Order food from here today . And I'm a sorry to say that my food was horrible ! Everything tasted bad or old & also the mozzarella sticks look like they have been dropped on a floor and thrown around they were not even hot and they seem like they have been sitting for hours under a heater they were not crispy or anything just horrible , I've never in my life mad a review on food but this here is just unacceptable

I must say, I was impressed at Hooks. Their first location is definitely in a seedy-looking area inundated with people walking up to your car begging for money. I would never consider dining in even if I could. However, the food makes me drive there to risk it all! All in all, this newer location has it all! Incredibly amazing customer service, clean, safe and delicious food. I will return; without a doubt!

Rock N' Crab was not my original plan, but boy was I happy it ended up being our choice!…read more Definitely a must try if you're looking for Cajun, strong flavors, and why not a boil! We walked in without a reservation since our original restaurant in plan was closed. We found parking easily and were seated at our table immediately. We got very lucky that there were barely any customers at 3pm on a Friday! We ordered 12 steamed oysters with the house blend spices and they were delicious!! Mild spice from the Cajun, buttery, sadly just a touch over cooked, but the flavor more than made up for it. We also ordered buffalo wings with onion rings, a dirty martini and a down beat mule (Moscow mule). I wish I had space for a boil! Now I just have a reason to come back. Definitely a must try! Service was prompt, restaurant was clean, no frills.

We didn't have a very good meal here at all. They feature "Cajun" food per their signage, but what we ordered was quite under seasoned and blah. I didn't feel like getting messy, so ordered off their non-seafood boil portion of their menu. I started with a half dozen steamed oysters. I chose garlic butter as my topping. The oysters were okay, but were minuscule and topped with faience (fake melted "butter") and a ton of chopped garlic. In fact, there was more garlic than oyster in each shell! After the oysters, I had their seafood gumbo. It was supposed to have shrimp and calamari, chicken and sausage and okra, et al. Instead it was like a rice gruel in a brown colored base. The only seafood were 4 teeny tiny bits of shrimp. And none of the other things indicated on the menu were there either. The broth was totally tasteless. I tried unsuccessfully to "doctor" it with Tabasco and lemon and salt. When asked about it by the waitress, I told her it was awful. She didn't do anything about it. My husband got their fried oyster basket. His oysters were institutionalized premade little heavily breaded squares. Strange, since they have fresh oysters in house. And the fries that came along side were coated -- not his favorite. I'm of the opinion that if something is listed on a menu, it should be as good as all their other food. Or they shouldn't offer it. If this experience is any indication of their kitchen"s abilities, I'd skip the extremely expensive seafood boils here, as well. When the best item we had was their saltine crackers, you know we won't be returning...

I picked Batch while walking by because it had the cutest vibe but we weren't expecting much. We were greeted by Rachel, the manager, at the host stand. She didn't just lead us to our table, she walked with us. She asked us if we were from the area and what brought us in. It was all small talk but felt genuine. She waited until we were seated to hand us or menus and it didn't feel rushed. Gabby, our server, showed confidence and love for the place when she introduced herself. They make everything from scratch here and Gabby sold us on the eggrolls and mac and cheese to start. However, before those could arrive, Rachel came by with an order of biscuits for us. These were absolutely to die for and the gesture was very kind. The eggrolls, bbq sauce, and ranch were the highlight of our food adventure here. You could tell this was all freshly made. We both ordered burgers and those were very good, hearty, and not greasy. Their house sauce B1 added a perfect element of smokiness to the burger. Gabby's service ensured we always had refills, never had to ask for anything, and the table was always clean. Rachel stopped by and checked on us and also gave us cute glasses to take home with us and coupons to come back for happy hour for some "off menu snacking". So if you're asking if Batch does things differently, they absolutely do. We can't wait to bring our friends next time. Ask for Rachel and Gabby and don't sleep on the eggrolls!

Although, the noodles were the same sauce as the crab boil it tasted totally different. Inside wasn't crowded. We went for an early dinner, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces available. One downside before even getting there was the road leading into the restaurant, lots of potholes and gravel made it feel a little rough getting in. Service started a bit slow as it took some time before we were greeted, but once our server came over, she immediately brought water and was very friendly throughout the meal. The menu was a little confusing and felt all over the place. The "appetizers" were mostly fried foods that honestly seemed more like à la carte meal items. Along with that, they offered low country boil bags, fried rice dishes, and Asian noodle options, just an unusual combination overall. We ordered one of the boil bags along with a few appetizer items. Everything tasted good, and there really wasn't anything bad about the food. The crab legs were definitely the highlight of the meal. That said, nothing really stood out enough to make it memorable, especially for the price point. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it's probably a one-and-done visit for us. Glad we tried it, but not somewhere we'd likely return to.

We sat outside for an early brunch with perfect weather... it set the tone for a beautiful, breezy morning! Food-wise, everything was solid across the board. Nothing that completely wowed me, but definitely good and enjoyable. I was especially excited for the smashed croissant avocado toast, but it fell a little short for me. Smashing the croissant kind of takes away what makes it so good in the first place... you lose that fluffy interior and crispy exterior, and it ended up a bit tough. The oysters and side of bacon were my favorites of the table, both super yummy and I'd absolutely order those again. The truffle fries and short rib benedict were also good, just didn't stand out in a big way. And of course, mimosas... no notes there. Overall, a really lovely brunch spot if you're looking for great ambiance and a relaxing outdoor vibe. The food is good, the setting is even better, and it's definitely a place I'd come back and try something else!
