Paleo burger and sweet potato fries
    Sarianne S.

Despite the cheesy name and waitresses in hot pants, the burgers are pretty decent and the atmosphere is much nicer than you might expect. This is a pretty casual place and not at all male populated like hooters. The service is good and pretty quick. The paleo burger is definitely worth trying. The mushroom 'bun' at the top is very juicy and suits the burger very well. The green bottom part starts tasting a bit too healthy towards the end so it's good to compensate with some sweet potato fries which are absolutely delicious here.

My friends and I visited on a Monday night, thinking that the kitchen was open until 10pm. We arrived a little before 9pm, not knowing that their kitchen was closing in a few minutes. Even so, the staff allowed us to order quickly. I ordered the Mexican burger, and my friends ordered the Paleo and the HB. We all also ordered the twister fries. With an addition of tap water, I believe my personal total came out to be 155DKK. The Mexican burger was interesting with Nacho chips inside that were a lot like Cool Ranch Doritos; I would say the burger was so-so especially for the price, but the twisted fries tasted cajun and I loved it! The buns were soggy and ended up crumbling apart which is a huge turn off for me. I think the only reason why I am giving it such a high rating is because of their service even when we came in last minute. The waitresses messed up my friends' orders more than once as well. I wouldn't highly recommend this place, but maybe if you are in the area you can give it a try!

Came here for some quick burgers. That was exactly what we got. The service was ok, the waitresses weren't the friendliest. My brother ordered the paleo burger and couldn't finish it. The top was a large mushroom and it just wasn't sitting well with him. I had the pork sandwich and it had little to no flavor. This place is fine if you just want to grab some quick food before you head out for the night.

Blue cheese and bacon burger... Awesome !!!!

Went here on what it seamed to be a busy saturday night and Waitresses took quite some time to take our order. Even though we were told by the hostess that waiting time to get our food will be around 45 min, it really took them way less than that (which was awesome!) to deliver our massively delicious blue cheese and bacon burgers (we were quite hungry so portions were just PERFECT). Ambiance is really cool, cozy and relax. Music is just so good there ;) will definitely come back when visiting Copenhagen again ;).

Tells you something that the beef patty is the thing you DON'T want to finish.

Hooters waitresses aside, the burgers were a disappointment. Meat used was too lean and slightly overdone and the other ingredients, while good on their own, blended into a spicy-salty mush. Sweet potato fries were alright, but the habanero mayo didn't pack much punch. It wasn't awful, but if you're talking about "gastro-burgers", you should really give the dishes a bit more love and character. 2/5 wouldn't go again.

Regards the price - it is slightly higher than the average burger price around Copenhagen, but quality is worth it.

Ranked as the 6th best burger in the world by Food and Wine magazine in 2024 ("Organic beef…read morecheeseburger with onions, pickles, and a house Gasoline Sauce. $16 "), the Gasoline Grill hamburger restaurant has multiple locations throughout Denmark. It's one of those things where I was glad I stopped by, but didn't really experience anything with the food or ambiance that would make me recommend this as a out-of-the way stop that the ranking would seem to suggest. This one is the original, using the station building as a walk-up window with the kitchen inside. They have a few picnic tables on the side for outdoor dining, and I do think that it's important to eat the burger as soon as possible. The interesting thing is that it is still a working gas station, with an island with multiple pumps dispensing petrol (which I didn't see being used during my wait) and some electric charging stations (which was actively being used). I was able to place my order (nothing customized, just wanted exactly as they described after about a 10 minute wait, got my lemonade right away, and waited another 10 minutes to get my food (everything is made-to-order). The cheeseburger was 110 DKK, fries was 40, lemonade was 35, and dipping sauce was 10 with 10 off for being a combo. So total was 185 DKK (about $28.88 in USD). The process and food reminded me very much of a Shake Shack, with the young workers working together to produce well-made smashburgers using great ingredients. The color scheme reminds me of a Wingstop, though. I squeezed between a couple of single diners and dug in. The burger was good, with that loose smash burger quality. It came with a mayo based thousand island like sauce (their gasoline sauce), and had tomato, pickles, red onion slices, and a gooey, plentiful cheese. The lemonade was good, and the hint of elderflower made it memorable. The crinkle fries were good, well done fried which I appreciate. Ate the meal fast before my hands started to freeze up, tossed the remains in the gas station islands garbage bin and was on my way. I really do think a food like this is all about where you eat it...if on an airplane, or at a ballpark, or at the beach...yeah, I could see the appeal. But at a gas station in freezing weather on a picnic table...not so much.

This place completely hit the spot. The burger was everything you want; juicy, flavorful, and…read moreperfectly cooked, with just the right balance of toppings that didn't overwhelm the meat. The bun held up beautifully without getting soggy, and the fries on the side were crispy and golden. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients here. The ambiance was great too; casual and relaxed but still with a cool vibe that makes it feel like more than just a quick stop. It's the kind of spot where you can hang out with friends, enjoy good food, and not feel rushed. Service was excellent. The staff was friendly, quick with recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without hovering. Everything came out promptly, and you could see they genuinely wanted customers to have a good experience.

The burgers are perfectly cooked, and the crisp vegetables and pillowy bun make everything even better! There is a nice variety of canned beverages, including beer, and we stuck with soda. The employees are friendly and definitely proud of their work, as they should be. Be forewarned that, at least at this location, there are no places to sit, and there is just a counter to stand and eat at. We were on the move and figured we'd just eat there. Even if you take it to a hotel room, you might stink it up for a while! Therefore, standing and eating isn't the worst plan, especially when it's this food. (Time to drool like Homer Simpson.) My husband randomly brings this up when someone mentions burgers, he sees one in a commercial, etc. This restaurant sets the standard for burgers anywhere in the world. I am very glad I did some nerdy research and pointed him toward it, because we both are so glad we went :')

The cheeseburger we had was very tasty, and we also tried the French fries with their herb dip, which was a delicious addition. One thing to keep in mind is that it's fairly common at some places in Copenhagen to charge extra for condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and dipping sauces. Overall, the burger was excellent, but I personally still prefer POPL, the burger restaurant from the team behind Noma.
