This is the second time we came to this Hooters and the second time we were told there was an hour wait to sit outside. But no wait inside. Makes no sense. So I was curious and walked inside and seen waiters and waitresses standing around. So I went up to the manager and asked why an hour wait and he responded we don't have enough staff outside. So why not take some of your staff I side that's standing around and out them outside. Their was 6 tables empty and 7 tables that sat there dirty for the 30 we waited. He finally seated us and brought 2 people out. We finally asked to have the tables cleaned around us before our food came. This place was a hot mess., dirty, staff standing around. My girlfriend and I decided to finally try out this Hooters location since we love the Gulf to Bay location and wanted to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting this location offered. Sadly we were very disappointed with this Hooters visit. The Manager on duty was awesome by quickly clearing off a table by the water for us and getting us sat promptly. Sadly we were never greeted by any of the three servers working that section. Numerous times the servers looked in our direction but never once greeted us. After 15 minutes of no greet we decided to leave and try another restaurant on the boardwalk. As we walked out one of the Servers looked right at us and rolled her eyes, which as a prior Corporate Restaurant Manager is absolutely disrespectful to do at a Guest . We did inform the Manager as we were leaving of our situation and he tried to make it right, but by then we were not interested in staying anymore. I want to stress again that the Manager was awesome, but sadly his staff did not hold the same level of professionalism. Maybe we will try this location again at a different time but for now we will keep enjoying our other location in Clearwater. read more

I just don't get all the hoopla about going here...oh right it's the girls! Every year we come to this area, my husband likes to come here because he says the burgers are fab. I never know what to get because frankly I have had the fish tacos; terrible, and their boneless wings..ehh I have had better, and I'm trying to really like the food but I'm disappointed when I come here. My husband likes the burgers which I have had before, but truly for this place to stand out, besides the girls, they really need to get some better chefs and improve their food. This rating is mostly for the wings I ordered, they just aren't good at all. Went on a chilly Wednesday night and the place was not busy at all. Service was fine. I got the boneless wings because they have a special on Wednesdays. I got medium and 9-1-1 and you'd think they didn't have any sauce on them! From what I hear however this is just the way hooters does their sauce. It's a very oil based sauce and they put it on incredibly light it was very deceiving whether or not they actually put sauce on it. But again from what I hear this isn't just this location. The actual wings aren't bad they are comparable to chick-fil-a nuggets. If you know hooters then this location is the same as any with a decent view. read more

I try not to rank any restaurants low right now, because I understand they're facing a lot of changes due to COVID! Unfortunately, we just had a very bad experience here! Our waitress was very indifferent and inattentive. We didn't want to ask for anything because she made it feel like we were bothering her! She also told us a pitcher of beer was only $9, it took 20 minutes for us to get it, and when we got the check it was $15. We definitely felt the experience we had was not worth the money we paid. Due to Covid the seating inside was full capacity so we were seated outside, definitely would have preferred to be inside due to the heat and birds begging for food. But we were seated right away, and the drinks weren't that bad! Wings are what you expect nothing special but the fries were probably the worse I've had ever. My family and I had a good meal here with excellent service. The beer could have been colder, but they did have a decent selection. We got the tater tot and fried pickles for appetizers, they were brought out quickly and were very good. Then we moved on to wings, my wife and I got bone-in hot, they were excellent. My daughter got boneless mild, she said they weren't seasoned very well and lacked flavor. This was the only reason for the four stars, but overall it was a good meal with good service. read more

Wish I did not have to give any stars. We are local residents who live in area and have given this place a few chances, but we will never be back. Asked for our usual double-dipped wings and got undercooked, soggy wings first time. The very friendly waitress attempted to have cooks try again only to bring out the same skimpy, soggy non-double dipped wings again 20 mins later. The bad management of this place over charges for this highly traffic'd tourist spot and forgets all about quality of food all together. Ordered Togo food from here, got a side salad had more toppings than lettuce (which wasn't much of anything) boneless wings which were rock hard and cold. You know what to expect when you go to a Hooters. The service was good, the beers were cold, my wife noted that her Bloody Mary was one of the best she's ever tasted and the food came out hot and delicious. There weren't a ton of options on the menu but again you know you aren't going to a place with custom options when you're coming to a place like this. We had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Madeira Beach Hooters located on the John's Pass Boardwalk next to Friendly Fisherman's Restaurant, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, and Pirate's Pub & Grub. The Madeira Beach Hooters offers beautiful waterfront views of John's Pass, Eleanor Island, the John's Pass Sandbar boat party, John's Pass Marina, and Gators Waterfront Restaurant on Treasure Island. We visited this Hooters on the day of the John's Pass Seafood Festival when the entire Johns Pass Boardwalk was over-run by tourists. Surprisingly, this Hooters handled the crowds better than most other restaurants in the area and was able to seat us and serve us some drinks without any wait time! We managed to get 3 seats by the bar and were able to get drinks in under 3 minutes. Although this Hooters was in the tourist-trap central, otherwise known as John's Pass Boardwalk, with amazing views, they did not price gauge and actually had some awesome drink specials including $2.50 Bud lights and $3 Aluminum bottles of brews. Hooters also has top notch Margaritas! Their drink specials run Monday night, Thursday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday! This Madiera Beach Hooters offers the best views of any Hooters that I've ever been to with a huge wrap-around waterfront deck. There is covered seating on the deck for those who are sensitive to the sun and also seating in the sun for those wishing to get a tan. For a beach themed tie-in, this Hooters had benches made of Hooters branded surf boards and a "World's Largest Wing" hanging from a hook like a Shark. There is even a sign claiming the wing was over 1000 lbs lol. Service was quick and courteous! I have had the grilled fish tacos, burger, and thai spiced wings naked (non-breaded here) in the past from here and they've both been great! If you have never visited this area, you owe it to yourself to check it out! There are plenty of TV's here which is perfect for watching football or any live sports. The views are incredible! Spending the weekend at the beach & thought we'd start the beginning of our fun with dinner at Hooters....well our server was super sweet, never argued, or got fussy despite the group & varying personalities & mistakes with orders....but our food took forever! We could have plucked our own chicken for the wings & caught the fish ourselves & cooked it & it would've been quicker! My moms fish took so long they removed it from the bill....service was hmmmm a 1 out of 1-5 at best, I understand we were a group of 9 but there's few people there so if ur going to add the 18% charge to the bill at least earn it! The first drink ordered Mojito-tasted like sweet sprite was horrible then replacement a Corona, was just a beer & got a light versus what was ordered a regular, "what are u trying to say" lol then knowing when u close most people would ask would u like another beer before we close, no not here, instead our table was told sorry we close at 11 I can bring u water...but then we got no water either....best part was nobody was happy with the food either, it was mediocre at best....so none of us care to return. I took my friend and his wife out to this Hooters location yesterday for a Memorial Day lunch. As I've always been a fan of Hooters wings, I was not a fan of the service. Upon arriving, our server didn't even introduce herself, nor seem personable at all. We were served incorrect drinks based on our orders, and didn't even get an apology. My friend's wife asked for blue cheese for her wings, and was served with ranch. She asked our server again to correct it, and got nothing but attitude. We asked for the manager, and he wasn't even apologetic. The food was great, however I'm more prone to continually visit a restaurant that has great service over the quality of the food. I've been to the original Hooters in Clearwater so I'd thought I'd try this place that was closer to my hotel. What a mistake! First, the directions via Yelp are totally wrong. Second, the area is overcrowded, requiring metered parking. Finally, it's hidden on the 3rd floor with no signage or directory of restaurants around. Today it's a balmy 53 and breezy yet the only seating was outdoors. The was no Hostess around, just 3 girls working and the inside seating and bar were closed. Me advice is to stay away from this place, even if you like Hooters. read more

Watched the bridge rise and everything! Now our waitress was not good at all, she was very nice but spilling a drink all over me and then us finding a hair in our food was a little too much. This is the first time I've complained about food. I ordered a cuban sandwich, it came out cold and the fries were like rubber. I asked if they could heat it up for me and she brought out a new sandwich. As I took a bite, I almost vomited at the table. I opened the sandwich to find rancid smelling, spoiled pork. It smelt as if something died in my sandwich and the scent was making people around us nauseous. I don't know if the chef was mad I asked it to be reheated or if he is clueless to food standards. So me, my son, and my boyfriend went to Joh's Pass on Labor Day and rented some jet skis. Afterwards we of course were hungry. We decided to go to Hooters and get some wings and hang out for a bit. Our waitress was great. We each ordered our own wings, we also order two orders of fries. I guess Hooters now has food runners, so they brought out my son and my boyfriend's order, but not mine. I thought ok they will go back and grab mine. Well I sat there for about 10 mins, then our waitress came over and realized I did not have my order. She goes and grabs mine, and there is only 6 wings not the 10 I ordered. She said they were making them and she would bring them right out. So I started on the order I had and after eating two of them I realized they were extremely spicy and I ordered teriyaki which isn't suppose to be spicy at all. I asked the waitress when she brought me the other half of my order if the one I had were correct. She looked at them and said no those were the spicy kind. She handled the situation really well, but I think the runners need to check the orders they are bringing out and the cooks need to watch the order they are making. read more

Decided to go to hooters on Memorial Day because a couple of us wanted oysters. Arrived at 410 and was seated by 430, waitress came over at 435 and we all asked for water. 5:00 comes and still no water! We go up to a manager and complain and he assigns a new waitress and we finally received our water at 5:15. 40 minutes waiting just for water?! 5:20 she takes our order, comes back out at 530 and says they are out of oysters!!! I order buffalo shrimp instead, food comes out at 6:00. Buffalo shrimp come plain without being tossed in sauce. Overall this is my worst experience ever at a hooters. Manager never apologized, he was busy flirting with the waitresses. On top of all the "waiting" we get charged 1$ ever 30 minutes in the parking garage! read more

Went here yesterday. Last night on a long weekend staycation on the gulf. It is a tradition to go to John Pass. Since it was a very busy Saturday night most restaurants had a 1 hour wait. We kept looking & thought Hooters for something other than fish. Besides we had a 4 year old wanting wings. The reason for the 2 stars. Told it would be a 35 minute wait - yeah (3 children total who were hungry). Once groups near our size were seated who arrived after us we asked. Informed 15 more minutes for inside, this be the 'manager'. Once the 15 minutes passed we questioned again. Informed with an attitude ' they are slow & not leaving. If you want an outside table you can have that one.' Server came took drink orders and food orders, and we waited. Saw this server bring food & drinks to the tables sat after us & we had a view of the bar from our table and our drinks were sitting almost 10 minutes. Then one meal came out, no utensils, no drinks. Another meal came out, no utensil no drinks & 3 children wanting a drink or food. Asked the server who brought the second meal 'could we at least have utensils?' Nothing. Finally drinks came, then our server arrived with utensils. Then our food. We were waiting about 45 minutes for drinks, meals and utensils - really. We understand a 7 top will take time. The children should have gotten their drinks & food First & maybe water for the adults. Finally we were all served. We ate our food - mine, burger was tasty but fries cold. Could not eat them. One of our party informed the server she was on a time crunch, could she have her bill. Waited then took another 10 minutes before the server took the bill. She even refilled one of the child's drinks and 2 used the restroom. Finally the rest of us got our bills. The reason for the 2 stars - burger was good and they comped my drink, all our drinks. Unfortunately 2 managers were watching the area. Not sure if this is a corporate or franchised store. Which ever, they need to look at how they treat their customers or are vacationing family not worth your time? Personally this was my first time ever at Hooters and most likely my last. read more
