Drew was very helpful. I would recommend getting extra death certificates. Cost is reasonable and was recommended by a hospice worker.

Losing a parent is incredibly hard, but they handled everything with such a high level of dignity and grace that it truly eased some of the burden for us. Communication: From the very first call, I felt heard and supported. They were incredibly patient with all of my questions and kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me so much peace of mind. The Process: I found their approach to be very modern, transparent, and straightforward. There was never any pressure or "salesy" feeling, just genuine empathy and a focus on what my mother and our family needed. The Memorial: They helped us navigate the details for her memorial with so much respect. Everything was handled professionally, allowing us to focus on honoring her memory rather than worrying about the logistics. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I also really appreciated the honesty in their business model. I know it could technically be cheaper if they did every single thing in-house, but they intentionally use outside sources for certain steps to ensure everything is handled by specialists. I actually felt like I got more value this way because I knew I was getting the best possible care at every stage. It's also worth noting for other families that they don't have an embalming service; they focus purely on a dignified, natural process which was exactly what we wanted for my mom. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Honor Cremation, for taking such wonderful care of my mom.

Customer service: 5/5 Value: 3.5/5 Execution: 5/5 From a service standpoint, they excellent. The team is available 24 hours via phone and text. For the majority of my work with them, they were extremely responsive, had good pass downs between shifts and team members, and worked to meet all our needs and timelines. They never pressured us into anything or upsold us. They just wanted to support whatever we needed. My family needed an expedited cremation and memorial all within a week of my family member passing and Honor Cremations was able to make that happen and get the paperwork done with the county in that timeframe. Honor's paid casket option was cheaper than other crematories and was a very nice, presentable casket. Honor does not embalm in house but has embalming providers they can work with. The only reason I would hesitate to select Honor again is because other crematories were more cost effective (up to $1000 cheaper for our package selections), but Honor did what they could to reduce costs and provide flexible options and offerings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others if service and empathy is a top priority.

It took more than 9 days including the weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Rainbow was encouraging. She gave me the time, 3 PM, so we could delay our plan i.e. postpone to a later day. In the meantime, due to my "cyclic telephone conversation with Kaiser", I stopped arranging for details like flowers and other services. I will be posting my ordeal with Kaiser separately, later. Since I was angry, frustrated and did not understand the complications for Kaiser refusing, I did not have the energy and could not "REPEAT the cyclic information I HEARD". So, I did not update my family after every single telephone conversation. At one point, others in "Santa Clara Funeral and Cremation Services" started questioning and became involved. I believe that due to their involvement, we achieved a compromise and I accepted "the work-around". Thank you, Rainbow, and everyone who supported me during one of the saddest periods in my life. Despite presenting itself as a nonprofit providing "an array of direct support services for older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers in Santa Clara County," my experience raised serious concerns about professionalism, communication, and accountability. In January 2026, I contacted Sourcewise again after they responded to a public review and asked me to reach out directly, which I did. I communicated with a director through email, but no resolution was reached. During an intake call that lasted over 30 minutes, I was asked questions such as "Where are you from?" and "What did you do in your country?" even after clearly stating that I have lived and worked legally in the United States for decades. I found these questions unnecessary and inappropriate. During the same process, I was offered a wage below the legally established minimum wage for the City of Santa Clara, where they are located. This was later acknowledged by the director as an error. What an error. I also experienced repeated and intrusive follow-up calls simply to notify me of emails, which I found unprofessional. Additionally, when discussing job location and transportation, my explanations about using public transportation or even Uber if necessary were not properly considered. Instead, the Lead Intake Coordinator focused on walking distance calculations, which reflected a lack of attention to what I was actually communicating. "It will take 2 hours to get to our office in Santa Clara", was the LIC answer. I reside in downtown San Jose. Due to these and other issues, I decided not to pursue services with them. Following their own suggestion, I submitted a formal grievance on March 9, 2026. After more than a month, I have not received even a basic acknowledgment of receipt. I resent the grievance on April 3, 2026, including additional details to ensure a complete record. Again, there has been no response. This lack of acknowledgment is particularly concerning given that the organization explicitly advised me to submit a grievance. I also requested contact information for the Board of Directors, which was refused. This has been an ongoing issue, and the absence of any response raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability, and how concerns from the public are handled within an organization that states it "respects individual rights" and aims to support the community. The failure to acknowledge or address a formal grievance is, in my opinion, unacceptable.

I called Bruce the night that I found out the news. Since they're open 247, I was able to speak with him via phone call. He was very understanding, caring, and accommodating. We made an appointment to meet in person the following day. Once I got to the location, it was a bit difficult to find the parking, since there were several businesses located in the same area. Definitely pay attention and look for the #4, so you know which parking spots you can park in. After I parked and texted Bruce that I was there, he immediately went outside to introduce himself and opened the garage for us. He had several caskets opened to show us, including the original casket that I chose for my mom. When comparing the prices of the caskets he had with the one Lima Mortuary had, there was such a huge discounted difference. It's crazy because it's the same casket. For reference, Lima was charging us $2,195, and Bruce was charging around $1,400. That's almost an $800 difference. In the end, I chose the one from the mortuary due to time restraint and the fact that I wanted a specific casket that had white exterior interior. If I had known earlier that I would have had an issue with my mom's sizing, I would have 100% gone to Casket Outlet at the beginning of my mom's viewing and funeral preparations. I definitely recommend that you go to this business if you are in need of good quality caskets with discounted prices.

From the very first call, the team made the entire process so much easier and more manageable for us. They guided us step-by-step--from helping us schedule meetings, to clearly explaining what needed to be done depending on the practices we chose (Catholic or Christian), to handling all of the important documents on our behalf. Their advice was always practical, honest, and rooted in experience. One thing that gave us tremendous peace of mind was knowing that my father would be cared for with dignity during his full-body repatriation to the Philippines. They ensured that he would arrive safely and properly prepared, and we are forever grateful for that reassurance. A special thank you goes to Tom Beddingfield, who was a true anchor through all of this. His patience, professionalism, and steady guidance made an overwhelming process so much easier for our family. I cannot thank him enough for a job exceptionally well done. We also want to highlight the incredible work of Dean DeBruin, who created my dad's video tribute. This was no simple task--my father had a massive and disorganized collection of photos totaling 16 gigabytes. Dean was unbelievably patient, kind, and accommodating through every revision and request. The final tribute was heartfelt, beautiful, and truly captured who my dad was. The coordination between the funeral team and the church was seamless. The staff communicated directly with the parish where we planned to hold the viewing and funeral mass, which removed so much stress from us. We are especially thankful to Fr. Francis, who reached out personally to learn about my father's life so he could honor him meaningfully during the service. We would also like to express our deep appreciation to Noriel P. Adricula, the incredible singer and pianist who provided the music for the funeral mass. His performance was heartfelt and beautiful--exactly what my father deserved. All who attended my father's funeral were in awe of how beautifully everything was managed--professional, heartfelt, and all at a very reasonable price. We felt supported every step of the way, and we are truly grateful for the care this team provided to our father and to us.

Other funerals I've gone to, the staff members whether working in parking control, or guiding the pall bearers seemed more caring. They'll make sure the family's experience is emaculate, or at least almost perfect. Here, they don't greet you, nor at least try to assist the elders especially in the parking lot. They'll just stand there with a blank look to make sure you're okay... without even a smile. But they are seemingly professional with their guidance. Definitely not naturally charismatic. I hope they like their jobs. For me, it's been sad to keep experiencing loss of loved ones. We are getting older, and it's called the circle of life. Going back to the cemetery itself, the graves are quite scattered. You'll see clusters filled, and then empty spots steps away. The views of San Jose City is beautiful! Blue skies. Birds chirping, some wind, made my experience wonderful. Of course depending on the weather. The cemetery is still expanding into unused land. However, some nice homes are built directly across the street, where the lawn may be shared (literally). Luckily, I'm friends with Casper, and Poltergeist is only a movie. LOL. I'd say it's an average 3.8 stars experience.
