Home made biscuits

First time going to this little diner i felt right at home. Food was amazing I had to buy extra biscuits to take home. Out waitress was very friendly and fast at getting us served. We will definitely go back.

Very pleasantly surprised by this little diner! Older dining room, but very good food. My Reuben sandwich was exceptional, you could taste all the spices in the pastrami, and the sauerkraut was fresh and crunchy. The burger with onions, cheese, and BBQ sauce was also delicious, very juicy and flavorful. Fair prices, good looking desserts, though we were too full to get any. Fast, friendly service. Parking out front. Very sensitive to my food allergy. I have a severe shellfish allergy, and there were plenty of things I could eat that hadn't been fried with shrimp. They subbed deep fried onions for pan fried on my burger, and it was great.

If you're going to have the word "biscuit" in the name of your diner, you'd think you would bake a great biscuit. They don't here. The problem? They microwave them. No effort at all. Lazy. 1/2assed owner The service here is excellent. No issue at all. It's never the server's fault that the kitchen may be lax.

We had breakfast here yesterday, its hit or miss. Todays meals were liked by all. I had the blueberry pancakes pictured, they were very good. Service was very good.

Chicken Tenders

The service was impeccable & the portions were huge. Most of the food was very very tasty. But overall it was okay. Chicken tenders were straight outta the frozen food bag. As was the seafood. The biscuits were super tasty and the biscuit gravy was delicious. But my fried vegetable app, while advertised with mushrooms on the menu FIRST, contained no mushrooms. The side of brown gravy was bland. The side of baked beans was flavorful and pretty to look at. I'd say maybe this is more of a breakfast place.

Coffee with creamer

Short stack of pancakes for me and a biscuit and eggs for my daughter. Everything was really good!! Perfect breakfast with a great cup of coffee!

The amazing biscuits. Don't miss these!

Bad food, table covered in ants. Apparently the bar is set extremely low in this town. How are these people still in business?

Friendly staff, stopped for lunch. Wasn't impressed with the food. Good desserts though and the place was clean.

The main dining room was closed so we went down to the pub and opted to sit outside for the music. The view of the green is beautiful but on a 90 degree day for a seasonal place I was surprised there were no outdoor fans. Golfers coming of the course do have to walk through the patio area to get back to their cars which didn't bother me but can be descriptive if it's a large group. The lower bathrooms also double as changing rooms for golfers and have a shower and dressing area in each. Our server was friendly and attentive. The menu was small but very varied though there were certainly some colder weather option meals that looked interesting but would have been uncomfortable to eat in the weather. We shared the poutine and hummus plate for apps. The hummus was presented well and flavorful. The poutine had alot of meat, a good dollop of horseradish sauce and a surprisingly small amount of cheese curds. Fries were good. For my main meal I ordered the club sandwich without ham and kettlechips. The club was a single decker and was as expected but just a bit smaller. But the real star of the plate was the home made kettle chips seasoned with old bay. Admittedly old bay seasoning is one of my favorites. I would go back again and try some other things.

Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious as were the sides. Chicken Parmesan was good as well. Chicken was well seasoned. Would've liked more flavor when it came to the pasta--just a minor detail. Will definitely be back when we visit the area again!

Family of 5 visiting on vacation...return visitors…read more All of the breakfast food was very well prepared and had great taste. The Sugar & Spice pancakes are always a must have for my son. I had an omelet off of the Specials menu with Pineapple, ham and mozzarella...Basically a Hawaiian Pizza but in an omelet. Very good, if you like Hawaiian Pizza. The home fries didn't have much color to them but we're actually cooked through and tasted good With a nice texture. The only draw back was our server, while efficient, had like in the way of people skills. Every interaction was as short as possible. Not bad, just not good. Lots of items to shop for if you are a tourist.

We finally decided to try out S&S and I found it good, but not worth the 5 stars everyone gives it pancakes = well cooked, round, pretty standard. don't get 4 pancakes unless you want be in a pancake induced coma. also, they put a literal small ice cream scoop size of butter on the pancakes. Only IHOP does that and it's way too much butter. If you are eating all of that butter, you might need an extra dose of lipitor. Toast = kind of boring S&S pancakes = kind of tasted like pancakes with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Home fries = those were good I was there with two 16-year olds who both thought the food was "mid". I did see a small girl sitting with plate in front of her that had a waffle with ice cream and whipped cream piled so high, that it was almost as tall as her. Her eyes were huge and she was trying to figure out where to start. That waffle looked pretty good and as I passed the table, her dad was leaning in to "help out and keep the plate clean". They sell a lot of baseball hats and t-shirts.

Intrigued, we decided to stop here on our way back to Canada :( Sunday morning. Mr. Border Guard was correct! If that's an indication about breakfast itself... we will absolutely be back to try it! (Super long wait might have been caused by Father's Day). Of course, Boyfriend also had to pick up some fudge to try. Gift shop is cute but nothing like Cracker Barrel, so don't expect that - but definitely go for the donuts!
