This Pick Your Part location was a solid experience overall. I came here to turn in my car through…read morethe California BAR program, and this is one of the approved locations that accepts vehicles through the state program. I'm really glad I went the state route. The generic Pick Your Part quote I got online was around $190, which was much lower than I expected. Through the BAR program, I ended up receiving a little over $1,000, which made a huge difference and was well worth meeting the program requirements. Finding the location was the only slightly confusing part. When I first arrived, I followed a sign that said "We Buy Cars" and made a sharp right, but that turned out to be the wrong entrance. If you're using Apple Maps, keep going straight instead. The correct office where the paperwork is handled will be on your left. Once inside, the front desk staff member was very friendly, helpful, and patient throughout the process. The paperwork took the longest, but everything was clearly explained. After the initial paperwork, I was directed back to the "We Buy Cars" area, drove straight down, made a small left, and found a mobile office where they finalized everything, took the car, and gave me the remaining documents. A couple of things to note: * Customer restrooms are portable toilets only, with a pump-style hand washer * Plan accordingly if that's important to you I arrived right when they opened at 9:00 AM and was completely finished by 9:53 AM, which I thought was very reasonable given the process. They handled everything on the DMV side and issued the check without any issues. Overall, a smooth experience, and I'd recommend this location if you're doing a BAR program vehicle turn-in.

I bought a rebuilt motor for my 2000 4Runner. There were issues in the beginning . I have a…read moregreat local mechanic who was putting the engine into my car. After putting the rebuilt engine into my car, the car would not start. He checked and rechecked all his work and found nothing wrong. He even took the time to call you regarding the issue. He then did a compression check on the rebuilt engine and found the camshaft on the right side to have been installed upside down. You barely acknowledged the mistake and did not pay him a fair amount for the work he had to do to correct. Now we went to replace the water pump and discovered that you never put a new water pump on the rebuilt engine. Instead the outside was painted to appear new. When he opened the casing it was obviously a very very old water pump. There is rust everywhere and the metal disks are almost nonexistent! I would recommend to anyone not to get anything from this company.

I thought these guys were honest and legit group but totally wrong. I have had to go back a couple…read moretimes to get things looked at and fixed. They let me leave the first time with a broken OE end link. I even let them know the sound was way too loud to be what they initially thought was the ball joint bearing. They also installed my wing and I kept hearing weird noises in the rear. Turns out its the suspension, not the wing. However, when I looked to see if any bolts were loose, all of them were. I tried to tighten them but they just kept spinning. Smh. I let them know there's a loud slapping sound coming from the rear passenger, even sent a video, and they want to charge me to diagnose and fix it...said that they made sure to check all the torque specs. I highly doubt that. If they let me leave the first time with a broke part. I don't know how a shop can function this way. If you installed something incorrectly, you should look to fix it at no charge. They do not doo quality work at all. I would double and triple check your service if you plan to come here. Although customer service was decent, I will never come back to this place again. Service from the techs cannot be trusted.
