I bought from LocalFlavor.com 2 certificates for $49 each; one for up to 6 rooms of carpet and one for up to 6 rooms of tile. I only have 6 rooms in my house. When they came out they didn't count rooms, they measured the square footage. They then multiplied that bu 0.65 to get $90 for carpet and 187.35 for tile - Total $366.25. I had already paid 49 x 2 = $98 to LocalFlavor, so the total was .......$464.25. The ad in LocalFlavor led me to believe I was going to pay $98 - this is misleadng, at best, and borders on fraud. read more

Do not feel like the Groupon is straightforward but since the owner has already implied legal action for not reviewing the services instead of the promotion; here's that review. Valid only for option purchased. Also includes pre-conditioning, deodorizing, and chemical steam clean. Limit 1 per visit. Limit 1 per household. Appointment required. 24 hr cancellation notice required. Must use promotional value in 1 visit. Additional charges may apply for stain removal, red out, carpet repair, heavy chemical treatments, power scrubbing, pet odor removal, water damages and dry clean fabrics. Valid within 50 miles of 32216". It turned out to be a come-on offer. When the two guys arrived, they walked the rooms (not measured), studyed the condition of the carpets and quickly came to the conclusion that I had 840 square feet and I would need to pay for additional work. I should note three factors: 1) While the carpets were not stained, they were dirty. That was why I called them. 2) I had seven rooms to clean and of course was willing to pay extra for the seventh room. 3) The house is empty of furniture so there would be nothing to move. When I pointed out to the guys that their jobs would be a little easier, they reminded me that the absence of furniture meant more square footage to clean. The upshot was that they said I must pay for heavy chemical treatments and power scrubbing. They offered several options beginning at $298 and then $518 over what I had paid. When it was clear that we couldn't come to agreement, they called the owner and I spoke with him. He let me know we were on a recorded line, "just in case". I asked the simple question, " would you bring your equipment in, pre-condition the carpet, deodorize and chemical steam clean in 6 rooms". He said no he would not. So his guys headed for the door. Oddly, they came back in a moment and asked if they could take some pictures of the inside of my house "for their lawyers", they said. Here is the disturbing part: One of the guys became so agitated that after they left, he could be heard cursing, screaming and slamming truck doors. Yesterday, Less than ONE hour service for $596 ($150 prepaid Groupon). Imagine the surprise of being quoted over $446 more on top of the $150 prepaid via GROUPON! The lead technician used an instrument that started beeping, he asked if we were here for Hurricane Irma, which I stated my son was told to evacuate. Oh he is Navy, (ding $) I was a previous EOD, he then related to the beeping of areas as wet (rain) some stains appeared on ceiling other inexplicable but said it showed saturation within can cause mold. Then he questioned does my son rent or own, it's a gated and golf community, (ding $) he told me he would have to pull carpet out to clean and ensure it's properly cleaned to avoid mold. Mind you nothing was wet. He quoted me the price, I called my son who was quite alarmed. We called the property management to alert them of Hurricane damage to add to the initial roof claim. They gave the same spill to them. He said he wouldn't "jip" anyone in the Navy brotherhood. In comes the Insurance adjuster ( so I let the lead technician show him his findings, then technician number #2 starts asking me about PR, how was my family. Kept me "occupied", the adjuster said he would go to the roof ( which was the Hurricane claim) and be done. I asked lead technician what did adjuster recommend. He said to "clean it". So we do it. The property management sends their Technician person, who proceeded to re-inspect the spotted areas in which I was directed to previously. He pulled the "beeping sensor instrument" and same spot the Honor Guys showed me starts beeping..,he pulls the carpet and announces " this is cause by pet urine which it's strong and will read by sensor as wet. So whomever lived before had pets!!! Plus ceiling stains were there before and were dry (checked by another reading instrument) and he also checked the attic. Wow!! Honor guys misrepresented their company by non-disclosure of knowledge (that pet urine can cause the sensor to beep), they misrepresented themselves on lack of integrity, using tag team, they used techniques of alarm and distraction, for their gain. The property management tech came today would have referred their carpet people for a standard $150 because house is empty for move-out. Had there been furniture to move it would have increased. Honor Carpet Cleaning; the only positive of this experience was the citrus smell that lasted one day and the knowledge gained: which we will ensure everyone we know throughout the base and elsewhere knows. I unknowingly bought the deal from Groupon and when I called to book an appointment, there was one rude customer service person who was telling me that I would have to pay $75 on top of the $29. I just went with the service just for the heck of it and when the technicians came over to carpet clean, they did not do a good job at all. After the job, I still had some black spots and stains still imprinted on the carpet and their explanation to that was: "Oh we put chemicals in that area and it will take some time to lighten it up". I gave enough time and nothing happened. This is completely misleading advertising and please refrain from using this service from this company. THIS IS A SCAM!! However, there is an upcharge of $90 per room for "chemical boost", $75 per room for "pet treatment/urine", $75 per room for Scotchgard (Teflon coating) with a base charge of $75 per room. His quote for 3 small rooms was $480!!! At the time I thought I was doing good to get this service for $250 but now I feel like I got ripped off. How did the quality compare to your expectations? I think I was duped.
