Once I got connected with a carrier, my car made it across the country in under a week from Maryland to California with no issues. I'm a meticulous person and I made a largish purchase for a car so I even checked the carrier that he found for me, and they had sufficient miles logged and insurance on file, all of which gave me an extra peace of mind. It had been 8 years since my last shipment so I had lost the contact to the last provider, and went with this due to Yelp reviews and being local. What a mistake. Comms were very poor. Dates came and went. It's two weeks since the pickup date with nothing. Spoke last week and was told a driver was identified and pickup would happen this weekend. Nothing. Never get a call back. Took my deposit and nothing. When thinking about though the overall price was reasonable the breakdown was wrong. Deposit was three times what I had previously paid on deposit but the driver portion was the same.

With Patriot, communication was stellar throughout. After I submitted a quote request online, I received an email back within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote. I had a couple of questions and the rep (Allison) was great. She even suggested putting some extra information in the notes about where to do the pick-up and drop-off (something that was completely messed up by the other company). On the day of the pickup, the driver texted me to let me know exactly when he would be there (the other company messed that up too). We talked about the best place to do the pickup and he went to the place that I suggested (the other company insisted on an illegal and dangerous location even though I told them there was a safer and legal spot just around the corner). I asked the Patriot driver to give me his best estimate on the drop off date because I needed to book a flight. He told me he would text me after picking up the other the cars. And he did!!! He arrived on the date he said he would. He texted me about where he thought he could do the drop off and I was able to suggest a better location within walking distance of my house. In short, they did everything they promised, with excellent communication throughout. I will never use anyone else.

After reading horrible reviews and stories all of the Internet, about so many different carriers, we finally was given LG Motorsports as a reference from a friend who had experience using them. At this point, I think having that reference is all we needed so we booked the transport. Surprisingly, they were very easy to work with and provided a date for car pickup. This all happened within a day after I placed the order. Then the day come and right on time, Edgar, arrives with the transport, extremely clean and tiddy. He greeted us and explained the whole process from start to finish. He spent a lot of time paying attention to all of the details and carefully documenting and taking pictures of the vehicle to capture any level of damange. After this was complete, he carefully drove the vehicle into the transport and then he spent over 20 mins tying down the vehicle so it doesn't move during transport. 4 Days later, the vehicle arrives and without a single mark on the vehicle. We moved up our pickup date to be more flexible but I had to call multiple times to make sure they met our deadline. All the brokers that you request quotes from all tell you how simple and sure they can do it for X price. I got multiple quotes and Ship a Car Direct came back with the lowest one. We were quoted $1300 for an open carrier. The final cost ended up being $1700 which was fine but it just seemed like they low balled to get your business but then the reality is they have to up the price or they can't find someone to accept the car and actually pick it up. I'm happy the carrier that picked up our car did a great job in transporting it. I hope to never have to ship another car again, though.
