This restaurant was a short walk from my hotel, near Nyhavn and is located between many other restaurants. I ordered "The HB" burger, which was only DKK 100 with a side of cheese fries for DKK 40. The burger meat was so juicy and tasted fresh. The cheese on the fries was just amazing, unlike the "cheese wiz" they put on fries in some restaurants. Despite the cheesy name and waitresses in hot pants, the burgers are pretty decent and the atmosphere is much nicer than you might expect. This is a pretty casual place and not at all male populated like hooters. The service is good and pretty quick. The paleo burger is definitely worth trying. The mushroom 'bun' at the top is very juicy and suits the burger very well. I ordered the chicken salad and fries on the side, so no opinion on the burgers. My salad was delicious and very filling. It had a nice amount of different toppings and the flavours went together pretty well. This place had a mixed vibe, kind of chill with a hint of Hooters. I really liked the interior design and music choice but the staff clothing was just something else. Our waitress was very nice, so no complaints there. All in all this place was a good choice in the moment but I wouldn't necessarily go back. Good food, but not the greatest bang for your buck. read more

My friends and I visited on a Monday night, thinking that the kitchen was open until 10pm. We arrived a little before 9pm, not knowing that their kitchen was closing in a few minutes. Even so, the staff allowed us to order quickly. I ordered the Mexican burger, and my friends ordered the Paleo and the HB. We all also ordered the twister fries. With an addition of tap water, I believe my personal total came out to be 155DKK. The Mexican burger was interesting with Nacho chips inside that were a lot like Cool Ranch Doritos; I would say the burger was so-so especially for the price, but the twisted fries tasted cajun and I loved it! The buns were soggy and ended up crumbling apart which is a huge turn off for me. I think the only reason why I am giving it such a high rating is because of their service even when we came in last minute. The waitresses messed up my friends' orders more than once as well. This is a must go to spot while in Denmark. The burgers were amazing and the service is great. FYI don't let the small dining area fool you, there is a bigger section upstairs. This is like a Hooters establishment for burgers except not as seedy. Seriously, Copenhagen, did you have to?! I think I went on an off day because service was not good. The girls didn't know what was what and they seemed confused. Luckily, it picked up later and we got a girl who knew what she was doing. We were seated at the window, on the right of the stairway, near the cashiering station, facing out toward the street. It's great for people watching, but whenever I'm eating and someone stares at me, I feel bad because I'm eating in front of them and they aren't. I almost feel like offering them some of my fries. Not really, but almost. I ordered a burger with a side of curly fries. The fries were AMAZING! The burger wasn't great. I liked how they served it on a wooden platter. A coworker of mine wanted really really bad to go to this place. He had heard a rumour that it was like hooters and similar chains, so I was curious. But girls in hotpants and small tops combined with food has always been a little cringeworthy for me. I ordered a burger with a little extras, as other people here in Yelp had recommended and I absolutely agree - paying a little extra is definitely worth it. I am a sucker for sweet potato fries, and I naturally went with these and their garlic mayo. The mayo itself was a little bland and the burger had a little too much of the green stuff in it, but it was pretty okay. The bun was a little soft and could probaly have gotten a little longer in the oven/grill. But the fries. Holy moly, I loved those fries. Messing up sweet potato fries is incredibly hard, but they managed to put some seasoning on those fries, of which I couldn't pinpoint, but they were incredibly tasty! And most likely the best I've had for quite some time. And yes, the waiters were exactly as you'd expect. Lots of makeup and bootyshorts/hotpants. I have mixed feeling about coming back. Came here for some quick burgers. That was exactly what we got. The service was ok, the waitresses weren't the friendliest. My brother ordered the paleo burger and couldn't finish it. The top was a large mushroom and it just wasn't sitting well with him. I had the pork sandwich and it had little to no flavor. "Oh, wait... are we in some kind of Danish Hooters?" It took about five minutes after sitting down for me to put together the name Hot Buns with the hot-pants-clad waitresses and American-diner style burger and wings menu. In typical CPH style, this place was gorgeously furnished, perfectly lighted, chicly styled and, from the sidewalk, simply seemed to be riding the posh burger wave we are currently enjoying in London. The menu had a good variety with wings, themed burgers (including the slightly cringe worthy "illegal mexican"), a plethora of fries styles (sweet potato, curly and hand cut) and all the diner sides you expect like onion rings and fried calamari. Even a homemade sauce section. But ... it wasn't that tasty. It wasn't awful, and it was delivered hot, but just sort of bland and greasy. My hot wings were more like season-less deep fried chicken wings with a sort of thin, spicy-sweet ketchup for dipping. The curly fries were great but the burger a tad meh. More bun than anything else. And for a place that seems to be eager to be a "lad's" haunt, they had just two beer options: Carlsberg and Heineken. This felt downright insulting after discovering the "pitchers" section of the menu was cocktails by the jug (mojitos, sangria). I've been in Europe for almost two months now and this is the best food I've eaten! Call me American, but you can't I wrong with burgers. (Well, you can, but this place can't!) The sauces were amazing, the fries were amazing, and the burgers especially were amazing. Perfectly cooked. The mojito pitcher was just as amazing- we thought it was virgin at first since we couldn't taste the alcohol, but then after two we realized it was just made very well. Atmosphere was amazing- I feel a little bad for the girls, though since it's very cold in Copenhagen now and they have to wear tank tops and shorts as their uniform. Went here on what it seamed to be a busy saturday night and Waitresses took quite some time to take our order. Even though we were told by the hostess that waiting time to get our food will be around 45 min, it really took them way less than that (which was awesome!) to deliver our massively delicious blue cheese and bacon burgers (we were quite hungry so portions were just PERFECT). Sweet potato fries were alright, but the habanero mayo didn't pack much punch. The servers are terrible and we waited so long to order. There werent any one in the store. And the girl didn't remember who ordered which burger, and gave us the wrong one. Also, terrible burgers, worst than big mac in Mcdonald. The buns were burnt and black. The taste of the patty isnt significant. It feels like eating a mixture of burger. Other than that, the fries and its sauce its pretty good. but they are easy to make. I got chili mayo, great sauce but pricy. If you want to grab a burger close from Kongens Nytorv. It was pretty empty around lunch time. They don't offer a lunch deal by the way. It's nice and tasty, but pretty basic. I wouldn't call it "gastro" burger. When we went there the soda fountain wasn't working so it was impossible to get any kind of fizzy drinks so we had to take tap water. read more

We have gone here twice now and we have not been disappointed. The vegetarian burger is very tasty and the others I have tried were good as well. The waitress recommended the wine to me as I do not drink beer. I normally am a bit skeptic about the wine they have in this type of places but I had to agree with the waitress that it was actually pretty good. The fries are good but maybe just a bit more would be even better? The only thing that bothers me is that it is very warm inside (probably so that the skimpy-dressed waitresses do not get cold). And the price is quite high so leave out the option number 3 (sauce to your fries) because it is not included in the price of the burger even though it looks that way. My work is nearby and I had passed by plenty of times with curiosity and wondered if burgers would taste better served by slightly under dressed waiters. I must be honest - the fact that the staff of this place are only women wearing hot-pants was very off-putting for a long time until my colleague convinced us to give it a try. Luckily we stumbled in during lunch time and the only girl working there was dressed appropriate. jeej :D And the burgers were GREAT, one of the best I have tried in Copenhagen - cooked exactly the way we wanted them, juicy and full of flavor. I also liked their choices of side orders - different types of fries and sauces (including some that are homemade). Regards the price - it is slightly higher than the average burger price around Copenhagen, but quality is worth it. I won`t put 5 stars, because I`m not sure if I would go back there - even though we were lucky during our visit, I still don`t feel comfortable associating burger buns with hot girls buns in a place where I eat. read more
