It's been several years since I have used Dr. Lewis as my PCP, but wanted to share my experience…read more Dr. Lewis has a great demeanor and for run of the mill things like the flu or high blood pressure, you're in good hands. If you have anything more challenging, you may be taking your life in your hands. I had a small tumor in my pancreas that he didn't seem too concerned about and approached with a "wait and see" attitude. Within six months the tumor grew so large that not only did it require the removal of 60% of my pancreas but it had also blocked the blood flow to my spleen, requiring it to be removed as well. For months afterward, as my A1C kept rising to dangerous levels (17 at it's highest), his answer was to just keep increasing my oral diabetes medications. Thank goodness another doctor referred me out to a good endocrinologist who was aghast at how my diabetes was being handled. He made the comment that any competent doctor would have known to switch me to insulin as I did not have enough of a pancreas left for the medication I was taking to function as designed. Within a few months my A1C dropped drastically and I found a new PCP. Dr. Lewis seems like a very nice person, and appeared genuinely concerned, but when your health is on the line, you want expertise. If you have a complicated health issue, you may want to look for a more seasoned physician.

I would recommend him to parents of teens going for their first well woman exam, to newly pregnant women looking for a doctor to care for both her unborn baby and herself, as well as women who have skipped this particular part of their overall care. He is personable and patient. He has a great staff as well... Ronda is the nurse I've always seen and she is very calming when need be and a hoot the rest of the time.

A surgeon consulted with me and advised me to leave that provider. I then got many recommendations for Dr. Patel. Those recommendations were "spot on". Dr. Patel is great. Dr. Patel is wonderful. He is amiable and understands where you are coming from. He believes you. He does assertively tell you what your treatment plan is. He will take all factors into consideration. One of the best things I like is that he is a part of an overall consortium. It is "one stop medical shopping".

The other doctors just wanted to keep me on prescriptions drugs, Dr. Potter cared enough to actually fix me instead of just prolong my illness. When I had questions, they answered them very quickly, in fact, much quicker then all my other doctors. If you are sick, Dr. Potter is the man to see. He will fix you instead of just keeping you on drugs. I feel better now then I have in over 8 years. My only goal was to feel good enough to play with my grandson, Dr. Potter not only got me there, I am able to do things I haven't done in years and feel better then I ever have. I receive a written report of our discussion and any plans going forward so I don't leave feeling like I need a medical dictionary. Brittany is amazing also. She is always friendly and can get my blood draw done with one stick. I love having a doctor who can address all my concerns and doesn't have me waiting for hours for a 15 minute check over.
