Though it was after normal business hours when I drove to the station, I appreciated that they didn't turn me away but dropped everything to calm me down and call an ambulance. I'm afraid I don't remember anyone's names or faces, but I do recall feeling safe and impressed with the rapid response. I am thankful to know the station is nearby, and now when I hear the fire trucks blaring down Kapiolani Boulevard, I say a silent prayer of protection for these brave souls that they may continue to do what they do best -- save lives.

My kids have come to check out the cool facilities and the amazing equipment, including the engines! I come to see who might be on the calendar lol, I kid! We always come with pastries or some kind of treat for the guys. We definitely appreciate all their hard work! Like I was saying, we've been to a couple of the stations on island and this one is not the worst and not the best. What I do know is this is one of the few stations where HAZMAT crews are stationed at. Pretty basic, kitchen, common, dorm and I believe the workout area is shared with the police station. Since we always have a purpose for our visit, I have no idea if anyone could just take a random tour... I'll ask and update lol.
