I had a fussy 10mo and needed something to do inside as it's very cold. We've never been to Almost Grown and it seemed like a good way for my kid to let off steam. This is a very cute cafe and ice cream shop with a play place in the back. It's a $10 admission per child, parents get in free. The admission here is $8 less than Pikopye's and you're able to just walk in. Love that. As some yelpers have mentioned, it is a bit chaotic as there are so many toys around. There are lots of tables to sit and eat at within the play area. There are different play areas such as a doctor's office set up complete with little scrubs, hats, and stethoscopes. There's a firefighting area with fire fighter gear. As well as a farmer's market area with tons of toy produce. All the toys from each play area are scattered amongst the entire play room. I'm kind of wondering how often they sanitize all the toys/costumes/tables etc. as there are a lot of kids with runny noses here. Overall it's a good place for kids to come and socialize/burn some energy.

The owner and receptionist were absolutely amazing and I feel terrible for not getting their names! My daughter is obsessed with clocks and they gave her the clock off the wall to play with as she kept pointing at it. She didn't tell me we would no longer be allowed to play when it turned 12 and that we would have to leave then. I was super caught off guard when they told my toddler she couldn't play any longer as she ran towards the slide. We were so confused because we had just gotten there and she never mentioned this when she took my payment. I honestly wouldn't have paid and would've gone to lunch early instead. I wish they were more clear about this. The front desk gal also wasn't the most friendly or helpful, and didn't seem very comfortable with children as she definitely wasn't super warm towards my toddler. You would think that employees of a childrens play place would genuinely like engaging with children and be fairly personable with them and know how to communicate in a way they can somewhat understand. This girl instead made my girl cry when she fussed at her for playing with the balloons that they had pre-setup for a party that weekend in a way that startled and embarrassed her. There were also so many rules- which I completely understand having for safety and liability reasons. But it felt like we were walking on eggshells the whole time just trying not to break rules and get scolded by an employee for it. It made the experience kind of stressful and unenjoyable. Maybe it would be better for someone who goes frequently, is familiar with all the many rules & strange play times/pricing, and could buy passes to make it cheaper. Even if we had been able to stay the full time, or even just longer than the 30 minutes we were there, the steep price tag on 2 hours of play just doesn't seem justified. We definitely won't return and will go to the equally fun and free playscapes at one of the many restaurants nearby!

Great place for kid to explore and be in exploring mood to get their hand dirty to discover things instead of iPads or iPhones. They can get wet and dirty (bring towels and xtra clothing for changing) since plenty of difference outdoor areas for them to discover and also inside there sessions or classes that they can sign up to lean things about nature & science. Really appreciated all this and especially the staff who are wonderfully patient with all type of kids and sometimes parents too. Thanks you.

Fortunately, the Austin Nature & Science Center ended up falling in the latter category. The main building houses an assortment of bones, shells, and rocks (as well as an axolotl tank) and another building is home to various reptiles. Outside areas include a dino pit (where kids can dig for fossils) and several animal enclosures. What makes the latter unique is that the animals are rehab/rescue cases. They include everything from a bobcat to a porcupine to a 34-year-old one-eyed owl (!!) and more. Granted, Austin Nature & Science Center does offer more for a younger crowd, and it isn't particularly easy to get to by bus, but it's hard to argue with a chance to take in flora and fauna for free.

Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek is amazing!…read more I have a little one that is absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs and my social media algorithm has been sending me videos of this place for years, so I was very excited to finally check it out. They are located in Cedar Creek which is south east of Austin (about 20-30min drive from downtown Austin). When you arrive you get your tickets and give you a quick explanation of the trail. The trail with all the dinosaurs was amazing! They probably had about 30 something dinosaurs, mammals and reptiles around the trail. We did the walk in around 45min but we definitely did it at a higher pace since my kid was very excited and kept running from one dino to the next. I like that they had a small description for each one with some fun facts. They also had a couple smaller dinosaurs hidden around the trail and they also had smaller ones that you could take pictures with. At the end of the trail they also have a playground and an area where you can "excavate" for fossils. You can also rent a private area near the playground for birthday parties which I thought was really awesome. The store is huge and has a crazy selection of dinosaurs toys (probably the best I've ever seen). Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be back during my next trip to Austin!

The park is certainly geared more towards children, which is great! There's plenty of space in the playground area as well as picnic tables and a pavilion. As 2 adults in our mid 30s, we thoroughly enjoyed the length of the trail, as well as the detail in the sculpture quality, and the plaques along the way that provide historic descriptions of each exhibit. It's a fun place, though, is highly recommended bringing a child along as it would make the experience even better.

My husband and I took my four-year-old daughter and her best friend (and mom) here shortly after the Christmas holidays. For a total of $50 (for us and our girls) we did a little hayride, a tour of the farm (including feeding/petting/grooming of various animals: bunnies, goats, pigs, ponies, etc.) and each girl got to ride a pony. We had an option to do a cookout, but I didn't really budget the time for it. I'd say maybe we were there an hour and a half, though nothing was timed and no one was in a rush. We then stayed after and ate snacks on the (very) modest playground enjoying the weather. Miriam obviously does this every day, with the same stories, songs, and jokes, so I guess you can say its cheesy for adult, but the kids loved it. Not an experience my daughter will forget any time soon....of course, now I have to budget for a pony ;-) Another review mentioned Miriam's focus on rules/safety but I didn't really see this beyond the obvious (here's how you walk behind a horse...or don't put your hand in the pig pen cuz he's greedy AF and might nibble a finger or whatever). When I witnessed these call outs that did not come across as overly strict or aggressive, rather situationally appropriate. While I can't comment on birthday parties here, I do think a very small group would work best. This is Miriam's home and it's obvious she cares a lot about sharing her passion with the littles; that said, you are tromping around her home, and with her animal companions, I don't imagine the chaos of a ton of kids would be a good match.

May 30, 2026 review ---…read moreI've been there two times in month of May for my friend's kiddos birthday party and both of them were similar age. This place is huge, tons of play activity inside. Upon entering, they ask you for showing signed waiver, which is valid for an year. We showed it during first entry but we're needed to tell phone number the second time. They stamp on your hand, very light, more like just a formality and let you enter inside a small door. Pretty big play area with tons of slides and other games for all kids. There were rounds table as well in one zone where families or adults were hanging out. At the back, they have 4-5 rooms for birthday party. It's little bit small size but ok for birthday party. They have setup for kids size table and big table one side for other items like pizza (which is in House provided) and other stuff. I think they allow some outside food, not sure. At one of birthday, I saw chips and guac and salsa so thinking so. At the center of room, you can have big chair for your kid to sit/stand for cake cutting. They provide a cart as well for moving your stuff from room to car which I think is pretty helpful. Staff usually is there throughout the event and checking on food, serving cake and all. Bathroom are clean and spacious too. Location is good on 183 highway so I think that's why this place is always so busy. Consider this for your toddler fun day or an event.

A Proud Grandma's 5-Star Review of Wacky Kidz!…read more As a proud grandma, I can honestly say that Wacky Kidz holds a very special place in my heart! I have celebrated ALL of my grandbabies' birthday parties here, and every single one has been such a wonderful experience. There is nothing more precious than watching your grandchildren laugh, play, and make memories that our family will cherish forever. One of the things I love most about Wacky Kidz is that you get the entire place to yourself for your event! You can relax, enjoy your family and friends, and let the kids have the time of their lives. Knowing there are security cameras throughout the facility is also a huge plus and gives you extra peace of mind while celebrating. Wacky Kidz is truly a place for ALL AGES! The kids have so much to enjoy, and even the adults can have fun with the pool tables and other activities. It's not just a place for the little ones--it's somewhere the whole family can get together, celebrate, and have a great time! Another thing I appreciate is that everything is shown on their website, so you can see what they offer and plan your event without having to guess what's included. It makes the whole process so much easier! For our family, Wacky Kidz has become more than just a birthday party venue. It's a place where we've celebrated our babies, watched them grow, shared laughter, and created memories that mean the world to me as their grandma. Those moments are priceless, and I'm so thankful we've had such a wonderful place to celebrate them. If you're looking for a fun, private, family-friendly place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion, I HIGHLY recommend Wacky Kidz! From the kids to the adults, there's something for everyone. Thank you, Wacky Kidz, for being part of so many special memories with my grandbabies. We appreciate you more than you know! Five stars all the way!
