I came here recently for an appointment with Dr DeMayo (http://www.yelp.com/biz/demayo-frank-md-tracy#hrid:SyIaGhTP6eO4SAZGP-sHOA/src:self) and the experience with the office itself was ok. The staff at the front desk are not the friendliest or most welcoming people and made me wait for quite some time before they acknowledged that I was there. Once I had informed them of what I was there for and had my insurance information taken I was handed this tablet which I had to fill all of my information on, it took so damn long! And it asked the same thing 2 or 3 times. EG: Emergency contact information and either part of or my whole social number. I don't know the number off of the top of my head so I had to keep getting it out of my purse. What a pain in the ass. And I paid an additional $10 for the privilege of filling out the form on tablet rather than paper which is now mandatory here. Anyhow.. all that aside (which took about 30 minutes) The office is small but with a decent amount of seating. The assistant Scott who took my blood pressure while I was waiting to see Dr DeMayo was very nice and took the time to talk for a short time while the Doctor was with another patient. I'm probably going to be coming to this office a lot in the next few months for treatment and it's ok once you get passed the check in.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME this establishment is UNPROFESSIONAL!!…read more If the doctor is anything like the staff I can't imagine how this place still runs. I just called to schedule an appointment, I've been having knee issues that aren't showing up on MRI's or X-Rays but I know something is wrong. I have a newborn I need to take care of, I can barley walk or sit I have to keep my leg propped up any chance I get which is so difficult with a newborn. I also just put in for disability paperwork because I can't go back to serving at a restaurant with my knee feeling like this. I was needing to speak to an orthopedic specialist to see what's going on, maybe I have a meniscus tear or something else that isn't showing up on scans. It's the 7th day into my disability claim and by the 14th I will no longer be eligible for disability, which I will start losing my house and car without a job. I can barley do anything myself and I feel like I'm gonna lose everything I worked so hard for. I called in hopes to get an emergency appointment or to talk to someone that could help me and who understood my situation but when I called I couldn't get a word in edgewise with anyone I talked to. Every single person that I was on the phone with told me that it would be a week wait for my referral to be processed and that they didn't have appointments until the end of the month. Obviously I can't wait that long so I tried to talk to the manager. First the receptionist (who had no idea what she was doing) put me on the phone with another random employee that works at the establishment instead of putting me on with the manager. That employee then started saying the same thing that the receptionist said, and wouldn't let me talk so I asked her if she was the manager, she then said no. So I asked for a manager AGAIN, this being at least the fifth time so I was a little aggravated but not enough to cuss. Out of the blue she yells "excuse me miss don't cuss at me!" I never cussed at her, I was actually being very polite even with everything going on. When the manager got on the phone she was the most unprofessional of all, didn't even ask about my situation or how I was. She started repeating exactly what the two ladies said to me before I talked to her. EVERY single employee interrupted me, made me feel disrespected, and like they could careless about my situation. When the manager got on the phone she told me that my scans show there was nothing wrong with me so I wasn't a priority and that I should put myself into a person shoes that had a worse situation. I then told her that she was being very unprofessional and how I couldn't believe that she wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. She then started yelling back at me, telling me that they are not unprofessional and that I should never say that to them. Obviously if you're a MANAGER YELLING AT A PATIENT over the phone you're UNPROFESSIONAL and need a new job that doesn't deal in customer service. IM TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! I called Stanislaus Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic where I spoke to a wonderful girl named Blanca, that helped me right away. She said she'd even stay late to get my referral into the doctor so I can get seen next week.

The worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional. To not only be made to feel stupid…read morebut to also have your medical concerns disregarded then the sudden refusal of treatment because you dont agree with his treatment. I think this guy forgot he was a human being just like the rest of us...maybe its because I'm a black male or maybe he's just an arrogant prick???? I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND

You think you do the research and get a good doctor. Like…read morethe other review, Dr Dainer was perfect before my initial surgery. After surgery, he made the comment, my knee was as good as it's going to get, that I will have some instability. There isn't any more he could do. I continued to have falls and slip ups. So I went back to see him. At the office visit, very rude and short with me. Even after I told him I had a fall. Months go by, and I had another fall. This time, extensive damage to my knee and now broken bones. I call the doctor to make an appointment. They receive authorization from my carrier. The day comes to go in, an 1.5 before my appointment the office calls me to tell me that they need my personal insurance for they have to Bill me personally. Once I tell them I'm Kaiser, their response is I have to pay cash, before being seen. I told the initial nurse, I was confused. They received authorization for me to be seen by the carrier. Apparently Dainer was refusing that coverage. After attorney calls and carrier calls, I was finally able to see him. But I really shouldn't have. I go in and you could tell he didn't want to see me. He looks at my wound (stitches from one end to the other end of my knee) and says your fine and walks out. Um....I sat there... was I supposed to leave with an open wound? I'm in a wheelchair so, I pull out of the room, excuse me.... am I'm suppose to leave the office with an open wound? The nurse nurse looks at me and says hold on, let me ask the doctor. 5 minutes later, I roll myself out, without proper bandages. I am amazed this doctor is still in business. He doesn't care about his patients. He only cares to be paid for surgeries. Not for maintenance care or follow up care....etc. I left in tears at the treatment I received.
