Everyone at Barfield Clinic is great from.frontbdesk to techs to docors. The Practitioners are all very skilled and caring. Never have had to wait very long to see someone. Jack Hydrick is just great, He is my favorite although you cannot go wrong with any of them up there. My husband and I both feel he goes above and beyond what he has to do in order to get to the heart of the matter and he is so kind. Kurt Knoll is awesome also and very skilled and caring. I have never seen Ms Venable but i would not hesitate to see her as I'm sure she would not be there, if she was not also great! If you feel bad or need help, Start Here! They will help you. I love Barfield! Been a patient for 9 years. Kurt Knoll, Jack Hydrick and Leann Venable are great! Spend the time with you, listen and explain things with care and excellent bedside manner. The Nurses and staff are fantastic. I highly recommend them. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DAMN CLINIC !! ESPECIALLY FOR BLOOD TESTS / ANNUAL BLOOD WORK!!! They mess up your lab work, tell you you maybe have a disease or cancer, send you to a specialist as a federal because it's an EMERGENCY, and THEY MESSED UP THE BLOOD WORK EXTREMELY!!! THEY USED SOMEONE ELSES BLOOD REPORT FOR MY FAMILY MEMBERS BLOOD WORK!!!! They're a bunch of idiots and the nurses and ABSOLUTELY RUDE !!!!! Never ever go to the clinic. They rush, mislabel blood work, they scare you telling you you may have cancer. The nurses are literally so damn rude. They talk behind patients backs. They laugh at you. They messed up my family members blood work and scared them with cancer. Never ever ever go here. So unprofessional. They even said "it's highly unlikely for a lab mistake" these unprofessional and extremely rude nurses said this. They're a mistake. It's a mistake they have a job as a nurse. Same to the female doctor, she is not called to do this profession. She's awful and disheartening. She's to busy rushing going home. Go home and don't be a damn doctor. Receptionist sucked. I just got off the phone for the second time after calling. Boyfriend called the first time (keep in mind he hasn't been to the doctor in 2+ years. So much has changed) asking if they do walk-ins or appointments. He explained his symptoms and the lady said he'd need to do a virtual appointment... she never followed up on it. So he said "okay, thanks" and hung up. I call then, already upset that she didn't help. I explain the situation further and mention how the receptionist before never followed up. (Same receptionist I'm talking to now) she immediately defended herself with an attitude saying "It wasn't that I never followed up he just said 'okay thanks' and hung up" okay... I said "okay well how do we do the virtual thing" she proceeds to ask his name and I tell her. She says he hasn't been to the clinic in 2+ years. I ask "will we need to do more paperwork?" And says yes. (I'm already salty at this point with her so if we gotta do a bunch of paperwork anyway why would we bother going here?) So I tell her "one second" to check if that's okay with my boyfriend. I hear her HANG UP! Wtf! So rude! So She ruined any chance of us ever going back there. Thanks lady. I cannot say enough how much I love this practice. I was recommended by a friend as a place to visit when I need to start a short term disability claim. This was 2 years ago and since then, this clinic has been my primary care facility. I've been for check ups, vaccines, and all kinds of other concerns. Leanne is such an angel! I could cry thinking of how different my experience has been with her and the other providers vs other clinics/doctors offices. I always feel that my concerns are taken seriously and my feedback on possible next steps is taken into consideration. I am confident in advocating for myself because I'm made to feel important and I'm seen as the expert of my own body. I love love love Leanne and Jack. Worse clinic ever. Made me wait outside for 20 minutes. They said they would be a few minutes. Then I waited another 30 minutes before asking them to return my money. Do not recommend. Wasted an hour and never was seen. I could understand if they were busy but they had no one in lobby and only one patient in the back. Never mind that no one took responsibility for letting me sit at the door waiting. read more

I called and spoke to a receptionist before coming in to see them and the receptionist gave me incorrect information and made me an appointment for the following week and so I waited until the appt and then when I arrived I was told they couldn't do what the receptionist told me they could and so I wasted my time energy and gas for an appt I had to cancel when I arrived. The doctors are very knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. They are the only reason to keep going back. I have been coming for years. The staff used to be the same way but now, the receptionists are the opposite. I had tested positive for COVID and for some reason did not have a date of release letter for my work. NO ONE in the office would answer my call all day. I left my phone number and didn't get a call back. It seems like if you have COVID, they would answer the phone instead of forcing you to go into the office and get the letter in person. I had to ask my husband to go in for me and without referring to the doctor first, they gave the wrong date (four days too long) on the letter and I had to ask him to go back (because I had COVID) to get the correct date on the letter. They still were not answering the phone! I will go back, only because the doctors and nurses are amazing. I hope the office staff gets on board because they have the potential to run the people away! I want to give the office staff a 1 and the doctors a five so I will settle with a 3 out of respect for those people there that spend a tremendous part of their life to help people in need! read more

I usually avoid leaving bad reviews, but I can't let this rest. I went to Barfield Clinic, because I dropped a heavy item on my toe. I gave it about 18 hours to see what would happen, and what it would look like. My toe swelled and turned black, so I decided I needed an X-Ray. I showed up at the Barfield Clinic window at 1:27 pm on a Saturday. I was first greeted with a horrible "you have to wear a mask" by the receptionist. I told her there is a sign on the window that says I do not need one if I have been vaccinated. To that she said, "We have been vaccinated, and we have to wear one. The CDC has changed the rules." So, okay, I took the mask and put it on. Then the other receptionist who was much more polite asked if I had ever been there before as she rolled her eyes at the behavior of the other receptionist. I said yes, but it has been a very long time. She turned to the other impolite receptionist and said, "We will have to do her as a new patient, because it has been so long." The very rude receptionist proceeded to say that the nurse had already clocked out for the day as she looked up at the clock behind the desk. At this time, it was 1:30pm, and they are not supposed to close until 2:00pm. She said that it would take me 15 min to fill out the paperwork (I had just filled paperwork out there for my son, and it took all of 8 min) and then they weren't sure if the doctor would want to see me, because it would take so long to do a full work-up. I did not need a work-up. I needed Intake and toe X-Ray. Needless to say, I did not want someone from that clinic to see me, at that point. I have never felt so disrespected. They were angry that I came there at 1/27pm. There was no one else there, and they wanted to go home. I was treated like trash. I wish I had a recording of how nasty she was. I am a physical therapist, and I understand that people do not want to work late, but I left and went to Gateway Urgent care, and they had me in and out in 45 min. And yes my right toe is broken. I don't want to say that I will never go there again, because I really like some of the nurse practitioners and doctors that are there, but they know if there receptionists are acting this way, and they should be told never to treat anyone this way. I should not leave a doctor's office in tears, because they do not want to see me. read more

They take walk-in's, even for patients without insurance. It's normally about $75 for the uninsured. They can treat patients for a multitude of medical conditions such as Diabetes, Depression, ADHD, ect . The staff is very friendly. This place even has onsite laboratory, and X Ray techs. If you are looking for a new PCP this is where I would suggest. read more

I have been a patient at the Barfield clinic for about 3 years now. I showed up for a routine ear cleaning, as a walk in. There were three couples that were ahead of me, and one individual. After I had signed in gave my ID and insurance card, three more couples came in and an individual. Note, I walked in at 8 30 a.m. by 9:30 a.m. I was finally called up to receive back my ID and insurance card and was given paperwork to fill out for the new system. I was not even in que and almost all the other patients had been seen at this point. I informed the staff that I had planned for 2 hours of block time for this event and that at 10:30 I would need to leave, to which I inquired "this does not seem to be a capability of yours at this time?" To which the administrative assistant said, "that I would be cutting it close." All they could offer me with a 4pm appointment for the same day. Given I have paid all my bills on time, and followed all the requirements of this Clinic, I do feel quite shorted, given the circumstance. I can hardly believe it took them 1 hour to hand me paperwork to fill out and that they could not process me within 2 hours considering by the time that I had gotten the paperwork there was only two couples left. They will have to offer me a large discount for me to return for this in fraction of my person. read more

The staff is top notch. I have been coming here for 7 years,and I am satisfied after every visit. The wait times can be a bit long, but it is a walk in clinic. Average time to get trough is one hour. It has been longer during the sick season. It's conveniently located next to Kroger which has a pharmacy. They have their own pharmacy too. Nice small waiting room with tv on for your entertainment. Always seems very clean with a restroom located in the lobby. This is my number one go to place unless it's Sunday they are closed on Sunday. They also take appointments so you won't have to wait as long. read more

This place is by far the best doctors office I have been to in Tennessee. They're nice, they care, they listen. I have incredible anxiety about going to a doctor and they made me feel great about going. I have health insurance that they don't accept but I keep going there as self pay just because I don't want to go anywhere else. And it's close to home! HUGE plus! I don't get out of the house much and the fact that this is right down the road lessens my anxiety even more. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE! read more
