The food is nothing to write home about. However it does have good music, a nice view, and decent boneless wings. I'd go back.

Heard a lot of good things, so I had to try it for myself. I was not impressed. Went last Sunday evening. It was slow, and the place was filthy. I'm quite unsure why this place doesn't have 5 stars. Pretty much every time we think about going out to eat, I pick this place. Maybe it's their bottomless flavored lemonades or their tempura pickles. Seriously I have never ordered anything that wasn't delicious. Went at about 3:00pm on 3/13/12. The restaurant and bar were fairly empty. I ordered the fish and chips while my girlfriend had the flat iron steak penne. The fish was full of oil, slimy, and rather cold. My girlfriends steak was over cooked, bland, and tasted of the natural gas that it was cooked over. The wait staff was great though. The manager when confronted by the wait staff about our issues never moved from his seat. I was really hoping for something better but I'm not recommending this place to even my enemies. read more

When you go to a restaurant in Silverdale for lunch, it's because you have things you need to get done in Silverdale, but are hungry. You want to get in, have a good meal, and be on your way. I've been here twice, both times during the work day. Both times, INCREDIBLY slow service. Today, I went in, asked to be seated at a table in the bar, and grabbed a seat. A passing waitress said my server would be with me in a moment. I popped open my ipad, and checked my emails, and responded to a few. I opened my news app, read several stories, and then posted them on facebook...and then realized I still hadn't been offered even a drink or a glass of water, though at least 10 minutes had gone by. Plenty of servers flying past me, but none would stop. 5 minutes later...still nothing. Got up, walked out, and the Host saw me going out the door. I told him "I'm going somewhere where they'll actually wait on me". If you were in a resort in fiji, with no where to go, and nothing to do, this level of service would still be considered rude; if you're in the middle of your day, and need to eat and get on with your day, go somewhere else. read more

Ever eaten a meal and thought one hour after, "boy I am gonna have some diarrhea tomorrow"? This is not an exaggeration, I felt ill while eating and felt worse the next morning. My buffalo chicken wrap was just miserable, I couldn't eat it. The waitress made uncomfortable innuendo about sneaking into my house while my wife was asleep which I guess is not necessarily a bad thing. Hop Jacks is legit. Went there tonight (Friday) got a dam good first impression with our server Kristina. Food was bomb.com. we will be going back soon, had the look of a brewery Bar, but the feel of a sports bar. The perfect blend in my book. Reminds me of a Bar in Bricktown Oklahoma City called the Bricktown Brewery. I cant really say anymore the food was hot fresh and the drinks were flavorful and cold. Highly Recommending. read more

I don't know how long this place has been open but they need to shut down for a day or two and retrain their staff. I saw 3 different servers that had know idea what the table numbers were. I asked for cheese on my burger after it came out so the server took it back and the kitchen didn't melt the cheese. Any cook that has any since of pride would have melted the cheese. When we got the bill they charged me for something I didn't order. The only bright side is that after talking with the manager three different times durning the meal he finally took my burger off the bill. Oh and I forgot the bun was stale. The staff interactions were a little hokey (though everyone was very pleasant), which was obviously something they had to do as a franchise, but it made the experience seem a little fake. My business partner and I usually enjoy our food and drinks here but it was off this time. Customers service not so great, but better towards the time we were leaving. The fish tacos were ok but the pulled pork flat bread had 2 oz of meat I guess, so it was mainly bread. The lemonade was not the same. Absolutely love this Hop Jacks. I been going here every day when I was at Silverdale on a work trip for a week since it was right next to my hotel. First of all, the people working here are super friendly and will keep you laughing the whole time. Be sure to sit at the bar. Second It's right next to water, so on nice sunny days you can sit outside with a good view and some fresh air. Menu is the same as any other Hop Jacks but for those they don't know this place yet, you've been missing out. They have really good French Onion Soup as well as Clam Chowder. If you are into salads then steak salad is the way to go. They have this really interesting BBQ Mac m Cheese that's really good. Hop Jacks also brews their own beer, defiantly give it a sample before getting your regular Manny's or Space-dust. They didn't seem too busy when I would come in, not sure how it is on the weekends. I had heard some not very nice things about this place so I was super skeptical.... However my friend told me it was really good so we went there for lunch. It was during the Mac and cheese month and I alar fell of my seat at how good it was. Great decor, lots of windows and one wall looks out over the water, so that's a plus. My sister and I went here for lunch and now we can say, "Been there, done that." Over a half hour after placing our simple lunch order, having watched people who were seated after us be served, I finally got the attention of a server to find out what was taking so long. He went back to check. They were "out of something" we ordered, but they "were dealing with it." I said, "Some places would have asked if I wanted to order something else or given us an order of fries while we waited." "Oh," he said, then, when the lightbulb went on, he added, "would you like some fries?" So, we'll stick with Hale's in the Kitsap Mall. We went on a Friday night after work so it was very busy. The waitress was very pleasant, she was there just the right amount, not missing and not too much. The food was not bad. Have to mention the music first. Refreshing to have a place that doesn't force patrons to listen to "old fart" rock/easy listening garbage such as what's featured at other local joints such as Hales/Red Robin etc. When my boyfriend and I ate here the other night I noticed decent 90's alternative playing, sprinkled with a mix of contemporary alternative, etc. As for the service, our server was Charles and he was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly without being overwhelming. Enjoyed a great blended strawberry lime margarita and fried pickles and the boyfriend had a beer and cheese sticks, followed by a shared guacamole burger. Overall the food was wonderful...hot and fresh. Only two complaints are that they can't do a 1/2 and 1/2 basket of fried pickles and zuchinni and our burger wasn't red enough in the middle for my preference. Went here while staying at the Silverdale Beach Hotel. It was convenient to the hotel. I enjoyed the ice drinks. The gummy bear one was out of this world good. I only drink on vacation so two drinks should have made me tipsy..... Two drinks here and I didn't even notice I had any alcohol. I could probably have drank a pitcher of their mixed drinks and not caught a buzz. Food was mediocre. read more

I've now been to Hop Jacks several times, we keep going back because the food is good, but the service on each visit has been sub par.
