We will be back!

Just off to the side is a large covered space for outdoor dining and/or dancing. Inside, on the main floor, is the main hall. It had more than enough room for a bar, dance floor, and seating. Food was served buffet style in another room. I can see why people choose this place...it has everything! 74/2023

Starting inside, the cocktail lounge room was a little dark, but would be a nice place to host a cocktail reception or dinner party. There was a bar area, fireplace with some couches, and plenty of tvs for any entertainment purposes. Adjacent to the cocktail lounge was the terrace, outside portion. Partially covered space and uncovered. It was a great space for some outdoor seating and games, as well as a space for kids toys and entertainment. The surrounding area has a beautiful park with the dam and playground. This would be a beautiful space for any event, the staff I spoke to was all very friendly and made our time there enjoyable!

Bed was comfortable, living room/kitchen area was nice and the view is spectacular! I would stay here again for the view alone. The hotel was also nice and quiet/relaxing. Disappointing stay at Bella Vista…read more I was really looking forward to a peaceful and relaxing stay at Bella Vista Suites, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. When I arrived, the bathroom sink had a drippy faucet and was full of dirty, standing water. I had to call twice to get it addressed. The TV in my room didn't work, and when I called the front desk for help that evening, no one answered. The next morning at 6:30am, I called again and was told to bring the remote down to the desk to see if the issue was just the batteries--at 6:30 in the morning, no less. I shouldn't be trouble shooting when I am paying for the room. I told the front desk that the remote worked fine on the other TV in the suite, so that clearly wasn't the problem. I left for breakfast, expecting it would be resolved, but when I returned, the TV still wasn't fixed and there was fresh standing water in the sink. To add to the poor experience, a sleeper sofa was propped up on its end in the hallway outside my room the entire time I was there. I had to walk past the exposed bottom of a piece of furniture every time I came or went. There was also trash bagged in plastic grocery bags left sitting on a random coffee table in the hallway--just not what you expect from a hotel at this price point. No gesture of goodwill or rate adjustment was offered despite multiple issues and inconveniences. Bella Vista Suites has a lovely location and a lot of potential, but the condition of the room and lack of responsiveness from staff made my stay disappointing. I hope management takes steps to improve both service and upkeep.

The breakfasts were fantastic and very elegant in presentation. Brenda told us some great stories and we felt like family by the time we left. Two huge thumbs up and we couldn't of been happier about our stay there. We will definitely be back and will be recommending them to family and friends. Pricing was very reasonable also. We had a blast and she also made us a cake and gave us a bottle of wine for our 24th wedding anniversary. The grounds outside were also beautiful and private. Breakfast was at 9 and to us the perfect time. Thanks Brenda and Bob!

I highly recommend you stay here if you want to avoid the cheesy beach resorts, which is what I did. I arrived extremely late at night, and Bob was incredibly patient and stood outside with a flashlight to make sure i wouldn't miss the entrance to the B and B. The hosts were also very knowledgeable about local landmarks and things to do (and I really enjoyed visiting an observatory nearby that was just gorgeous and doing some shopping downtown -- was there for work so not much free time). The room is quaint, nicely furnished for the antique look, and has a very comfortable bed. (The Sunshine Room.) I would go back there in a heartbeat next time I am in Lake Geneva.

The place could use a serious renovation, but it still feels cozy despite its flaws, and we decided the price was fair and reflective of the quality we got. We stayed in the Sunshine Room and it was just fine. The place is about 10 minutes from downtown Lake Geneva. Breakfast was served to all the guests at the same time. Sue cooks and Bob plays waiter/busboy. Very, very tasty...Sue is a fantastic cook! Our only complaint was that the sheets weren't super soft and the towels might be the ones they bought when they opened the place 19 years ago...pretty scratchy and dingy. They could use some new ones. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay here. Sadly Bob and Sue told us they might stop running the place in the next year or so and hand things over to their son. Hopefully he will run things as well as they do!

Don't be fooled by the poor reviews, this place is great…read more To those who said it's derelict or shabby--it's a Victorian era home, you guys. It's from the 1800s and it's in amazing condition considering that age. If you don't want all that goes with staying in a cool historical building, get a room at the Hilton and call it a day. Okay, rant over. Now the good stuff. We stayed in the veranda suite for a long weekend and it was WONDERFUL. The room is lined almost entirely in bookcases with cool old books to be perused and enjoyed. Upon check-in the man who greeted us and provided our key was the sweetest of guys and the rest of the weekend we were left in peace. No intrusive keepers here! We were greeted by a small basket of fresh local apples when we arrived and while it's a small gesture, it was well appreciated (there was a rosy apple with pink flesh in the mix that I'm newly obsessed with). There was a coffee/tea station outside our room, wine glasses to be used at our leisure, silverware, fridges in the room and outside of it for our restaurant leftovers, and a wet bar in the room itself. Amenities were few but thoughtful. And honestly I appreciated not having a ton of unnecessary bells and whistles. Ultimate highlight besides the cool library vibe: THE VIEW. the room comes with its own private porch with table, chairs, and porch swing where you can look right out onto Lake Geneva. No buildings stand in the way. You're right there on the lake. Very romantic with a bottle of wine and the fall rain we had while visiting. Definitely a deal maker. Location! We were walking distance to everything good. You're mere steps away from the harbor, restaurants, and the downtown. We walked everywhere with ease. The keepers of the villa offer free parking, as well. No parking hassles at all!! The only things i didn't *love* about the place were the size of our shower (way too small, I bumped my elbows constantly) and there is a moderate amount of noise from people walking upstairs from you (old house floorboards, after all). That being said, what you get with the Inn far outweighs those minor inconveniences. I'd definitely stay here again.
