This review is for Jose or whoever was on shift 05/09/2026 at 0953 for Hooked On Towing Arcadia. Showing up for a Lexux Battery Service that morning. Dispatch was cool, but whoever they hired to do the battery service had zero professionalism. Buddy showed up through AAA and gave attitude over the phone while I was trying to explain confusion with my location. "I just need an address man," then later, "So you are not at the actual location you said you were," with a real make-you-feel-dumb attitude. Dude came for a battery service? Ain't no way I was gonna let him work on my Lexus. He then hung up on me because I checked him for being arrogant and unprofessional, explaining I didn't need the service if he was gonna talk to me that way. Please check your driver. I am disabled, I needed my vehicle towed my mechanic told me to absolutely not to drive my car that if I did, it could blow my engine. Brian refused to drive onto my property where my car was parked. My girlfriend had to drive it to where he told her too she asked him if where she parked it was ok . With saying anything rudely snatched the keys out of her hand and moved it to where I guess he needed it . We met him at the mechanic shop . He drove the car off the tow tow truck while the emergency break was on! Parked the erratically on the shops parking lot. My girlfriend asked can you please park the car straight within the lines he told her here handed her the keys other words do it yourself! She noticed he removed the hub caps she said can you please put those back on he said no you do it ! WTF I KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT to avoid a confrontation! I asked him can you please put them back on I'm disabled I can't walk to good and bend he totally disregarded me ! Is this how this company treats women and disabled people? Avoid using this tow service !!!! I got into a car accident , I almost died , this people towed my car to their yard . I went to get my belongings out of my car and my tools box for work (big box) from the trunk was missing . The guy that towed my car said I couldn't get my things out of the car until I went to the yard . So I get to the yard and my box full of tools worth 300plus$ were missing from the trunk . I guess they really liked my tools . Where are my tools/box? Did they fly out of the the trunk on the way to the yard ?? this people are hilarious they tried to cover up for the towing guy . Saying he worked night shift and that he was out on a meeting for 2 hours because I wanted to talk to him . I told them I was going to wait outside . My service call from AAA was dispatched to Hooked On Towing after a horrible ordeal with the first vendor I was connected to. My car battery unexpectedly gave out while it was raining hard and I was stranded in a parking lot. Jose N. called me within seconds of the service order and was super calming over the phone. He confirmed my location and gave me an estimated ETA. He arrived earlier than expected. Jose was very professional, took the time to diagnose the issue and even explained the issue to me. He gave me great recommendations. Even though he couldn't replace the battery for me, he was able to jump start my car within a few minutes and I was able to drive my car to the dealership to get a new battery. Robert from dispatch was very considerate and helpful. I booked a roadside through AAA, he called to get specific details of my location almost immediately after AAA booked my service with them. The AAA app told me an estimated time of about 57 min but Robert told me it would be more like 30 min, which it was. Driver (my fault I didn't get his name) has Tattoos with 2"/3" stretched ears (sick af btw) and is VERY kind. When he got to our location he reiterated what Robert had already told me over the phone which was that: I was over my covered miles and asked if I was still OK to proceed with the out of pocket cost for the service. I'm grateful he took the time to ask me again to make sure I consented and understood what dispatch said over the phone to avoid miscommunication. He then had dispatch call me again to confirm service before hooking up the truck. His tow was quick, he arrived before we did. Mind you he towed it on a flatbed from Ontario to Anaheim during 5pm traffic on a Friday. He was very considerate. Although, they are unable to place your vehicle in your driveway, for policy purposes, he STILL was super helpful and kind enough to help us PUSH our 4 door F250 Super duty 4x4 into driveway (Not a small and lightweight truck). 10/10 would recommend. read more

Our driver Sal and his assistant arrived promptly, and they were friendly and courteous. Best of all, they had the tools and knowledge to remove our VERY difficult Ford Focus lug nuts after 2 other tech people weren't able to. We've discovered that Ford lug nuts on certain models are a nightmare, so this is next-level skill. Highly recommended! Of all days... my poor car broke down on Christmas eve... I was fortunate that I was just pulling up to my cousin's house so we were able to do our family lunch and gift exchange. After the festivities I contacted Triple A and they deployed Hooked On Towing. To their credit, they arrived quickly considering it was the holidays. When the tower arrived I was very grateful and he asked me what went wrong. I gave him the details on what I had gone through... This is where things we downhill. He asked me the dumbest condescending question I had ever heard, "Did you know your car has the brake on?" DEATH GLARE!! I was straight up like, "Yes I know, I'm not THAT STUPID". I'm not dumb enough to call Triple A and destroy my Christmas Eve. He was like oh I didn't say that. Bro, you might as well have. And honestly even if I WAS that dumb, I had my (guy) cousin and auntie and niece waiting with me. If the only problem was my brakes being on, I sure as heck hope someone would have pointed that out. And note -- He did not check my drivers license or triple A membership. So we proceed with the longest awkward car ride back to my childhood home where I intend to use the rest of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to figure out my next move. My car is over 251,000 in mileage and it wouldn't be logical to pour an obscene amount of money into repairs. More to come on this in future reviews... But when we arrived to the destination, he released my car down in less than helpful position, given that it is having issues. It was not the best angle for me to park my car. Other towers have been more considerate of this in the past. To make it all worst, he said he dislodged this piece from my car and it fell somewhere into the passenger side. WHAT THE HECK!! Why are you touching random stuff you don't need to touch. I could get over the dumb question if he was more helpful dropping off my car and not dislodge things from my car. Like dude, please don't touch things non-relevant to the job at hand. As much as I am grateful they were able to come tow me on Christmas Eve, it is an extremely poor towing experience compared to the ones I have had prior. As he was leaving he was trying to ask me to open my passenger door to search for the piece he dislodged I was so over it I told him to go away and I'll figure it out. read more

Worst towing company I have ever had through AAA. Driver lied and said there was no mechanical problem with van and told triple A that it was a domestic dispute. My son lost all brakes in his van and stopped the can with his feet and pushed van into Apt complex he did no live there driver was rude and took off and said nothing never asked for my Id or talked to me. When I called Tripke A they told me what the tow driver said I talked with a supervisor from Triple A and sent out another tow driver from a different company no problem at all. I will never have that company tow a vehicle. I called company the next day to speak with an owner was told he was not there left info with girl asked for call back never received a call back.
