I Would Not Recommend due to Extremely Poor Communication. After my initial X-ray visit, I was told the doctor would contact me virtually to review the results since I'm not local. When I didn't receive a call, I followed up and spoke with Miranda and the experience was incredibly frustrating. She was extremely difficult. Instead of helping, she was combative and dismissive. We went back and forth on the phone for about seven minutes over a simple request: arranging the follow-up call I had already been told to expect. I had to ask multiple times before she finally agreed to have the doctor call me directly. When I asked when I could expect the call, she told me the doctor is "busy all day, every day" and couldn't provide even a general timeframe. That response was unprofessional and unnecessary. I completely understand that doctors are busy but basic communication and courtesy should still apply. This interaction made an already stressful situation worse. I hope management addresses how patients are spoken to, because no one should have to push this hard just to receive follow-up. read more

My appointment with Dr. Pham was exceptional. She really took the time to explain my oral health care very diligently with each section and tooth of concern. Dr. Pham cares about your overall health and wellbeing, she even arranged extra time to sit with me and chat about other issues related to sleep and breathing (all important to oral health). For those who know they need a root canal, please be aware that you'll get a referral to an endodontist but you might not get an appt. This is what happened to me. I waited many days for the endodontist to call me back to give me an appt. After many calls to the endodontist, I finally got a call back but I found out they didn't get the necessary information from this office. This office said they didn't get my request to do so. I have proof I sent the request. Another star off for this. I was not able to get the endodontist to call me back afterwards(probably because the procedure wasn't a simple one.) If you don't need root canal or complex work to be done, I think this is a good place. read more

Dentist appointments were always something that gave me a lot of anxiety. Even as a kid, it took a couple of people to hold me down kicking and screaming to get anything done. It was to the point where I had a molar extracted without any numbing as I have an issues with sharp objects in my mouth since I cannot see them. It is more of a trust issue than anything because I am not afraid of getting vaccines or tattoos so it isn't a fear of needles. My first appointment at Dental 1 was on Saturday, yes I said it, a Saturday appointment. Saturday appointments for any medical issues are rare, at least around me. The scheduling here is very flexible which is a life saver for me because I work a regular 8-5 job and is usually only free on weekends or after 5pm on a weekday. Their flexible schedule was one of the reasons I decided to become a patient here. I am a new patient and was able to get an appointment within a week of calling. The environment Dental 1 created was very homey. There was a fire place, sofa, great music choice and instead of just having a news on, there were channels I would typical watch at home. Paper work was a breeze and I was seen right by 1:05 when my appointment was at 1. I forgot the name of who did my cleaning but she was gentle and if I flinch or moved, she would check on me. I haven't been to the dentist in two years so I was very sensitive. Dr.Pham came to check on me after my cleaning and gave me a game plan and was very happy to chat with me. She was super busy but still took me through my X-rays thoroughly and made it clear what should be a priority. I also had a 3D scan of my teeth done and that was so cool to see as it was easier to demonstrate which teeth were my issues. Overall I am please with my first appointment at Dental 1 and I am sure I will be a long time patients. My next appointment is coming up and although I am still nervous, I know they are gentle here and is patient with me. I recommend anyone who is looking for a dentist to come here. read more

I just became a new patient here and I already love this place. When I made my first appointment over the phone the receptionist was so nice and helpful, and was able to give me a reasonable date when other offices were giving me appointments that were months away. She was just so sweet and welcoming and answered all my annoying questions. When I got there I felt like I walked in to an HGTV / ikea showroom, if it wasn't for the dental one signs all over the door I would have thought I was in the wrong place. I have never seen a dentists office or any office for that matter look so nice and warm, I want my living room to look exactly like their waiting room. All the staff were very nice and welcoming. I believe Lauren did my teeth cleaning , I despise that metal pick thing, but she made me feel so comfortable, and did an amazing job on my cleaning, and she was funny, I felt like a friend was doing my cleaning. This place has all the up to date gadgets and you can tell they care about your experience and not just your money. I highly highly recommend. I haven't been to the dentist in a few years and decided to give them a try due to all the high ratings here on Yelp. I'm glad I called and scheduled an appointment because my experience here has been exceptional. They have lots of flexibility with scheduling as they are open late and then to top it off, everyone that works here is very nice from the front desk to the dental assistants. Each time that I have had an appointment(actually have had 3 in the last two weeks), I received a follow up call just to check in and make sure I was feeling alright. Long overdue review of a great Dental office. I've actually been going to this location for 50 years and have had 3 dentists in that time. I drive over an hour to get there, as I have not lived in the vicinity for some time. Not only is the office well organized with all the latest dental technology but Dr Pham is the best Dentist I have ever visited. Great job explaining any issues that come up and her work is always efficient and thorough. On the few occasions that I have had dental 'emergencies' they always took me right away. I honestly don't know why I haven't written a review sooner. I went to Dental1 for about two years before switching to another dentist place because of my dental insurance plan. However, I switched back over to Dental1 because I didn't realize how good I had it there! Lauren does an impeccable job with my teeth cleaning. Not only is she very personable, but she cleans my teeth with such great care and detail that I had to come back just for her! Getting my teeth cleaned by her feels like I'm just catching up with an old friend. Additionally, since I've been back to Dental1, I've noticed a huge upgrade to their decor and technology. The waiting area and receptionist area are extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at. It feels as if I've stepped into an interior designed home. The dentist rooms even have TVs on both the wall and the ceilings! They really just cater to you here and I literally have no complains about this place. It's more than what you expect for a dentist office. They really go above and beyond. Lastly, although this is a small gesture..it's makes a huge difference in the experience here. For the typical dental goodie bag, Lauren even asked me if I use an electric toothbrush or a manual one because she would give me an electric toothbrush head for the specific brand I use. I have never had such a great dentist. Dr. Pham truly loves what she does and is amazingly good at it. All of the staff are knowledgeable, effective, and friendly. The facility is excellent, with TVs in each room. Getting an appointment is always easy and convenient. I get text message reminders and confirm right from my phone. She uses the latest cutting-edge techniques and methods. My crown was created right there in the office and the whole process was done in less than an hour instead of waiting for weeks with a temporary crown. So far, my experience with 6-month braces has been phenomenal. I never thought I would do braces, but not having to wear them for 1-2 years?! I said, "sign me up." I actually look forward to going in for my appointments. I've never felt that way about going to the dentist. I just started coming to this practice a few months ago after moving to Adams Village (Dorchester) area. Super easy and quick drive from Dorchester -- takes me 10 minutes. Parking is a breeze. First time finding the office I was a little confused and drove past it 3 times, but once I figured out it was literally in the building with the bank, I was fine. Got my first cleaning scheduled and appointment within a couple days of calling. Dr. Pham, the front desk staff, and hygienists are super friendly, professional, and skilled in what they do! I appreciate they are very up front about potential out of pocket costs and even call insurance on your behalf to make sure things are covered. Unfortunately for me, I had a filling needing replacement but Dr. Pham was amazing. She has a great energy that helps you feel calm and she tells you as much or as little as you want during the procedure to make you comfortable. She even takes the time to make sure new filling is properly filed to not disrupt your bite, something my dentist a decade ago didn't do which is why it fell out and my bite always felt off. Dr. Pham & Nicole get extra points for calling me the day after my filling to make sure I was doing okay. I've never had a dentist do this!!! I've been happily going to another dental practice for 10+ years. After I moved to south shore, I (hesitantly) decided to take a chance on another dental practice since it was just too far. Upon yelp search, I quickly found Dental 1 based on good reviews and location. I called for appointment and spoke with Nancy. She was very pleasant and helpful in scheduling the visit. I asked her to contact me if there are cancelation as I have flexible schedule. She called me periodically and was able to find earlier appointment that fit my schedule. Nancy greeted and welcomed me when I came in and introduced me to Lisa who was my hygienist. Lisa was kind, attentive, and good! It was pretty cool to watch TV while Lisa was working on my teeth. It kept my mind off the procedure. I scheduled next visit 6 months out. On my way out, I met with Dr. Pham. She introduced herself and welcomed me. I walked out feeling great and happy about finding Dental 1. About week later, I received hand written welcome card from Dental 1. They recently renovated with top notch amenities and the office aesthetic is so cute. During my initial visit, I was impressed with their covid protocol.
