Mark McComie likes to commit insurance fraud, he charge me for fillings on my #8 & #9 tooth when all he did was actually polish my teeth when I first came to him. Then he filed claims with my insurance company saying he filled my #8 tooth when all he did was throw desensitizer on my tooth because he overfiled my #8 tooth when he was in the process of filling my #7 tooth. And when he filed it down too much he made it sensitive (I didn't know was as sensitive until the numbing wore off) I verified this with his assistant while I was there that day because I felt it. So I took pictures of it when I got to my car and also when I got home so that I can have evidence to prove to Mark that he actually did file over on my #8 tooth But when I came to him with this information after a couple of weeks he tried to claim he didn't do it and that he runs and "HONEST COMPANY" and then he said he would fix it, well he quickly threw some desensitizer on it very sloppy, it took him less than a minute but in the process of polishing my tooth he chipped my #8 but I didn't know he did it until about a week later. When I felt it I thought it was just excess agent left on the tooth, but what makes him so horrible is he knew he did it and didn't tell me. You have to be a real horrible dentist to know you damaged someone teeth and not say anything, unless you purposely damaged that person's tooth. I don't know if he's a racist or he don't care how he treats people. Your not a good Dentist if you have to deleted all negative reviews on Google to make yourself look good. We all need to report this scam artist to get him shut down.

When I went in it was not busy and not once did the Dentist ask how my day was or anything about me. This Suprised me coming from my previous dentist and being related to dentists that say making a connection is the first thing you want to do with your customer to show you care. Instead I was told there was no other option even though I've had the same repairs done through using gel instead of injections. Which injections are more expensive then the alternative. Instead of giving options they gave the option and said I could leave and go back to the dentist I had before. Not only was it the environment but it my tooth that got fixed had to have an extension which they chose a shade of yellow instead of white. Now I am stuck with a paper two shades darker extension. The assistants and coordinators made up for it with the environment and atmosphere they created however. The main dentist felt like what we call in the business world an "energy vampire". These people suck the energy out of every situation. I do not see how this could be called a family dentistry with these things happening.

They were a great dentist office initially until I needed a major procedure. So, having many…read moresignificant dental issues throughout my life I ALWAYS ask for an insurance preauthorization, meaning the dentist office confirms benefits with the insurance company prior to starting any work to avoid any surprises. I was told we did this, I signed the estimate (told it was an insurance preauthorization) and we did the work. Six months later I received another large bill for the work, on top of the nearly $1,000 deductible I paid at the outset. It turns out the dentist DID NOT get a preauthorization for the work and I am now stuck with the excess bill. They did say "sorry" and said they would note that in the future we would always get pre-authorization for major work (too little, too late especially when I was told they did this), but, unfortunately, I am on the hook for the full short amount since it was only an estimate. Estimate I understand, big mistake caused by cutting corners at your customers expense, I will not accept. So now I am in for around $1,200 out of a $1,900 procedure. To be honest, I most likely would have shopped the procedure around other local dentist, delayed the work, or sought an alternative since $1,200 is not a small chunk of change. However the biggest problem now is that I no longer trust the dentist to do what they promise they will do and I can no longer trust them to be honest rather than cut corners at their customers expense. Unfortunately for them, I hold honesty and integrity to be some of the most important factors in dealing with a business, especially anything medical/dental since they are extremely important to my health and well-being, and wallet! In addition, while on the phone with the insurance company to dispute their underfunded insurance payment, I had to eat crow and apologize (for claiming they were committing fraud for stating they would cover said portion and then short paying) when they informed me that they never received a preauthorization and their portion was in line with our insurance policy. I was admittedly short and terse with them since I truly believed I had a preauthorization. That was a 45 minute, back and forth waste of time, where the poor agent was subjected to me accusing them of pre-authorizing a procedure they would never cover in the first place (at least to the extent the dentist said they would). BEWARE WHEN CHOOSING THIS DENTIST AS THEY MAY NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO!

Because of that, Dr. Ankar actually came in on his day off specifically to evaluate what was going on. During that visit, he identified issues developing around two fillings I already had and made sure I was scheduled quickly to get everything taken care of. Today's visit was just as seamless. They are incredibly respectful of your time. The wait is minimal, they run on schedule, and you're not left sitting around wondering what's going on. That level of consideration alone sets them apart. From the moment you walk in, the tone is set perfectly. Tracie at the front desk is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. On the way out, she made sure everything was handled smoothly, and it's honestly refreshing to experience that level of customer service when so many places have let that standard slip. Megan was absolutely phenomenal. She has such a calming presence and takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. You can tell she truly cares about the patient experience, not just going through the motions. Her attention to detail, her professionalism, and the way she makes you feel completely at ease genuinely elevate the entire visit. She's a huge part of why the experience feels so comfortable and positive. Dr. Ankar, as always, was exceptional. He's steady, reassuring, and clearly very skilled. Everything was handled efficiently, and I felt completely confident in his care from start to finish. What means the most to me is this: I've been a patient here since 2017, and before that, I went nearly 19 years without seeing a dentist. I was absolutely terrified my entire life of going. Walking into that first appointment at 42 years old, I carried a lot of fear and embarrassment with me. From that very first visit, Dr. Ankar and his team completely changed that for me. Not once have I ever been made to feel ashamed. Instead, they made me feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. I'm 51, and that fear I carried for decades? Gone. I've gone to highly rated dentists while living in California and will say Dr. Deena shaped two beautiful veneers that are far superior. They are perfect in shape and color while still looking very natural, unlike many veneers that lack that variance in color of natural teeth. She's an artist! Their dental assistant, Kendyll, is also highly competent and friendly. Donna in the front office is always so lovely to chat with and is on top of all the billing and insurance dealings. They are in network with my insurance so mostly everything is covered. Twice they have tried to make me pay like a copay in the system because of how something was fixed in the system but both times my issue was resolved with no problem. I live in Atlanta now but I still choose to come here sometimes when I'm in town. I just call and see if they have availability and they get me through the door. They are very informative and helpful. I also went through them to get my wisdom teeth removed before my braces got too far along. The process was smooth and my insurance didn't cover it all so they helped me do a payment plan. Also they are helping me transfer to the office in Atlanta near me with no problem. Lastly the staff is very nice and answer any questions you have.
