Truly a magical experience when you book here. First off, the space? Just gorgeous. Rustic but yet…read moremodern in all the best ways. They redid the space (it was an old furniture store that had a fire years back) and just did a wonderful job with utilizing their space and the bones of the building. Absolutely wonderful and the reason I fell in love with it instantly. Now the team? Amazing. The coordinator team is so helpful, communicative, and just genuinely care. The bartenders were amazing- quick, calm, and friendly. The set up team just knocks it out of the park. Their DJ team? Amazing. Really understood our vibe and read the room amazingly. Absolutely no complaints about any of the staff. I personally feel like I got to work with every coordinator they have, and all were just amazing. My girl Racheal though? Life saver. She kept me calm and cared about everything and anything, especially the things I just didn't have the time or eye for. Her set up crew, including Kaid was just so personable and made us feel like yes we can do this! Just all around a wonderful experience, and not that I would do it again but if I did, it'd be at the Merc with Rachael all over again. Thanks guys!

Mercantile Hall: On 9/12 I had the pleasure of attending my youngest brother's wedding here…read more Nestled into the heart of downtown Burlington is Mercantile Hall. My brother and sister-in-law had a wedding of about 150 people, but the hall can accommodate up to 220. Their outdoor patio dubbed the "Urb Garden" is home to their vintage camper bar Suesanna. On the side of the building next to the patio is a lovely area where the ceremony was held and later that night was used for bags/cornhole. The restrooms were clean and well kept. There was also more than enough room for dancing once dinner had finished. I really only have one complaint, but it's kind of important. The head table they provided was too small. One member of the wedding party (ME) had to sit on the opposite side of the table, which looked funny, was uncomfortable, and felt disrespectful. It's disappointing that the hall could not accommodate better and provide an additional table or one that was only a foot or two longer (see pic). For that reason I've got to drop the score. I wouldn't let that deter anyone from considering using this venue as it really was quite lovely. I just ask that the hall be a little more considerate of seating arrangements for the wedding party for future receptions. *Also zero TVs, so if your event is during something like a Packer game then make sure to bring your own Doughboy_Food_Reviews

WEDDING FUN It has…read morebeen forever since I've attended a wedding reception at an actual banquet hall and this place really put out a fantastic spread. The passed appetizers were really good. The fresh tomato bruschetta was addictive as well as the stuffed mushrooms. The staff was very friendly and they made their way around the whole room making sure that every one was well fed. The bar was really cute. It was well staffed. I loved that they had printed out a paper drink menu taped to the bar with what was included to drink. They did have cash options to upgrade your alcohol too, if you wanted. The bar was open for most of the night but turned to a cash bar during dinner. That's easy to fix. Order two drinks before dinner. There was a guy at our table who was mad he had to buy a drink. His wife was even more mad when she said to him why didn't you buy me a drink too. Oops! It's all about timing at a wedding. Everyone at our table had a drink backer to make it through dinner. We're planners! The wedding had to go with a buffet because the banquet hall can't find enough people to work for a sit down dinner. This was the only set back. Dinner was about an hour late being served but it was well worth it. When they opened the lines a table captain went around and told each table to get in line. I was surprised at how fast the four lines went. Everyone must have been really hungry! The room got fed really quickly once the buffet was open. I was surprised at how delicious and fresh all of the food was. I have never eaten here before, so I didn't not know what to expect. Every single food item rocked. I was really excited about the carving station serving up prime rib. That's old school. I remember when I was a kid that was always the highlight of a wedding meal, especially for my Dad. The room was very nice and the staff was super sweet. I was truly impressed with this banquet hall considering we are out in the country and there is not much competition. This place is knocking it out of the park. The best was yet to come. There was late night pizzas from the kitchen! What? Now that's the way to throw a party. After all of the dancing the pizzas were a sight for sore eyes!!! I'd highly recommend this place for your next special event. Everything was perfect. I had low expectations considering we're living in a pandemic and everything is out of whack. This banquet hall delivered a fun evening. I'm so happy for the bride and groom who are super nice. They deserved to be treated like royalty.
