Not everybody is going to be super pleasant and chatty, I think that's fine tbh. I haven't ever had anyone be rude to me here. It's a huge space and they get in tons of treasures, it's true thrift store with lots of goodies stacked to sift through. It goes to a good cause and a lot of people working hard for the kittens and cats so I always feel good donating and purchasing from here. In order to keep things running they rely on these purchases, so the prices probably have a lot to do with that. I'll always come back. It's way bigger than you'd realize looking from the outside.

My recently donated a large amount of items while doing a clean out on a house. Some of the items were very nice and pretty valuable too. I just did not have time to sell them so I had to donate to get the house cleared out. I dealt with a guy wearing a cowboy hat, who was very nice to me. Very polite. Then my next trip I've dealt with another guy who is incredibly rude. Black dude, bald with a mustache. Everything that I was unloading, he had some negative comment to make. One thing was a Christmas tree still in its box. He said "this? Really? What the hell we gonna do with a Christmas tree in April??" then he continued to make comments about everything else. Luckily, the other guy came out with the cowboy hat and took over. And everything was fine after that. But Jesus Christ, when people are donating items for you guys to sell, you don't sit there and make shitty comments about everything they are donating. I will donate elsewhere from now on because of this employee.

A few items were reasonable, but the majority felt like someone discovered a pricing gun and a dream. At that point, just say you're a boutique and stand in it. Chris is creative and does an amazing job of pulling things together in outfits. She really loves helping create options which I have no talent to do myself. She was so nice about it as well. I now feel like going back will be as nice as going shopping with a good friend. They offer a very nice variety of high end clothes that are organized nicely, easy to find what you need, and very reasonably discounted. They squeezed past me holding a lot of clothing in their arms, even though I made space for them in the aisle, and somehow further down the aisle tripped on the items they were carrying a bit, and cursed loudly within ear shot. I don't usually go to Danville or the East Bay, but this holiday season we decided to visit our cousins out there instead of having them come to us! I was going to just go to the RH Outlet, but they suggested the Home Consignment Center in Danville which was on the way. We walk in--there's plenty of parking outside and it's near Costco (and Costco Gas.) The place is cavernous! It's packed! A picture does not do it justice. They had so many different sofas, chairs, chaises, sectionals, artwork, and cute knickknacks. A few leather sofas including a cute tufted one caught my eye, but this one leather sectional in particular really stood out. It was new with tags and very reasonably-priced--this was because it is pretty low/short, which can be fixed easily! We chatted with some employees who also mentioned we could add risers and make it taller/higher, and they explained the brand Timothy Oulton is pretty much Restoration Hardware because he was a designer for them. I bought the piece on the spot and we drove it home in my mom's SUV in 2 trips. We appreciate the staff for helping us load the car and carry the different sectional modules through the store! They were very kind and helpful. My cousins had told us that you don't know what you're going to find at Home Consignment Center as it has different pieces depending on when you go! Different items each time. Such fun! I'll be back when I need more furniture.

I usually buy shoes, handbags and sunglasses. However, they have lots of clothing, jackets, and jewelry as well. I've read some of the reviews and they say a lot of times people don't greet them while they're shopping. That has happened to me only once. They usually have a lot of great friendly employees ready to assist you. If you are selling clothes, you need to call them and make an appointment which I recommend. Another tip is if you're selling clothes and have a haul to bring in they have a parking lot in the back with easy access to the store. They also have plenty of street parking in front of the store and nearby. I recently went in to pick up a bag that I had them pulled because it didn't sell at a higher price so I decided to keep the handbag and to pick up my check. I hate to admit, however, they sometimes can be a little forgetful when it comes to mailing you your check. I recommend calling in to see how your clothes are doing, and if they've been sold I ask them to mail me my check. And unfortunately they have forgotten two times to mail me my check so now I just pick up my check and I also use it as an opportunity to shop and have lunch in the area. The selection of clothes, handbags and accessories were good. The shoes section was a bit of disappointment. I purchased a brand new with tags cashmere dress; marked at $895 for $99!! What a great find in a beautiful soft green color. My friend purchased a CHANEL GST tote for $3500, almost brand new!! How w can you go wrong? Love to stop by here any time in town!!
