Anyways, we tried the Pumpkin soup instead and it was really good! I was pleasantly surprised how full I was after the soup but it was very thick. The soup was topped with some fresh herbs, cauliflower and roasted nuts and came with two small pieces of bread on the side. The soup was very tasty and a decently sized portion but I would have never paid full price for it (85kr). The 2-for-1 deal was a good way to try the soup but unfortunately I don't think I'll get it again because of the price. I may go back to try the salads instead because many people around us had them and they looked amazing (and were around the same price as the bowl of soup). The cafe entrance is a little hard to find at first, but just go around the corner into the little alley way and you'll see the door on the side. Inside there are quite a few seats and the lighting is somewhat dim so it feels very cosy inside.

Then I think Protein-Baren might be the place for you. The shop is currently a mom and son stop, where Frank is in front taking orders and his sweet mother is sweating behind the scenes putting together delicious high protein wraps and sandwiches. They have a fancy app that's coming out in August so you can order your food ahead of time so you don't have to wait to eat (and even if you don't do that, the wait's not very long), but I highly recommend unloading for a while (bonus points if you're unwinding after some heavy squats) and hanging out while you eat: it's quite *hyggeligt* inside.

There are few features I really liked and I think they need to be mentioned. - you basically make your order on an iPad. There are portions with vegetables, proteins, sauces, bread, salads, toppings... - I really loved the idea relating to pull ups. Every pull up you make, earns you a 1% discount on your order. I got 50% discount! Well only because of Yelps special week deal, not because of pulls up :) - I also found their coffee interesting. It was something new for me- The system is Growers cup. Its basically bag with coffee, where you just add hot water and than you wait 3-6 minutes and than you can pour. One bag is for two cups (people). Price was 30 Dkk, which was not so bad - at the end I have to mention the bathroom, which is for Danish standard, quite huge and really stylish. Because of that, I had been actively avoiding 42Raw which was one of the frontrunners when the raw food diet swept over Copenhagen a few years ago. Until this past Saturday, that is. We were at Frederiksbergcenteret and looking for some lunch. Choices there are a bit slim (it's not that big a mall), limited to a bakery, a Joe & The Juice, Paleo, and 42Raw. It was basically the Battle of the Celebrity Diet out there. And seeing as I don't count bacon as a vegetable, we ended up on 42Raw rather than Paleo. They seem to have loosened up on their original concept, that nothing was heated above 42 degrees celsius (the main idea in raw food and the origin of the number '42' in their name), a bit. Their menu now counts both pizza and burgers, though everything is vegetarian/vegan. I opted for their pizza slice and salad combo, and holy guacamole, Batman! The pizza was the portobello mushroom version, and a salad with broccoli and pear, and both were excellent. All vegan, well-made, jammed-pack with flavour, and very filling. My better half had the avocado and hummus sandwich, and that seemed to be a hit, too. My side limonade and the cocoa and date smoothie were great, too, in particular the smoothie, which tasted so creamy and sinful that you'd almost expect a call from your doctor! So yes, I'm convinced. And I'll most likely be back, here or in their other outlet in downtown Copenhagen. I'll just pretend the '42' is a reference to the answer to the great question of life, the universe and everything.

Fairly cheap and easy dinner of a chicken wrap (the wrap is made out of egg and coconut flour) and a beet/celery/carrot juice and this girl is a happy camper with a happy belly. A fantastic alternative to other comparable meals in the area which are twice as expensive and ten times as unhealthy. It's a damn shame that neither the Palæo in Torvehallerne, nor the one here on Pilestræde, are close to my house. I would probably come here daily, if that were the case. Pro-tip: they sell low carb pastries here, like coconut muffins, nut breads, and various other paleo friendly snacks if you need a treat on the run and are trying to resist visiting Lagkagehuset.

Sometimes that's all it takes if you're having a bad day. I have to say that the service here gave me that feeling. The lady working there--I guess the owner, Rikki, judging by someone's photo--was very sweet and accommodating, was checking up on us to make sure we were OK/liked our food, and just generally made me feel very welcome and happy to be there. For me, this really makes the difference when there are plenty of great cafes to choose from in Copenhagen. (Also, I would definitely want to feel this way about someone who was going to be helping me cleanse my body using juice.) So, not necessarily the place to grab a super fast coffee and zip off, as there was only one person at work, but I really appreciate the local feel, emphasis on fresh food, and very importantly the availability of lactose-free milk options! Shout out here to the alternative milks, homemade on-site. If you're not on friendly terms with lactose, like me, you've got plenty of options here. I tried cashew and sesame milk, both great and very mild tasting alternative milks. They are also unsweetened--love that. Drinks can be sweetened if that's your thing, though. I would love to try their coconut milk at some point. And finally: thanks for having real matcha! Definitely worth a return trip in my book.

Anyway, nice simple design with some nice small details. We went there about 10. We ordered breakfast. All together we tried to order every single item from the breakfast (brunch) menu. Basically all items were very tasty and original. I loved the Matcha bowl (Matcha is a special green tea powder and here it was mixed with puréed avocado, banana, cashew milk and vanilla). Really unique. I'm always on the hunt for something unique and I found it in here. Added value in my perspective! So I recommend that you should definitely try that. I would like to mention also the healthy apple cake, which is not really apple cake at all, but it tasted excellent and I'm happy they didn't use too much sweetener. For a drink, we all ordered a flat white coffee. It was perfectly done and they add little art on the top. 4 coffees, 4 perfect hearts. It show a confident barista hand. Speaking about service- all servers were all very friendly, efficient and they perfectly knew their product. That's the key of success.
