They will often have some unscheduled time in case of dental emergencies such as mine. Now for the review of care...but first a bit of my own history. I have been the recipient of much brutal dentistry begining at age 6. Despite my endeavor in oral hygine; my teeth are simply weak. I've had root canals other places over my years and I can tell you without a doubt Dr. Hayhurst is the most gentle and understanding. They have t.v.'s on the ceilings with headphones to help drown out the sounds and distract from the inevitable actions necessary to repair a tooth. Extra care to place protective eyewear on patients from light glare is also a kind service. Billing is never fun, but services are all explained carefully and no service is rendered without consent. I appreciate that he also explains personally all the services needed in order to have a completely healthy set of teeth. That doesnt mean you have to have all the work done; but its nice to know what's not right in there. I'd also like to add I'm 100% self-pay (no insurance)...and Dr. Hayhurst doesn't have the most inexpensive services, but the quality of care and service is top notch! No wonder he is the official dentist for the Idaho Steelheads!

That's when the scare campaign began. The connection between oral health and heart health got pretty dramatic. He went into salesman mode! Made me feel like I had to take immediate action beginning with x-rays. Didn't go there for x-rays! But I agreed to the x-rays. following x-rays cavities were found. Wasn't confident that I even had cavities. More salesman mode! I went ahead reluctantly with filling 4 cavaties. Long story short the work he preformed was sloppy and my bite was altered in a bad way and will never be the same. I now have to take tiny bites and chew very carefully or I will bite the inside of my cheek on one side or the other. In the end he blamed the problem on me and said his work was perfect. His staff is very good at what they do but Dr. Hayhurst is a way better salesman that he is a dentist! If you're thinking about going to him don't !!!! Find a different dentist.

Meanwhile, my tooth is still broken... I never received another response, so I have, since, cancelled all appointments and will be going elsewhere. In reviewing my Explanation of Benefits, I have over-paid at every appointment. I am now trying to get my overpayment reimbursed... we shall see. update.. I see that Timothy responded.. About every appointment I had I waiting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Also, come to find out he has poor quality of care. Two of my fillings done by him have a large edge which a new dentist has to go back in and smooth out those areas. Find someone else that will slow down and take good care of your teeth.

Dr. Bluth decided I needed a root canal on tooth # 4 instead. $3,500+ later, the original tooth (tooth#2, the one that actually needed treatment), is causing massive issues. He did a root canal in the wrong, healthy tooth. This is backed by my referrals from my dentist. I'm in so much pain that I have almost gone to the ED on several occasions. (My dentist was kind enough to talk to me on his weekend and call in an antibiotic). Rocky Mountain isn't admitting fault (of course). The ladies running the show are extremely unprofessional and rude. Ella hung up on me. How's that for someone running your business? She said "I'm not welcome at any of their clinics". They cancelled an emergency appointment while I'm in so much pain. EDIT* the tooth that needed a root canal is now infected. I am on narcotics and an antibiotic. Steer clear and go ANYWHERE but here. I will be reporting Dr.Bluth to the Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Board, and the American Association of Endodontics.
