I still remember my first trip to Hooters; It was 1993, I was in Baltimore for a convention and our group decided to try Hooters. The wings were greasy, the service was poor...I think we drank 2 pitchers of beer before the waitress remembered that she completely forgot to put our food order in, but we had a lot of fun and it was a great atmosphere with lots of photos, sports memorabilia and other stuff hanging from the walls. Of course, the waitresses that the place is named in honor of were there in full force, and it was a gimmicky restaurant that people were flocking to in droves. Little has changed over the years and the Doral location is more of the same...Exact same "uniforms" for the waitresses, a bunch of stuff mounted and hanging everywhere, it's usually packed, and it's an OK place to meet friends for a beer and some wings. The food isn't anything to write home about... After you finish a plate of wings, you can see how much grease and strange, clear/orange fluid they were swimming in, your gas smells like Hooters wings for a day after you've eaten here, the sandwiches are usually covered in cheeses, and nearly everything is greasy, deep fried and unhealthy. However, people are still flocking here, 'cause it's all about the atmosphere and the gimmick is still selling. read more

We (3) ordered chicken wings and the "lots-of-tots" (basically loaded tots w/ bacon, sour cream, & cheese). I personally ordered the naked chicken wings with the habanero BBQ sauce. We first sat outside but this location allowed smoking out there (maybe all do and I'm naive but...) which was disappointing. We moved inside. The tots were fine (nacho cheese, etc.) I just wouldn't say there were lots of them. Good by me but we split them between 3 so I guess "lots" is subjective. It's a decent size app for one person. My naked wings were disappointing. The sauce was on point though, spicy and sweet. The wings were just... not worth a buck a piece and not really worth going out of our way for (for a place famed for wings). All I was thinking was to dash out of there. I ate my wings, drank the last drip of my Yuengling & left. I like the interior though. It's like that old school bar centric seating with a tiny bar. This building is ok, parking lot a little small but there is always space available. There is no hostess or wasn't one when I went, had to chase an employee to ask about seating options. Customer service is horrible, they bring your order incorrect, add more charges to your check and force you to pay. Manager Daniel Munne shouldn't be in a position that deals with customers. His lacks of customer service, listening and basically management skills. He is rude, arrogant and does not respect senior citizens. Our order was incorrect because a mistake made by one of their waitresses. I had to request a check review and Manager Daniel Munne came to our table, not wearing name tag, not introducing himself just attacking us about the order, he didn't explained the issue just added the incorrect order to the check and basically I was forced to pay because my 80 year old mother was upset about the situation and this "manager" just escalated more the issue. Not recommended this location there are other places in the area that are similar but customer service is better. read more

To be disappointed in service and food is crazy. Been to every Hooters in South Florida and this is by far the worst. Josie the outdoor bartender seemed miserable to be alive. Continuously absent and not a single smile. I'm not one to tip zero so I did leave a tip. wow, wings were burnt and definitely the worst ones I've had at any Hooters anywhere. You can never go wrong with hooters! Here is my tip if you like boneless chicken wings... GO ON WEDNESDAYS! On Wednesdays, for under ten bucks.. you get ten boneless wings AND curly fries! Unbeatable deal and boy are they delicious. I have dragged a few of my friends there now on Wednesdays and no-one has been disappointed yet! I was so excited to come here and try the wings, until I saw my plate of wings -_- Terrible! I ordered boneless wings with medium sauce. Usually when you order wings, the sauce is on top of the wings...this was not the cause. The sauce was extremely oily and in the bottom of the plate. The sauce even made the wings soggy. The bread from the wings was coming out. If this stayed on my table for at least 2 more seconds, I would have naked boneless wings...literally. I got there and was told I had to place my to go order at the bar..ok...the bar was very loud with music tvs and drunk folks speaking loudly. Lauren the waitress gave us a HORRIBLE service! We wasted two hours waiting to eat and only to be given cold and greasy food. She was too busy attending everyone (all the men) that was seated inside. We requested our appetizer and main course to arrive together but instead she brought us the main course first then the appetizers. I have been going to this Hooters over 10 years. My daughter worked there for a while during college. Boy, how things have changed! Today we went and said we'd sit outside the hostess said to go ahead a sit wherever. Didn't even look for a place for us. We found sitting by the bar. The girl at the bar said someone would be with us soon. It took a while. Then the girl that came was super rude and left some plates. It took another while. The girl in the bar saw that we had nothing to drink and she came over and took our drink order, which was wrong by the way. She asked if the waiter had been with us I said not yet. She took our order which consisted of fried pickles and Chicken wings. 20 minutes past, pickles came delivered by what I believe was the manager. He placed the plate and didn't even address us., we ate them and no chicken wings. They just never came. On the 45 minute mark we decided we would leave. We went to the bar and told the bar tender to charge us for 2 beers and an unsweetened ice tea and pickles and that we were leaving. She said she would talk to the manager. She came back with a receipt and we left. It was absolutely strange. Every single worker was rude to us. After all that not even an apology. We made many great memories at that Hooters with the family for games in that place through the years. I asked her more than once to bring dishes and forks since she had brought us the food first.
