However, my final experience here was awful. The hygienist got tons of floss stuck in my tooth, which has never happened to me before in all my years of dental care. It made me a little nervous. When I expressed my concern, she yelled at me to "just stay calm". She was clearly stressed and taking it out on me which was very unprofessional. She could have just calmly said, "don't worry, I got you". After my cleaning, I noticed that the issue of things getting stuck in that tooth was much worse, so I reached out to the doctor about it. She was very rude and dismissive And said we already talked about it and that she didn't feel comfortable answering my questions about foods to support overall dental health and that I could look it up myself. A day later, I received a letter in the mail saying that "due to a breakdown in doctor patient care, they would no longer be willing to be my dentist." I was absolutely shocked at this aggressive, melodramatic reaction to something so petty. I asked very normal and appropriate questions and behaved completely normally in the office. I can assure you that the "breakdown" was because of their lack of patient care, compassion, and social skills and not because of anything I said or did as a patient. I was extremely cooperative and asked very normal questions. I find this to be a really unethical move because they told me I needed additional dental care, yet, it is next to impossible to find a dentist that takes my insurance and it took me forever to get reestablisbed with this office.

Rarely ever any discomfort or pain, and if I've called out that it's painful, they immediately do what they can to make sure I'm comfortable. Even recently, my 2 year old chipped his teeth and we got him in to Dr. Hasan pretty quickly. She eased our worry (the parents) with a calm and light hearted approach, to an easy-fix situation. When I didn't receive a call, I followed up and spoke with Miranda and the experience was incredibly frustrating. She was extremely difficult. Instead of helping, she was combative and dismissive. We went back and forth on the phone for about seven minutes over a simple request: arranging the follow-up call I had already been told to expect. I had to ask multiple times before she finally agreed to have the doctor call me directly. When I asked when I could expect the call, she told me the doctor is "busy all day, every day" and couldn't provide even a general timeframe. That response was unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand that doctors are busy but basic communication and courtesy should still apply. This interaction made an already stressful situation worse. I hope management addresses how patients are spoken to, because no one should have to push this hard just to receive follow-up.
