If I'm being honest this was my first time eating at a Hooters even though I've drank at Hooters before. Their wings are definitely underrated because they were seasoned and juicy, I just wish they were fried a little harder. They also brought the wrong wings out first and had to make more. However the fried shrimp wasn't good at all, no seasoning, lightly fried with such a thin coat that you could see the whole shrimp through the breading. My fries came out super cold and had to be taken back. The drinks were both really bad and watered down and the nachos while the cheese sauce was good there was such a small amount in comparison to the chips that it didn't make sense. (Even the small amount of chicken they could've removed half of the chips and it might not have evened out still). We had to order more and still didn't have enough. The ratio was all off. Our server was training so we got the short end of the stick that night and it was a bit disappointing. This location is usually very good. However, on my most recent visit, it was kind of bad. The food, which they said is better with the new ownership, gave my a very bad stomach ache. I think it's now too greasy. The service was okay, not bad, but definitely not as good as it has been in the past. The ambiance was not as good as in the past. Service was terrible. Slow and incorrect on most of the order. The food tasted pretty good for the most part, but the Daytona wings were burnt on one side and ungrilled on the other instead of being evenly grilled. When I say burnt, I mean black charred burnt. Bacon on burger was burnt to a crisp. Ordered two orders of mozzarella sticks. First one came out with marinara that was obviously old and burnt. So this was my second visit to this exact Hooters. I've been to many of them throughout Fort Myers, Naples, Las Vegas, New Mexico, etc and I love hooters food and atmosphere. This hooters in Savannah is gross. It's very dirty and on this visit the AC wasn't working and I just read a review on yelp from 29 days ago where they said the AC wasn't working at that time. UNACCEPTABLE! I almost lost my appetite it's so nasty. I feel very bad for the girls working in this disgusting environment because ultimately it impacts their customer base and finances as well. I would never recommend this place. Take a look at the photos. One sever attempting to cool herself down, a window sill extremely dirty looking like it hadn't been cleaned in months, the mini kitchen area smelled terrible from our seats and was dirty, and even the main sign outside in disrepair. I don't know who's fault it is but whoever owns this place needs to put money and time into fixing it up or I hope they close down because it's a complete embarrassment to the Hooters franchise. Now on to the food, the boneless wings and buffalo shrimp that we get every single time we visit a hooters was edible at this location. However, it does not taste like any other hooters at all. My family and I were traveling to FL when we stopped at this hooters. Our wonderful server was Alexis. My son ordered the steamed shrimp, my husband boneless wings and I got the regular wings. However, I forgot to say that I wanted them "naked". This was totally MY mistake and I knew it the second I saw them. I explained that I screwed up and if she could please just drop a new order for me. It wasn't until I got the check that I realized that she didn't charge me for the first batch (that my bottomless pit of a son happily ate anyways). The food was great, the service was incredible. I honestly enjoyed going to Hooters and it wasn't for the waitresses, as the girls at the competitors these days can be dressed the same. I actually enjoyed Hooters for their wings, other food, and ample televisions. This particular Hooters is in a weird location, on the non- busy side of a freeway off ramp. My friends and myself got an Uber to the restaurant so we could let down our hair only to find we were allowed 2 doubles and 3 singles, however, a double is only a 2 oz pour not a true double. In the restroom near the overflowing trash can there was a sign advertising their free Uber ride home. I asked about the program and was told that is only if you are so drunk you cannot walk and then you are banned from all hooters across the nation per the manager. So this hooters would be a great place for a bible study or child's birthday party but not so much a nice place to watch a game with your padnuhs.
