After the death of my wife I did not want a complicated or time consuming process to arrange for her cremation. The Honor Cremation's web site assured me that all the arrangements could be made in a hassle-free environment. As a result, and I will not hesitate to use them again if needed in the future. I used Honor Cremations' web site to make all the arrangements. They responded immediately to schedule my wife's pickup for that day. When pickup team arrived at the predicted time, the two men were dressed in black suits, and were both respectful and consoling. They wrapped her body in a suitable covering and placed her on a stretcher for the trip to Honor Cremations facility. Their website provides a number of options for both visits and the details of the cremation including choice of urn and disposition of the urn with options from home delivery to burial at sea. They sent a detailed schedule for all the steps including the completion of the legal paper work and the options for the family to visit and or participate. Their daily follow-up emails reported the completion of each step and the schedule for the remaining steps. My dad recently passed away, he was on comfort care and I was looking for a crematory to help with preparations for his passing. Not only was Honor Cremations the first and fastest to respond, but they were also so nice, helpful and caring. They really do answer the phone 24/7. I was talking to David on the phone in the afternoon regarding my dad, and later that night around midnight I called again to give some information about the paperwork I had to fill in. I thought there would be other people working for a later shift to answer the phone. I was surprised to hear that it was still David there answering the phone at that late hour! Anyways, I avoided calling so late unless it was an absolute emergency after realizing that. I even had to bother them after I signed the contract to update the number of death certificates, and they were so helpful to help me with that as well. They let me know what was going on every step of the way. And they are pretty fast about replying to their text messages as well. I'm so glad that I found them. Honor Cremations takes a different approach and focuses their attention primarily on comforting family members in the best possible way by providing impeccable attention to detail. The primary spokesperson for the company is David who comes from a ministerial background rather than a sales one. The selection process only involves several simple choices with their own nice urn included. If you want a little extra touch David is quite accommodating in helping with your desires. David also takes it upon himself to personally deliver your loved one's cremated remains right to your home (providing you are within a set mileage parameter) for FREE. If you are out of range, there is a nominal charge added for longer personal delivery. Not only is Honor Cremations reasonably priced, but they also take an additional extra step and plant a tree on behalf of your loved one. How many funeral homes do that? I admire their entire approach to taking excellent care of your loved one. I am deeply appreciative about the way they took loving care of my wife. This review is for Mar'24 service. I searched funeral homes when my father was on comfort care with a few days of life expectancy. As an immigrant family, all we wanted was to make it simple and yet show the gratitude in the most respectful way for my father with 1) private viewing 2) witness cremations. At other "traditional" funeral homes, they list the package price only for a formal funeral services in large group. It seemed there was almost no option for small family to do the the similar in the smallest scale without setting up separate days for all events, or they made everything look so complicated with prices on every little individual items that i don't even know what each item means and it made me so overwhelmed and hesitant to call for detail. But Honor Cremations was the only one i found that had the simple options with transparent pricing. When i called, David was very patient, spoke kindly with empathy, and giving me all the answers to my questions and told me to call 24-7. When my father passed away after 10 days, i knew who to call, so i was able to take care of the final papers with the hospital, demand the doctor to give a private time with my father after his passing until Honor Cremations come and pick him up right from the room without placing him in morgue. Then, the team at Honor Cremations provided excellent services with care and very attentive throughout the entire process. David came and set up the viewing area before the reserved time, he was very polite in guiding us and our father. We used most of our viewing time sitting down and praying individually, and he was very quite almost invisible but always there when we needed him. At the end, I noticed that all the extra chairs were all gone, he removed them so quietly that i didn't even notice he was doing so. It made me feel special with only the chairs we needed. The team helped answering a lot of questions over text messages. My father's ashes were nicely put in the nice bamboo urn, and it was very easy to access for scattering. My mother recently passed away and we had no idea where to start on her arrangements. We called several places that seemed cold and very business like. When I called Honor, it was so different. David and Mayra were so kind and compassionate. They explained everything in an appropriate way that made me feel comfortable and supported. They did not push their services. Their website is very easy to use and you can do all of the paperwork and payments at home. The only time we came in was to bring my dads clothes for the viewing. The location for the viewing is small and right at the crematory- both Mayra and David met us there, which I wasn't expecting, and were there to coordinate and even help with some final touches. I highly recommend Honor Cremations for their EXCELLNT service. I totally agree with all the reviews for Honor Cremations. "Honor" is truly the perfect name for this organization. I made arrangements for myself. I have a special request to be cremated with certain items which other people may think it's stupid, silly, dumb or whatever, but David understands and assured me I will be cremated with my items by putting an addendum on my contract listing the items. He really understands why being cremated with my items is so important to me and he honored and respected my wishes. I have absolute total trust that my wish to be cremated with my items will be carried out. I live in S.F. and cannot go to his office to sign the contracts so he came to my place so I can sign the contracts and finalize the arrangement. The most caring, honest, helpful provider of direct cremation services out there. We lost our dad a few weeks ago and he did not want a funeral, only direct cremation, then internment in a military cemetary. We spent a lot of time the week following his passing researching providers of direct cremation. Prices varied, which is to be expected, but other providers would have charged anywhere from $300-600 extra becase dad was a larger man. Honor does not do this, which is very admirable and much appreciated. They also returned Dad's ashes in a lovely wooden box, not a plastic urn like other, more epensive providers. This was so appreciated and a very extra special touch. Scheduling the cremation was easy, we were able to submit forms online via their portal and they had picked up the remains a few hours after we signed the forms and made payment. I requested fingerprints and locks of hair which they took with care and happily provided. Their level of contact and response to our questions (and I had many!) was superior. They provide several ways to get in touch (phone, text, email, the web portal) and they typically respond to queries within 10 minutes. All around amazing service, kindness, caring and compassion. David, Mayra and the other staff at Honor Cremations helped us at one of our most difficult times. I highly recommend their services, should you find you need them. read more
