soft taco is only $1.80, only $0.80 more than Taco Bell and infinitely higher quality. My little brother would like to add that he absolutely loves HHB's guacamole (though I won't touch the stuff so I can't vouch for him!). Overall one of my favorite restaurants! read more

Not what i expected! Just a huge portion of cold rice and cold beans, topped with cold steak ( what little steak there was), guacamole, peppers, and sauce wrapped in a lukewarm flour tortilla. A complete waist of money, over priced and not appetizing. I took it home and heated it in the microwave, that made it a mushy disgusting mess. I will not go back. I don't know why anyone eats here, unless it's just the large portion size. But even so, you do not get your money's worth even if it was edible. read more
