I had the wings. I requested them to be extra crispy and they were done perfectly. I had the Texas BBQ. They were delicious. I went with a group of friends. There were ten of us and we had a lot of fun. But because there were so many of us the food did not come out the same time and it made eating together impossible. The server was very pleasant and kept apologizing for the delay and tried very hard to make our experience the best she could. I think some of the problems were because they were doing a photo shoot at the restaurant that day . This resulted in a lot of confusion. Overall everything worked out and we plan on returning again. It took the waiter 15 mins to come check in and even ask us for our drink order after being seated. It was not even busy at all. I ordered the original wings with honey sriracha and they barely even had sauce on all of them. Some were dry and had to ask for extra sauce. Not sure why they are stingy with sauce. Walked in with my husband and baby around 11:45 this afternoon (11/19). We waited at the host stand for a minute or two. A HG walked up and brought us to a booth, and I had to ask for a highchair? I have a baby? We can't just squeeze into a booth.. so she takes us to a HIGH top lol. I guess common sense isn't so common. We finally get settled into the low table. She disappears and never returns with a high chair. We sat for a while, with my baby sitting on the table. No one helped us. In the back you could see a bunch of HGs just sitting and talking to each other in a booth. Many HGs walked past us without even looking our way. Went today to celebrate my birthday. On entering, a lot of the waitresses were gathered around I guess was the manager. It was more like a lottery on who had to serve me. Like I had interrupted them. This is the closest location to me, I like to drop by on mondays for the ayce wings and $1 beers from 12-2. I tend to sit at the bar as I'm usually solo. The bar tenders are terrible at conversation. Whenever I visit this location they never even realize what specials they have available so I have to remind them. The wait for the next plate of wings is incredible, as I sit here writing this I am waiting on my second plate and it has been nearly 30 minutes since I ordered. The staff here honestly just does not give a damn about their customers. As I was writing this sitting at the bar the manager apologized and said he was only charging me for the 10 piece instead of the ayce. The bar tenders still continued to do the bare minimum. They have a huge screen television in the bar area. They have patio seating overlooking the lake but I chose to sit inside. Service was great; however, they were out of Shiner Bock so I got a Ziegenbock instead which is equally good. I settled for some 911 shrimp which is generally always awesome and I also got some curly fries which I shouldn't have as they're blah and boring as always. All in all it was a great experience. ALRIGHTY! *fires up Breaking the Law" So some diligent "Yelper" brought my review of this horrific Hooters to the Yelp support teams "attention" as being outside the content guidelines. Not for bad language, not for being nasty or even really anything other than this: "We will try again, first trip the kitchen couldn't figure out how to feed us so we left. Yet to be back, but we will give it a whirl." Apparently I was not insulting enough, or provide enough acidity in my review. Read some of the others, I can be graphic, sometimes use profanity and be an "all-around" arse about my experiences. Son and daughter go mild or medium and the wife gets her buffalo shrimps. Time passes... I ordered a large beer figuring to only have one but I'm darn near done. Kids and wife have already had at least two refills. Appetizer did come out a bit slow but it's long gone, you know, to the point you're picking crumbs out of the bottom? So we ask our server what the delay is and she says, "There a bit behind, it should only be 15 mins"... ok it's already been 15-20 mins and this is Hooters... we're hungry so we wait. I've decided to go for beer #2, because it's warm and I like it with my wings. We ask again, "I'm so sorry, it should just be another 15 mins". Now I'm a bit testy, this is silly... 45 mins for wings at Hooters?? The place wasn't even busy, I might understand if they were slammed and in the weeds. Not such was the case. Another 15-20 mins goes by and I'm almost done with beer #2. Kids are annoyed and bored, we're all getting hungrier and I stop the server again. Almost like a recording, "I'm so sorry, but just another 15-20 mins". I've now had it, my kids have had it and the wife is lets just go. I ask for the manager, this isn't a front of house issue... this is the kitchen in chaos. Friendly gal comes out and I ask for the check and express my complete frustration with the whole situation. She apologizes, I assure her I know it's not her (she was front of house manager) and that they need to get their kitchen in order.
