Shout out to the park custodian who takes care of the park . The Men's bathroom very clean no smell and also has a door with toilet paper LOL. I've been to many public restrooms in my lifetime and it's all gross . Here at KoKo Head no graffiti and no rubbish anywhere I can see . Nice basketball courts along with a baseball field . I'm sure on the weekend this District Park is heavily used so if you're in the area and need to use the restroom it's safe to say you can stop by at this park .

We just walked from the parking lot to the stairs for some pictures and I think I would've been able to make it up, but making it down would be the treacherous part. The entire area is beautiful and while I was walking to the trail I stumbled upon the range that is right next door, I was surprised and delighted! Took a ton of photos and would absolutely recommend.

Dive master Christian was very personable and knowledgeable, and led me on a couple of great dives. Captain Matt exudes skill and professionalism. My divemaster for my second dives was Nadia, who also led our snorkelers the previous day. She is friendly, very knowledgeable, and just a bundle of contagious energy. One of the best dive companies I have ever been with. I cannot recommend them more highly.

This is a must-stop when driving through the east side of the island!…read more Halona Blowhole Lookout is about 20-ish minutes from Waikiki. If you are feeling a little jet-lagged and waking up too early, I recommend getting here during sunrise. Multiple hiking trails are around this area, so make sure to head to one of those next. Besides the blowhole which is what is famous for, you can also access a small beach cave where I got to see a few turtles hanging out around the beach. If you decide to go down to the beach make sure to wear tennis shoes since it is very rocky. I also recommend coming on a day that is not too windy (it can get dangerous with the strong gusts). Overall a must see when visiting Oahu!

When visiting, always best to enjoy early in the morning before all the tour buses and tourist arrive. Also, when its windy, the crashes of the wave and the blow hole is more dramatic. At the blowhole. there is a small parking lot, so another reason to get there early. Next to the blowhole there a very small beach. There is not really a designated trail to this beach, but people still make their way down there. Wear hiking boots or good sneakers if going to the beach. Note the water is really rough at this beach- so more of a place to relax by rather than swim in due to the rough current that thrashes at the rocks. You sometimes may see turtles in the water. You can see turtles from above as well.

Shout out to some locals who were motivating me to keep pushing with no stops at the end! We went during sunset as our final stop on our last full day in Oahu. I heard people recommend to do it towards the end of your trip, and I fully understood why the next day!! (I ended up being a bit sore even though I'm pretty active at the Gym. No need to describe the trail since it's exactly what you see. Steps after steps after steps. Stunning views once you reach the top! It was pretty windy too but the air felt great. If you decide to go during sunset, beware that it's going to get pretty dark! It got incredibly dark once when we made it all the way down and needed our flashlight on our phones to guide us. We also took the wrong path out back to the parking lot. Overall, this was definitely challenging, but worth the view and a super good exercise!! Def wouldn't recommend for everyone. Take as many breaks as you need, and make sure to keep water on you!

First time was over 15 years ago and most recently 1 month ago…read more Really great hike that can be done within 1-1.5 hrs out and back. 2 areas where it's not a solid trail- holes between the wooden planks that you can fall through if you're not careful- but I found out there are bypasses that you can do off your the right when going up and on the left when you are coming down. Always people overestimating their abilities and when we were there, someone had to be taken away by an ambulance... I think just make sure to start early if you aren't in good shape and take breaks along the way. Also, bring plenty of water and electrolytes. Great views from the top!

Probably is because I search for all my shells personally which are treasures from the beach no diving just walking along as I love the escape along side of the waves. Wailupe Beach Park is a place I happen upon as I had plans to go elsewhere only to make the wrong turn and ended up here, this tiny but lovely park. Just at the end of the H1 East bound freeway which starts with Kalanianaole Hwy is this little escape where there's a few parking stalls, benches and restrooms it's not much of a sandy beach as it's mostly rocks but the views are just breathtaking and calming, I was looking for a photo op for my newest bangle creation...on that I've been working on for awhile trying to figure out how to design. Ikigai...not to just find meaning but what makes you happy the Japanese way of finding your ikigai and after much thought came up with the rings of Ikigai. Though there was no wind on this humid hot day the views was so relaxing I found myself just getting lost in the beautiful scene we're so blessed to have and thank you for the spot to show my newest bangle.
