I found the previous review to be the exact opposite of my interactions with Mendy Hicks N.P she has listened to all of my complaints, made referrals where appropriate. My only complaint is that I would like to meet the supervising physician just to get the opportunity to see the person that is ultimately responsible for my medical care.

I receive a written report of our discussion and any plans going forward so I don't leave feeling like I need a medical dictionary. Brittany is amazing also. She is always friendly and can get my blood draw done with one stick. I love having a doctor who can address all my concerns and doesn't have me waiting for hours for a 15 minute check over. I always feel like my concerns are addressed and I'm confident in what we are doing as a team. Then proceeded to bill her Medicare for full physical and want her to pay for this type of treatment. Others mention it but you honestly feel like a number and a problem more than a patient. They honestly do not give a single f*$^ and it shows in their patient care.

We struggled finding a…read more Primary Care Physician for check-ups; physicals and occasional winters colds and what appeared to be minor ailments. Many walk in clinics have wonderful nurses but the turnover in their employees is continual-which hinders good service. We were referred to Dr. Hopkins and his staff and it was just what we needed. They are located right off the square downtown Murfreesboro in an older but very neat building. Our family has seen Dr. Hopkins on occasion and also his PA's and nurses-they are all very thorough, professional and kind. They have either always taken care of us or referred us on to a specialist when our case warranted. The front office staff are polite and always ready to answer questions. When our private insurance was cancelled by BCBS and like thousands had to scramble for health insurance- we made sure our new coverage was a policy that Dr. Hopkin's practice accepted. Multiple other children went back who arrived after me, which was frustrating. I was told by the front office staff that I was welcome to reschedule my appointment, after waiting an hour with my toddler and newborn, or I could wait, but they did not know how long it would be. I waited another 30 minutes with literal tears streaming down my face as I'm rocking my screaming newborn who's literally starving because she doesn't have any milk due to the long wait time. I was offered formula from the back, which is actually a kind offer, however my child doesn't take that formula. I never imagined the wait would be that long and I would need a second bottle. Multiple sick children came in and were coughing and sneezing in the tiny, and albeit dirty, waiting room. There is no separate area for well kids/people to sit so you are forced to share space with unwell children as well, which is not common in practices now days. I was very excited about finding this practice because it's closer to my home and also my younger daughter had her visit there the day before and the wait time was under 10 minutes. I was shocked with the outcome of today's events, especially since there was no explanation other than "we have multiple bookings to fit everyone in". I don't feel it's fair for me and my toddler and infant to sit waiting for 1.5 hours for providers to double book themselves. I will be reaching out to management to see how this can be rectified to not happen again. My review is edited to show my experience and will be updated after speaking with management.
